Excellent
I love this car. It hasn't given me any trouble so far, for all these 8 months. It is very smooth and easy to drive and every moment in it is good. The best of all is it's design. The colour I chose was silver, and it shines beautifully in the sun. It has no flaws so far, and I'm very happy with it.
If this is the altise, then it is a wonderful car. It's sleek design makes it very desirable. It is very smooth and ou won't be able to make out if you are going at 80kms/hr, it feels like heaven!
I don't dislike anything about it, but I've only had it for 8 months so I don't know whether I'm right or wrong.

If you are looking for a sedan, this is one to look at, I feel like I'm driving a luxury car in it. I had a hire car while mine was getting repaired (after a small collision) & I realised how nice my car is after driving a base model Nissan Tiida as the hire car, absence definitely made my heart grow fonder.
This car is the nicest car I've ever had. I have the Grande & it is a car that thinks for you & seem to make everything easier. Automatic wipers come on when it rains, automatic light when it gets dark or going undercover. I would recommend...Read more

Bad
I like Toyotas but not the Camry 4 cylinder. The V6 Camry and Aurion are more fuel efficient. Even a Falcon gives better fuel economy
Poor fuel economy (10.7l/100k, and I am not a lead foot, used for highway running at speed limit) VSC. Has caused an accident that should not have happened. I have driven the previous model and never looked like losing control. The 2008 model MADE me lose it (I drive over 60,000kms a year in a car and had not had an accident since 1972). Constant gearchanging, even on the slightest hill

Good
Ideal sedan size for a family of 4. Typical Toyota, nothing exciting but does the intended use well. Has a good interior and boot. I have the poverty pack so lacks the outside temperature gauge which would come in handy. The extra power of the V6 (Aurion) would come in handy as it lacks power when needed but let's face it, in Sydney you can't use the power anyway. It can be rough through the gears under more urgent acceleration and on the open road it seems to search a lot to find the right gear which can be annoying so I normally manually select the gears for this. If you're after a comfortable, reliable around town car then it's great.
Good space, comfortable, big boot, value for money
Radio lights too bright and can't be adjusted

A good car for the money. The V6 would be a better option over the 4 cyl but overall a great family car
Looks good, good on fuel, large inside
lacking some power.

OK
Much better than previous Camrys in comfort and handling, with minor economy improvement.
I'm giving it 3 stars, as while it is a better Camry, you still get the feeling it is lacking equipment and features compared against other cars of similar price. Mid-size diesels will offer much, much better economy
The 5 speed auto. It made the power delivery much better, and improved economy. Seating position much improved from previous model. Good size and space in the front seats, back seats and the boot.
Seating position still not great, but at l...Read more

s is much higher, considering higher purchase price, more frequent servicing, more complex technology and cost of parts. Also, so many modern CRD engines have failed at very low mileage. A low-mileage Nissan Pathfinder burnt a hole in a piston because the wrong antifreeze was used, causing errating cooling and subsequent engine damage. Petrol engines are more robust and cheaper to run overall. One has to consider all risk factors, not just look at direct costs. We have seen the same on Toyota D-4D and injector issues globally, where the V6 4.0 petrol seemed cheaper to operate in the long run. A big 4-cylinder should last >500kSimilar opinion? Overall this is an excellent car - we have the base model with an added safety pack. It is comfortable & suits our family well. I personally find it more difficult to park than our older ford - but maybe that's just me. We were originally looking at a Mazda 3, but at a cheaper price we got our demo Camry, which included all the extras like the safety pack and ABS brakes.
For anyone looking for V6 Camry, these are not made any more, thus you will need to look at the Aurion which has an almost equivalent fuel efficiency.

I just finished a lease on the Camry (auto) as the office car. I'm not a big fan of the current look of the Camry. But having said that it's been a good reliable car and hasn't missed a beat. The only problem that I had with it was a jammed kiddy lock on the passenger side rear door. Being a fairly big 4cyl car, it tends to rev a bit hard during acceleration but settles down once you reach cruising speed. Can fit 3 adults in the back seat (albeit a bit squishy).
A reliable car, does the job
It's not a particularly good looking car.

Best car I've had so far. Would be very suitable for a family as heaps of room and comfortable ride. Reliability and build is top notch. Driving experience a little dull but overall a great car.
Well built, quiet on the road, very comfortable. Back seats are huge, heaps of room in the cabin, large boot as well.
Engine abit noisy, fuel consumption isn't great.

My Camry Grande 2010 engine does not turn off, when I tried to by pressing the start/stop button. Never heard of such a problem. Only ever heard of engine not starting. What to do?

Havent had that problem Id contract the dealer where you got it from
The problem was water leaking from windshield which was replaced 4 years back. Rain leaked in and caused electrical shorts/problems. I took it to service, they suggested I replace windscreen which I had it done. Then they cleaned the joints/junction what ever, and no problem at present. Hopefully the windscreen seal is good and durable and will not cause same problem. Totally it cost $450 for windscreen + $550 for mechanic service an total of nearly $1000.

I am looking to buy Toyota Camry hybrid 2011. But the problem is it has more then 300000km. What I have to look before I buy. Not buy this car?

Hi Riff,
I did not drive a Toyota with so many kms, however what I've heard they can do 1 mil kms when serviced properly. Look, it is probably the most reliable car you can get. Thus, examine the major parts properly such as engine (sound, start, behaviour by low and high speed, acceleration), gear box, suspension... Otherwise I believe it should be a very good car.
Best,
Andrej
The dealer told me they have no problem with older models. But of course depends on previous owner.

With Opel I knew within the first few weeks..........if it has not presented you with anything bad after 8 months, it will most likely be reliable in the long run. Please give us updates of your experience.
