Excellent Dishwasher
We replaced our Simpson dishwasher that had lasted for years with a new Stirling Aldi Dishwasher and so far the results have been excellent. We have used it daily for months now and it is the quietest dishwasher that I have ever heard. All the items placed inside come out perfectly clean and dry, with the exception of a few plastic items sometimes, but they were also damp when used in the older washer. The cutlery draw is a bonus and there are plenty of options for moving plate racks to accommodate larger items. Thoroughly recommend this dishwasher.

Piece of crap!!!
It doesn't clean, extremely quiet...because it doesn't go! My favourite feature is that it fills the gap in my kitchen cupboards where a dishwasher is meant to be. Most disappointing purchase I've ever made from Aldi's. After service care is beyond terrible!
Do yourself a favour and DONT BUY IT!!!!

Reasonable machine
We went from a working old machine to a new aldi one. .. and i almost want to go get my old machine back! Not sure if it's the economy of today's machines but it doesn't appear to wash as well or dry my dishes (now I'm needing to use rinse aid each time i do a wash. I'm sure what I'm saving in electricity,I'm just spending in rinse aid now!
Nonetheless, it does the job on the more intensive settings and the cutlery layout is the best idea (a rack, rather than a stand up holder)
Like it... but don't love it.

Never washes dishes properly and makes glasses even dirtier
This really is the worst and most disappointing product I've bought in a long time. Tried all the settings, different tablets with no improvement. its a complete waste of time. I'll be looking for the receipt so I can take it back and buy a model that actually washes dishes... the only people I would recommend this for are the Aldi buyers who are apparently not very concerned about this product actually being fit for purpose.

Realistically priced replacement dishwasher
Sadly our still working Dishlex dishwasher needed replacing as replacement parts not available. Aldi saved the day with a great product at a great price. Installed easily myself and it has performed faultlessly since. Love the cutlery draw, the quiet and the CLEAN load. A1
Forget the major brands .

good value for money
does not get a lot of use but what it does, is very good job we like to have a bbq so there will be a few people here and creating quite a bit of dish washing so instead of standing at the sink for half the night it is very nice to load the machine and let the dish washer do its own thing

It's a basic dishwasher which for the price does what we need but not an exceptional dishwasher.
We had previously had a Fisher & Paykel, a Dishlex and a Bosch so in comparison to those this dishwasher is basic. It does clean quite well but I always have a sink of water which daily dishes are place in and the dishwasher packed & run after dinner. It's taken me a while to get used to the cutlery tray at the top instead of a basket however I do think the cutlery is washed better this way. I can't stack wine glasses in the top as if we lower this basket the bottom level is too low for dinner plates.
It is fairly quiet but has long cycles ...Read more
so we have elected to use a short one which doesn't include drying. Otherwise the cycle is over 2 hours. I can't say I have any favourite features - it's just a basic dishwasher but it was also inexpensive and you do get what you pay for. If you buy one be prepared to have to use a rinse cycle after each meal unless you soak your plates.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Does not wash unless you use intensive and does not dry
Purchased this for a rental property but my tenants have had all the problems in the world with this machine. Does not wash properly, does not dry any plates. I have had an issue with the control board and the water pump for pumping water out. In the end because there are virtually no spare parts available I had to purchase a new dishwasher because it getting ridiculous to get a service.

Cheap and extremely cheerful.
We bought this from Aldi recently. Although they were not in sale at present, I called Aldi and they looked to see who had them in stock. We purchased and brought it to a Rental House which we have. It was easy to install, is quiet, washes well and is in my opinion outstanding value for money. I have used it on a number of occasions and it always works well. It comes with a 3 year guarantee ... something unheard of in today's market.Aldi head office could not have been more helpful in helping us find one, and the Store Manager loaded into our car. I couldn't believe how smart and compact it is. It is a freestanding model, but could easily fit under a bench.

Easy to use and reliable
Bought one of these for an elderly aunt to replace a 30 year old Vulcan Dishlex.
What can I say ! It was $249 and it`s been fantastic and it`s easy to use and honestly what do people expect for a $249 dishwasher ?
After 3 years not a single problem and would recommend it for a couple or a single person. It`s basic and being electronic very very easy to use and for an 80 year old it`s perfect. If she`s happy then I`m happy.
Digressing slightly I tend to find the people on here that review appliances like these want Rolls Royce quality from...Read more

Good for the Price.
I am very happy with my Aldi dishwasher - I bought the white one on special. I use it every day. it works really well when stacked properly. I use the rapid wash cycle and open the door as soon as it is finished and leave it for half an hour and the dishes are dry. It is very quick on the rapid setting. I didn't like the eco setting and haven't used the other settings. It works very well for me - very quick so low energy and low water use which I like. I always use Aldi dishwasher products too.

