We bought the TCL65X4US QLED TV over a year ago and have been nothing but satisfied with it. Picture quality is amazing and combine this with the Harman Kardan built in sound bar it gives a real movie night treat. It has all the smart TV features and is relatively easy to navigate the menus on the remote control. Only slight criticism would be its a little slow to load up but I think this is the same with most smart TV's. Had no issues so far and coupled with a 3 year warranty included it was a great buy.
Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for $1,553.

I purchased a TCL 65X4US TV last year, it seemed good value for money at the time. However, from the start there were numerous problems. In quick start up mode, the TV would randomly turn on during the day/night. Many times I came home from work and the TV had turned itself on. It also randomly went into store demo mode and the in built chromecast was buggy (I stream sport and it would often black out every few seconds). The headphone jack didn't work and the software updates via USB always had an error message (they told me updates could not b...
Read moree done via the internet, which I later found out to be false). The TV was serviced twice, including having the motherboard replaced, which fixed some, but not all of the issues. Netflix and other apps would freeze, as would the TV guide function. Overall, it seemed very buggy and poorly made. Very disappointing. Claimed it under warranty and exchanged with another TV. Would definitely not recommend TCL.Purchased in .

Purchased the TCL 65X4US in October 2018 and have had nothing but glitchy issues. The second remote was causing issues and after phoning TCL and doing a factory reset and software update they instructed me to just remove the batteries permanently and leave it in a drawer.
The issues we’ve had include;
The TV muting itself off and on
The sound not working
The volume pop up becoming stuck on the screen
Netflix turning itself on or off for no reason
The slide in menus for Freeview becoming stuck on the screen
The screen greying itself for no reason
The “quick start” option that can be selected in the settings doesn’t always work and having to endure a minute of watching the android logo animate is tedious ...
Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi for $2,496.

I've been using my TCL 65X4US since October. The picture quality for normal HD content is disappointing, even worse for fast motion scenes. If you're only watching 4K content that doesn't move too fast you'll be fine. The canned video they run on loop in the stores makes it look fantastic, but the reality is you get what you pay for and the TCL is streets behind premium brands like Samsung, Sony and LG.
The worst thing for me is the lousy Android OS. I gave away my old Samsung when I bought the TCL. I wish I could get the Tizen OS back. Many a...
Read morepps I loved on the Samsung either don't come up in the Play Store or just don't work. I end up using my phone to run the apps and cast them to the TCL. I find this clunky. (Btw I'm using an Android phone, so these apps do work under Android, just not on the TCL version.) Talking about clunky; the whole user experience is frustrating for me. I found the purpose built Samsung OS so simple and intuitive in comparison. If I had the choice again I wouldn't buy the TCL 65X4US. If you really want a Qled or Oled TV save up and buy a decent one, otherwise don't waste your money.Purchased in .

This is a great TV! Being an Android tv it takes about a minute to ‘boot up’ but the features and performance are as good as any and a lot cheaper than the classic big name TVs. I bought this TV for its cost, features and 3 year warranty.
The only downside so far are it only has three HDMI ports.

It's been 2 weeks since we bought this TV. It looked great in store (with 4k content). Upon setting it up at home, normal FTA TV looks pretty average honestly. However loading up netflix and playing 4k content seems to be quite decent. Speakers are decent too. I did notice that the netflix app started to glitch and lose audio and stutter at times - despite a good internet connection. I did a hard reset and that seems to have worked for now...
The TV takes a long time to boot up, there doesnt appear to be a sleep/standby mode. The menu GUI is very simple, not really something you would expect from a $2200 ish TV.
Overall, I am hoping the picture quality makes up for the short comings

****UPDATE****
I thought I'd update everyone on this tv after 2 months of ownership, the system ui has become unresponsive, and it gets confused with remote control commands, you press the home button to return to the Android home page and it will not take you there, the quick start option is, no longer really working, and I'm getting a white screen from time to time, TCL do not reply to emails?? They are not active to comments on Facebook. It's a nice tv, picture is good but the ui is buggy, it's not slow, it's frustrating. Netflix crashes a...

I recently purchased the TCL 65X4US, the 65" X4 series television from TCL. This replaced our old Bravia 42" LCD and so the 65" a pretty substantial upgrade in terms of size which we are really enjoying.
I chose the TCL because i didn't have a big budget but also didn't want to buy a generic model TV that would not have any support and longevity. My assessment of TCL is that they are building their presence quite strongly in Australia, and while not a Sony/Samsung/LG, they are now a known mid-tier brand. When compared to the major brands, the...
