Great plasma cutter for the home workshop

published

I found this machine to cut very nicely, clean cuts and although it only has a 15% duty cycle, I was able to cut 3mm plate without over loading it.

Purchased in January 2021 at Adelaide Tools for A$525.00.

Hi Regpye, this should be covered under warranty. Have you contacted our UNIMIG Service Department?

How hard would it be to connect the trigger of the torch to operate on a DIY plasma table?
Has the machine got a plug for the trigger or is the trigger only on the handle of the torch?
The machine appears to be ideal for a CNC table because of having a low frequency pilot arc that should not interfere with a CNC controller.

Hi Regpye, unfortunately, the VIPER CUT 30 does not have this capability, as it is more intended for the DIY market. Both of our RAZOR Plasma Cutters (RAZOR CUT 45 & RAZOR CUT 80) have been designed with CNC functionality, and have the ability to connect a CNC plasma torch. https://unimig.com.au/product/scm80r-cnc-plasma-torch/

That is unfortunate for me, because while waiting for a reply I purchased one and it is on its way to me now.
