The Perfect Wash
My dishes all come out sparkling clean and dry. It is very quiet and has quite a few programs to choose from, Time wise and eco wise. It also has a top tray for cutlery which you can take out if you want but I leave mine in as it does a fantastic job on it (no marks). It has two other trays so you have plenty of room for pots, pans, glasses and dishes. This is absolutely the best. Had 4 dishwashers before but this is the best by far I have had. You can also change the trays by moving the adjustments in the tray. Stainless steel no problem.

Love the space!
This is a great looking unit, that would work for any modern home. Very easy to use, and fits most dishware, from posts and pans, to all sizes of plates. Love that this also has a tray for cutlery, and upgrade to the previous model. It is also a quite running unit.

No problems.
This does a great job - we've used it nearly every day since we got it and we've have never had any issues. Cleans cutlery perfectly.
I've never even noticed it making a noise but there's usually a fair bit going on round our place - its definitely not intrusive.
The stainless steel front stays looking nice - doesn't seem to mark like some do.
Adjustable shelf is great as we use larger plates for entertaining and our last dishwasher didn't fit them. We can fit large plates down the bottom and still fit tall stemmed wine glasses up the top.

Off to a good start!
I've replaced a noisy Blanco after deliberating whether to repair or go new. After a little research, I went with this unit as it seemed like a good deal.
First wash and I've noticed a significant difference - it's super quiet. Plenty of room with the flexibility of using the top cutlery drawer and easily adjustable second drawer. A good customer experience so far.

Good dishwasher except for one thing.
The dishwasher works well and cleans and drys to an acceptable standard. Sometimes it is a little noisy but that is not our major issue and it is mostly to do with what is being washed like pots etc. The main reason we brought this was the extra shelf for the cutlery. However we have found that we can not fit our plates and glasses in at the same time with the cutlery shelf in. The centre shelf is adjustable but it only has 2 settings. On the bottom one the washer arm hits the plates which are not overly large, on the top setting our glasses won't fit under the cutlery shelf. This is only by a small amount and could of been alleviated by a centre setting. We have removed the cutlery tray and gone back to using a basket.

great dishwasher for the price, very happy
Had the Westinghouse[white] for 2 weeks now and very happy with its performance.I have rated this dishwasher with 4 stars and not 5, only because I rinse dishes well before putting in so cannot say if it does a good job if dishes are dirty, overall dishes are sparkly clean and very dry after auto cycle,50/60dgr which runs for 2hrs.I always use +rinse and +dry as I am fussy and dishes are always great.Only some plastics don"t dry properly but am aware of this as sites say that some don"t dry well. This dishwasher is quiet and cannot hear from nex...Read more
t room,it is quiet running and isn't loud like our washer..I love that it does long washes and usually put on after 9pm as cheaper to wash and use on Eco wash as is a bit cheaper for us and this cycle runs for nearly 3hrs..We have not used cutlery tray at top because plates are large and need to move top tray up to fit dishes in but this is not a problem as use bottom cutlery holder and this is enough. Do love idea of top tray and will use for smaller crockery or toys etc in future. Love how you can move drawers up and down to create room and having 3 drawers is a bonus.Metal tray at bottom and filter is easy to clean out as well,I will use ACTIVE 3 to wash dishwasher and pipes maybe once every 6 to 8 weeks because I rinse dishes. Have not used 30min cycle but read it does not dry dishes, will test this out sometime. We use ACTIVE 1 powder and ACTIVE 2 rinse aid which you fill dispenser right up and light goes off. Apparently you get 160 rinse out of this bottle and paid only 12.50 for both products so should last a long time. I did use the tablet and rinse aid that came with the machine but made no difference to the machine performance.Maybe the tablet and aid does a better job if your dishes are dirty.ACTIVE is recommended by F&P and so much cheaper and because I rinse well I do not need to buy expensive tablets etc.,I feel....We recommend this product as the design is great and it does a great job washing and drying and for the value it is overall good. If it only lasts 7years we have got our moneys worth and Westinghouse I am sure will have a better design and model and better energy rating out by then which will keep us up to date with savings on power.OVERALL LOVE THIS PRODUCT.....THANKS WESTINGHOUSE..Just to mention we had this installed in a 1940s house and cost 500 to install.Because of old kitchen it sticks out to meet stove but does not get in the way on our work-space. Looks fine.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Be wary of comments about Westinghouse / Electrolux Dishwashers (Other Install Problems)
There are a lot of comments on this particular forum about a certain brand. They are usually from users with only one post. Also, there are complaints about Westinghouse / Electrolux not drying dishes. Not one model, but 4-5 models I have come across. I doubt there is a major design fault over such a wide range of dishwashers of one brand. Seems very strange, and they usually mention Bosch is the best. "Should have bought a Bosch". I have a snesking feeling some people are opening the dishwasher way too early for the dishes to steam dry as well...Read more
. Maybe we should all re-read our manuals. One last point. Dishwashers need the right power source, new homes have the correct power for the appliance. If the new dishwasher is installed incorrectly on a shared power circuit with an oven or other appliance, it may run for weeks, months, but will eventually begin to error out. Plus most people connect UP into the sink waste. This 500mm high kills dishwashers. As a small amount of dirty water can backwash into the internals of the dishwasher, eventually damaging internal components. New home plumb always plumb directly down to waste. So really, most of these complaints are due from dodgy installations or user errors.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very pleased with it and is very quiet
We love our new dishwasher and it is so quiet.
You have plenty if racks, and a cutlery top shelf, and a cutlery basket to use.
We bought it in July 2015 and have had no problems with it at all.
I would recommend Westinghouse for what you pay for it.

