Quality of this machine's coffee production is dictated by your grinder quality. A Mazzer Mini is excellent for example. Machine has given me 12 years of reliability. I do service it every year. It always produces excellent coffee, if it doesn't its my fault and usually bean grind wrong. My only major fault the heating element burn't out once 5 years ago. This would not be unusual bit like a light bulb they don't last forever. The finish on stainless steel covers edges was sharp at new. This should be resolved now considering age of my machine. Solid well built machine which in the home can continuously extract coffees close to a commercial machine quality and speed.

had this mmachine for 5 years now and cannot say anything bad about it. I really dont know where the other guys were coming from except they got unlucky. Of course it makes a bit of noise it a a professional level machine- go and see what the machines in the local cafe sound like. Huge tank. excellent pressure on froth reliable coffee every time. I compared it to my friend's Rocket but Im afraid the coffee is superior maybe because the components are larger?

Firstly, yes this machine does make great coffee when matched with a suitable commercial quality grinder. But, the build quality/reliability is not good. I was sold it with the promise that it has commercial quality components inside, but friends who bought Giotto’s at the same time still have their machine running, while mine has a cracked boiler and is currently a paper weight in my shed. No-one wants to perform the boiler replacement and I haven’t heard from Vibiemme. There are more reliable machines around, I’d get something else.
