So glad we purchased this dishwasher from the good guys. [salesman knew heaps about all dishwashers!
Love Westinghouse products and our 10 yrs old dishwasher needed replacing and after researching all other models under $1OOO we went with Westinghouse again.... thank goodness... fabulous dishwasher... takes loads of stuff and is so quiet whilst running. More than happy.... one thing.. fairy or cussons liquid tables are far superior to finish tablet supplied with dishwasher.. Always used finish but not any more. 6th March 2017... would like to let users know that after trying many of the options for wash I have found that always using the 15...Read more

Great dishwasher!
We looked at this model back in Jan 15 at a store that we were restricted to using due to having a store credit there.
We had researched the dishwashers that they sold there and had decided on the Westinghouse based on what we had to spend and the reviews we saw.
Unfortunately we were convinced by a pushy sales rep to go with another brand, which was a mistake.
After numerous problems with that brand over several months (I won't name it here, not into Brand bashing), we attained another store credit and went back to get another dishwasher.

OK
Just picked up from stan cash Brooklyn, was around $800 which was $200 cheaper than Harvey Normans ( imagine they would have priced matched )
Nice looking, plenty of programs, simple to hook up and has 3 shelves, Top shelf is a skinny slide out for knives forks spoons and egg flippers big knives ect. Second slide out is the usual type for glasses ect and this rack is adjustable which is handy if you have oversizes plates below. Bottom slide out fits plenty of plates and there is also a smaller knife and fork basket. Bonus is that the 2nd and ...Read more
3rd slide out have collapsible plate rungs, simply fold them down and pots, pans fie easily with out bending the guides. . I was looking at a bosch and came across this Westinghouse, reviews were good, price was great, So far it is miles ahead of my fisher and paykeal ( was crap branded f/p didn't do my homework then )

Not Happy With Size
I have Just bought the WSF6608W I spent a little more and got the better of the 2 models because I thought the cutlery draw would be handy well DON"T waist your money. we have had to remove the cutlery draw at the top because if you want to fit any decent size glasses in the top it won't fit with the cutlery draw. So I am very disappointed with it. not a dishwasher for a big family that's for sure.

Does the job well
We had the WSF6608X included as part of our new house build. Have been using the dishwasher almost daily for the last couple of months and are happy with the results.
* It has a good large capacity and can be configured in various ways.
* The cutlery rack is very useful and frees up room from the bottom rack.
* Operation is quiet, we hardly know it is on.
* Has several different modes
* Drying functionality is good when using the 'dry+' setting
* Outside stainless steel surface is easy to keep clean and doesn't show fingerprint marks easily.

Good Dishwasher
Have been using it for 4 months now good one. The only problem I observed is the rinseaid is finsihing fast.
Happy with the wash but in some cases especially the plastic bowls the soap still reamins(white spots/lines).
Its so silent when working real silence. No regrets for buying this Product.

I wanted to like it
We've had our Westinghouse dishwasher about 6 months now. I've previously owned Kleenmaid and Bosch ones. I have three issues with this dishwasher.
1. It doesn't dry. Despite maintaining my rinse-aid and selecting the extra dry option they still come out sopping wet requiring me to dry everything before putting it away.
2. Our compartment for the dishwasher tablet does not open. Ever. I have tried everything but it'll finish a load and the tablet will still be in the compartment and the dishes only semi-clean. I did call the service peo...Read more

There's not really much to discuss. Unless you're offering a full refund? I just want to warn others not to make the same mistake I did. Save your money and keep looking at other machines people.

Doesn't dry & utterly difficult to stack on middle shelf
Had for a month. First one I've owned and purchased new from Harveys. As stated, very poor drying power. Even if you do open doors as soon as cycle finished. Racks at the side of the middle shelf are a big nuisance! For anything small enough to warrant the need for these irritating additions would surely fit on the cutlery drawer so are just a hindrance as you need to move them out of the way easier every time you want to stack something there. Only good thing about this unit is that it is super quiet. That is all. I wish I'd gone single drawer F&P that I used while staying with my mother in laws. It was fab.

Not happy, poor dishwasher and backup parts.
Looked into the product and read reviews, had in the past purchased SMEG however, the reviews were favourable. The Westinghouse arrived on time however the very first day/night it broke down. The tech came out and had to replace "the board", so a new dishwasher sat idle for two weeks, one week broken awaiting agent to arrive and inspect, then another a week for the part to arrive from South Australia. After a further two months the dishwasher has again broken down, this time a faulty on/off switch and again a further weeks wait to get the part in. The whole purchase has left sour taste in my mouth with Westinghouse. How can a new machine have so my faults?

