So glad I get a new dishwasher later this year
My dishwasher died and we are currently building a new house so needed a new dishwasher to get us through until we moved. I though people always tell me how great Aldi products are and it was cheap so thought, why not.
I find its terrible at cleaning. You have to use heavy or pot setting otherwise nothing gets cleaned at all. Even then it can be hit or miss with how much comes off the dishes. I never had this issue with past dishwashers at all. I will say my dishes are dry when they come out, however what is the point if they are not clean. ...Read more
It is quiet so you don't hear it washing. It does do 4 loud beeps at the end but I have had other brands also do this. Wish they made this feature a option that you could turn off when you have a baby in the house. I find it feels very cheap. The bottom never stays on the rails when sliding it in and out so your forever having to lift the damn thing in and out which is annoying when full. Plastic parts like clips just come off and then your left trying to work out where it came from. Put anything heavy in the bottom and it collapses the large plate rails and knocks them all down - even just more than 6 large plates will do this. It has no features that I like and I can't wait until I move and leave this thing behind.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

It does wash dishes
Use the ECO settings most of the time due to program length, however, you will need to rinse first; especially due to the design of racks that keep plates close together.
Doesn't dry particularly well.
Dont really notice the sound.
Its cheap but no delivery from Aldi, so extra cost. Easy to self install.
Few issues: seals come loose, bottom rack comes off track, long cycles, dispenser can be blocked by items

Sterling Dishwashers, The VW Diesel of Dishwashers
Yes, probably made in the same factory as VW diesels, a completely shonky product. We bought a Sterling dishwasher from Aldi in Helensvale, Gold Coast in July, it didn't work from the day of installation. Technician came out 3 times over the course of 3 months to replace circuit boards and in the end he said "I can't fix this, it's probably bad wiring" My hands are red raw from having to 'do the dishes' by hand for the last 3 + months. I am told I will not get a replacement but a refund instead. Great however it's up to me to dispose of the 'corpse'.
Think twice before buying white goods from Aldi. You get what you pay for these days and it's just not worth the risk.

Fantastic Dishwasher
We purchased the Stirling dishwasher almost 18 months ago, had it installed by a licensed plumber and have found it to be excellent. We use the Logix tablets and have always had everything come out spotless, even egg and melted cheese. Plastic items are usually still wet but you'll find that with most dishwashers. We find it efficient to run and are very glad we chose it. For such an inexpensive dishwasher, (we paid $299) it is up there with the best of them.

Get what you pay for!
I purchased the Sterling W60A1401B Dishwasher from Aldi last week. I've only run it four times, but the issues are beginning to mount. Figured out how to raise the top basket, but then the cuttlery tray is difficult to attach and use.
Last night, to my horror, when I went to turn it on, I noticed the seals on each side had come loose- they don't go all around the botton, just to the botton on each side of the door. I pushed them back in place and ran the thing, but didn't dare leave it unattended in case it leaked (it did not). As I prefer ...Read more

Nearly a year later, the machine washes adequately, but does Not dry well, at least not on the economy cycle. Have to remove most things and air dry or use tea towel. Also, it doesn't turn itself off,... Read more
so if you run it overnight, as I do, it remains on standby until turned off manually in the morning.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
stirling dishwasher
I have had it for about 3 days. In my opinion, a very ill thought-out design when it comes to dish racks. if you have young kids, and use small bowls, plastic plates and or bowls, baby bottles etc this is not the product for you. the top rack is open with very short round racks for glasses or anything like that. all the glass, cups, and anything small just rolls/jumps around and doesnt really get washed, and come out with a dirty film on them. the 'extra' racks that you can add to the top rack are almost completely useless. the cutlery wash rac...Read more
k is quite small. on top of all this, the "eco" cycle leaves everything wet and you have to dry it in a sink rack after every use. the only reason i bought this one was because the 30 year old one looked a bit old, i wish i didnt get rid of it. they say you can take it back but i paid someone to install this so by the time i take it back and get it re-installed im out of pocket by what the cost of this dishwasher is.Similar opinion? Good while it worked!
Purchased in January 2014. I quite like this dishwasher as it is easy to use. Unfortunately after about 6 months the program selector button kept sticking and I called to get it fixed under warranty. The service tech came out within 2 days but they needed to order a new front plate. I waited 4 weeks and finally got back to the customer service team who informed me that they were going to refund my money ($299.00) because the parts were taking too long to come in. I think if I hadn't rung them, I would still be waiting! But, to their credit, I got my refund within 4 working days after my second phone call.

So far so good.
At this stage, too early to tell.
Reasonably good value for money other that the hoses are too short.
Reasonably quiet.
The top rack should be pre-installed higher.
The spray holes are larger than my previous Bosch dishwasher, which was constantly blocking up.
On economy mode, the dishes don't seem to dry that well, but it is early days.
Price.
Hoses are too short

I did have a small part broken, and I emailed Tempo Australia. I am still awaiting a response. A cable tie has solved the problem for the moment.

Months down the track I feel the dishwasher performs adequately for the price. The burning rubber smell finally disappeared. The racks are flimsy and will fall over if you stack more than six plates in the back. But for $300. I can't complain.