Look.. it's from Aldi
This is definitely not the best dishwasher I've had or the worst. The Eco wash option I only find usable if we have just eaten and food isn't dried remotely, otherwise I can expect to find food particles still on washed items.
I also find the trays etc a bit rattley and loose.
It's really a case of getting what you paid for. I've had an old 80's Bosch machine that did a better job overall and a newer Bosch that was also much better. Obviously not everyone wants to spring for Bosch or similar and this will serve your needs so long as you don't expect too much.

Great value for money
After my last $1300 dishwasher died right before Christmas after only 4.5 years I was not inclined to spend that kind of money again. So I decided to give Aldi a go. I got my Aldi dishwasher for around $300 on special. Bargain! Plus if it was really awful they have a great returns policy.
The first thing I noticed was the door was so light and flimsy. The inside design is exactly like a 'designer' dishwasher including the cutlery tray. It is made in China which is kind of a drawback for me. No offence to China but my good dishwashers have...Read more
all been made in Italy. Also the buttons and panel are very no frills. It has no child safety features or "extra hot" or anything like that. So yeah, very basic. It doesn't really look awful in the kitchen or anything though. Anyway I loaded it up and gave it a whirl on the "Intensive" cycle. I used Aldi tablets and rinse aid. Results were fine. No it's not 100% all the time but what dishwasher is? It's not the most drying of dishwashers either but I can live with that. I should say I have since used Fairy tablets and the results were marginally better. I actually salvaged the cutlery basket from my old dishwasher and use that because I find the cutlery draw system time consuming and pretty useless. I use the cutlery draw thing for the chopping board now. Is it awesome? No. It's satisfactory though and I have had no problems so far...it's been 6 weeks of twice a day operation. The fact is, I have lost faith in expensive brands as they are not what they used to be and are just trading off a previously good name in a lot of cases. I also find negotiating with those companies time intensive and demanding when something goes awry, there isn't a lot of customer service really. If this dishwasher dies in 4 years I won't mind because I didn't pay a lot and my expectations aren't as high. If it dies in the warranty period, i get my money back from Aldi. Yay! I'm a convert!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
dishwasher stirling
My motor broke that swishes the water around. I called Aldi had an appliance man at my house the next day. Was fixed within the week as part had to be ordered. Was more than happy with the warranty service!!! I love Aldi!! I was nervous as had read bad reviews but certainly not the case for me!! It cleans awesome, don't rinse the dishes and all squeaky clean!! It's super quiet in fact I had to keep checking when first installed, it's that quiet!!! I use only logix powder. About a teaspoon and rinse aid as recommended by installer, works a treat!!

Good value for money
We use 1 hour cycle and Logix Platinum Dishwashing Tablets or Logix Dishwashing Powder and open door at end of cycle to let steam out
Dishes and glasses are always clean
Slight noise sometimes but very acceptable
We had minor problem with door initially but Tempo who handle Stirling Products for Aldi were fantastic and other Companies could learn a lot from Tempo who kept us fully informed by texts or emails and a Technician contacted us within 24 hours

This washer surprised me!
I thought I'd just use this dishwasher for a coupple of years and buy a better one later on. However after using it I feel this washer is superior to the big brands.
The 12 place model gives more space between dishes and washes better as a result, at a quarter the price of my previous big brand 14 place dishwasher.
Recommend using the 'heavy' wash setting - with 65 degrees celcius rinse dries dishes without having to crack open the door.
Fits my 300mm plates since the top rack can be raised using the wheels on rack.
If you want hotter you ...Read more

Value for money.
This machine performs exactly as I expected.
I use fairy dish washing tabs and finish rinse aid. The results are satisfactory.
The machine runs quietly.
I can confirm that yes, there is a slight tar smell during the first few cycles, but this has gone and I am very satisfied.
My favourite feature is the large pull out utensil rack.

Works okay but is too small
This Aldi dishwasher cleans the plates well, is pretty quiet, but has a long wash cycle (minimum 112 minutes). The problem for us is that our dinner plates ( 277mm diameter) don't fit, so I'm going to return it under Aldi's 60 day policy. I was really surprised that the plates didn't fit, as they aren't that large. It would be good if Aldi put the maximum plate dimensions on their packaging as you can't look inside the dishwasher in the shop.

Doesn't clean, faulty and no tech support
It cleans better on the top rack than the bottom, I always have to re wash plates and bowls consistently every wash. It leaks from the door so I have a towel In front of the machine all the time.
Now 9 moths old it randomly comes up with error messages and won't drain for a few hours then will run a few cycles and do it again. I've contacted Stirling 3 times in 7 days with no response and I can't find a phone number for them anywhere. I would rather buy a second hand dishwasher than buy one of these ever again.
Same goes for the washing machine, it washes one towel at a time.