We wish we had bought a bosch!!!
We purchased from appliances online, great service although we had to pay $40 for Saturday service which was a surprise as the site says free delivery but it was late on Friday night so this may have been why. This machine was replacing a Bosch machine that was 10 years oldish. So the machine came and they took the old one and the packaging and I plumbed it in as it was a like for like swap in the plumbing terms.
The machine had a funny smell to it a bit like fish or stagnant water we guess that was from a test run at the factory but it was no...Read more

New Purchase
We had to replace an old d/washer and looked around, read some reviews (some not positive) but went with the Westinghouse. Very quiet and cleans better than the old washer. Still trying different washes to test it, but so far so good. Has everything more expensive ones have. Very happy!

Regrettable Purchase
This was a replacement for a Bosch washer. I read around but ultimately took the recommendation of the Appliances Online sales team, and regret the purchase. If I could, I would go back to a Bosch. In fact, if anyone from Appliances online reads this and would like to help me swap this for an effective dishwasher I'd love to do that. The cutlery, in particular knives, are never clean, and the worst 'feature' of all is the drying, even on the Drying Plus cycle dishes are never dry (I don't consider getting up at 2am once the cycle is finished to...Read more
open the door a viable options). The safety of this washer must come into question - the child lock is completely ineffective. Best I have ever had
I replaced a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher which had multiple repairs in the past with this model and I can't believe how things have changed since I first had a dishwasher.
The Westinghouse is quiet, and not quiet like 'turn down that TV', quiet as in I need to be within a few metres to hear anything. Makes me realise how loud every other dishwasher I have used it. It is literally whisper quiet.
The drying is also fantastic. I was really impressed with even my first wash, subsequent washes since then have had the same results. Almost everyt...Read more
hing is perfectly dry. The only things not quite dry were the tops of some cups, but then I am still learning the best way to load the dishwasher with my glassware and crockery. I like the cutlery drawer, although a bit more room to fit ladels easier would have been appreciated. I have only done the Heavy setting so far as it goes for 90 minutes like my old one did. I intend to try some sensor loads soon and see how that goes. The only negative I could give it (and that is based on my glassware and crockery) is that there really needed to be a middle setting for adjusting the height of the top drawer.1 comment
Tip: the spray for the cutlery drawer is in the middle. Place cutlery so it would be facing the spray for best results. I had some spoons not wash so well when the back of the spoon was towards the mi... Read more

Broke down on second wash
Purchased brand new and only had the dishwasher for two days.
On its second wash error code f6 came up. Meaning a faulty heat sensor.
Not impressed with a $900 dishwasher.
Now I have to go through the process of getting it repaired and wasting my time waiting around.
I chose Westinghouse as it is known as a great brand. This has changed my mind.