I feel ripped off
Mine is a free-standing model and I’m frustrated with noise and unpleasant steams. They claim that its noise level is 45 db but I feel it is more than that. – It has been installed under a thick stone benchtop and surrounded with cabinets, a standard dishwasher place-
It gives off a bad steam when washing and drying dishes; you can feel warm steam and hear its smell when standing near the dishwasher, which I had this problem with my previous Bosch dishwasher too. Its washing score is as good as my previous Bosch but its drying score is bett...Read more
er than Bosch, except for plastic lids- same for both.- About drying of this model, I’d like to mention that, it is fan-assisted and when the dishwasher cycle is finished, and you open the door, steam doesn't blow into your face – I liked the fan-assisted feature in my previous Miele too; - I had hot steam blowing issue with my previous Bosch. - My Bosch was freestanding, like my current Westinghouse dishwasher but it was so quiet. The first time that technician was installing Bosch for us, he opened the side panel and we saw a thick layer of insulation bat like a thick carpet behind it, which made the dishwasher almost silent. I don’t know why this Westinghouse dishwasher is so noisy! I don’t know how Choice has reviewed it as 42-3 db noise level -for its 120 minutes program.- When this dishwasher is washing pots, it is like a dragon breathing fire. I've lost my trust on Choice after buying this dishwasher and I have doubt they’ve even measured its noise level; they might have repeated the factory lies with some twists on their website or they’re doing it wrong. My previous over-counter Omega was much quieter with the same claimed noise level. My previous built-in Miele dishwasher -with no marvelous features - was so so quiet and I could barely hear anything when it was running. Its washing score was better than this Westinghouse and I can't remember I’d had taken even a dirty spoon or jar out of it. My judgment is telling me that Miele washing score was better than Westinghouse.5 comments

I forgot to mention, I had my good quality leftover onion and tomato keepers melted down and deformed just in the first month; I can't remember an experience so harrowing as that before with my previous dishwashers.
And two more things to add; my lemon squeezer paint came off after few days of washing with the dishwasher. Another thing is flimsy parts like lower rack bottom basket, which can’t be pulled out witho... Read more

Great product
I had Kleanmade dishwasher before and it lasted only few years. Two years ego i bought smeg dishwasher from grays auction for $400 top of the range, it lasted only 18 months. No guarantee, no replacement. I open it up and found that one of the electronic board stop working. I tray to fixed it but it was impossible, to buy new one would cost me over $500. I decided to scrap it, what a rubbish would never buy that, and imagine someone paying $1400 what a rip off. So i decided to buy Australian company dishwasher I have it now for few months but I...Read more

Absolutely love it
My westinghouse dishwasher finally died after 13 yrs. I searched high and low read reviews on all types. I thought i narrowed it down to 2. Main specific i wanted was the cutlery draw. I went to harvey norman with my model in mind and it got to a point where the cost kept increasing. In the end i thought "it washes dishes" salesman seeing my confusion asked what model i had. He then showed me westinghouse with the cutlery draw. Being half the price on the others i bought it. Installation was easy and couldn't believe how quite it was. After the...Read more
old one not really cleaning the dishes that well as it was dying. Was amazed on how clean they were. I even put heavily caked pots in there. On the 30 min cycle still came out sparkling. I absolutely love it and would definitely recommend.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic
Loving my new Westinghouse d/w wsf6608x, With a family of 7 plus guest this dish washer is what we needed the extra room due to not having to use the cutlery basket and only using the cutlery draw is a fantastic idea Westinghouse and thank you :). Also want to Thank you because never realized how noisy my old dish washer was until we put this one to use didn't think it was working that's how quiet it was, The first use I had my trusty tea towel handy as we had to dry dishes in old D/W but not anymore YEAH and its stylish to boot.
Regards
How quiet it is. Cutlery draw, look of it, How dry dishes are.
The only thing that i would have liked is maybe a alarm to let you know it finished but that is all.

super quiet, great buy
I bought this dishwasher to replace a basic dishlex. I wanted a dishwasher with a pull out cutlery tray, but didn't want to pay for a miele. This was a great find. It also comes with a basic cutlery basket if the tray isn't your cup of tea.
Shelves are adjustable, and parts of the cutlery drawer can be removed to accommodate taller glasses etc on middle tray. I have large dinner plates and they fit no problem.
Washes dishes well, drying isn't as good but if you open the door a crack within 5 mins of the cycle end and let steam out, they...Read more
dry great. Mind you I haven't tried the heavy cycle, usually just use the fast 30 cycle which works well. Nice stainless steel finish. SUPER super quiet. I often have to double check if it's on by putting my ear to the door when standing at the bench. Lovely change from our previous model. pull out cutlery tray, looks good, quality build doesn't completely dry dishesSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
