I do apologise for the issues your experiencing with the MX8500R. This does sound like an issue with the PCB.
If your still under the 12 month warranty and have your receipt, please return to the store of purchase for a replacement. Alternativley please give our friendly customer care team a call on 1300 881 861.

Just noticed you can't get a paddle attachment, what do you suggest I use instead of paddle? It's for making a polish babka yeast cake? Thanks Donna

Hi, Whilst not an expert in this, the paddle is used for heavier items that a whisk can't take eg creaming (not melted) butter and sugar. So if you don't have a paddle (which is odd as this is the most general purpose tool for a mixer), then you can use a wooden spoon and a lot of "elbow grease" and it should be ok.

I have just unpacked my new mixmaster classic which came with a free JM6600R hand held mixer. I bought this about 12 - 18 months ago and due to a couple of moves (earthquake related) they have been in storage, unopened until now. I am really disappointed as the only attachments supplied are for the hand mixer, they don't seem to fit the mixmaster classic. Am I doing something wrong, can I get attachments elsewhere? I can't take it back to anyone as I bought it on flybys so not sure what to do but it is useless the way it is.

Mine came with 2 beaters, 2 whisks and 2 dough hooks. Suspect there are particular sizes for each model. Surely Sunbeam can supply you with what you need.