The Best Budget Dishwasher in fact the best dishwasher we have had, our last german diswasher cost d
Cleans very well even on the Quick 30 min setting for dishes and plates .Sauce pans and heavely soiled items need the longer cycles.
Very Quiet
Simple selector for choosing each programme and versatile stacking also a great Wine glass rack.
Purchased a top of the line Samsung in 2015 although quiet did not wash nearly as well as the Westinghouse
and the wine glass placement rack was poorly designed. We sold it after around 6 months use.

Do not buy this dishwasher if you own wine glasses
While this machine washes and dries adequately (the latter marginal though), the lay out Is terrible. I cannot believe it got past initial factory quality control. The cutlery tray is completely unuseable as there is not nearly enough space. If you want to put even average size dinner plates then the top drawer needs to be on top setting and is then too high to wash wine glasses. I am not fussy (see my couple of other reviews) but I am very disappointed I bought this dish washer. I sincerely cannot believe how terrible it is.

Excellent machine once you learn how to use it!
This replaced a Miele absolute top of the line stupidly expensive dishwasher that died after less than 7 years. What I will say is that it takes some time to work out how to properly use the machine. Stacking is an art form - it would be nice if the upper basket had a middle setting as the lower one is too low (causing the spray arm to hit dishes below) and the upper setting is too high (causing items on it to hit the upper cutlery tray). In general we can live with just the small cutlery basket, and longer utensils can rest on the plastic tray...Read more
s over the glasses on the upper basket, so we usually run without the cutlery tray. Long stem glasses do fit fine on the upper basket, but on an angle (which is not unusual). End result though is it doesn't quite fit as much as the older machine (which also had the upper cutlery tray, but usually did not need to remove it) - but again we're still working on the most efficient way of stacking it. The machine itself is pretty quiet when running, and cleans the dishes well on all the settings I've tried so far. One thing I'd note was we were not impressed at all with how dry the dishes were after a wash - no matter what setting we used, enabling the dry+ function etc (and as an aside, I’d note that the extra drying function is not available on all programs), there was still a lot of water left on dishes. Then the other day I finally ran a load using one of the free tablets that came with the machine (and selecting the ’tablet’ setting). Amazing. Bone dry. Tried it again the next day, and same result. All I can think is maybe the rinse aid setting needs to be turned up a notch, so might try that. So, for those people having issues with wet dishes and are using powder, try the tablets! Might explain why some people find it dries well, and others complain about it not drying at all.. Overall, we’re happy with the dishwasher. It’s not as good as our old machine was (before it died) but on the other hand it was literally one fifth the cost! Given that we could probably replace this machine every couple of years and still be ahead, we’re willing to live with the plastic baskets ** Quick update - I measured our old Miele and found it was the same width, but another 3 cm or so higher on the inside. This is probably why we only ever had to remove the cutlery tray in the old dishwasher when washing long stemmed champagne flutes, but with this one we basically have to remove it most of the time. Drying with powder is definitely better after increasing the rinse aid setting, although it benefits from opening up the door after a wash whilst it's still warm (the old dishwasher did that automatically). Plastic dishes are of course the ones that tend to trap water more, as they don't retain the heat like steel or china so the water doesn't evaporate as quickly. If you pack it properly, the dishes and cutlery come out spotless - frankly I think it cleans better than our old machine ever did. Although it effectively doesn't hold as much as our old machine, still happy with it given the price. ** Update #2. Well, four years down the track, and this is still going strong. One of the plastic clips that holds the plates upright on the lower rack broke, but a replacement set was not expensive and was easy to fit so it is as good as new again.Similar opinion? Terrible Layout
We are happy with the overall running of the machine however the layout is terrible. Don't waste your money in upgrading to get the cutlery tray as when you use that you can't even fit a normal size glass in it -- (forget about wine glasses, no chance). When the middle tray is on the lower setting (so the glasses can fit in), normal size plates stop the spray arms going around. The only option to stack the dishwasher is to get rid of the cutlery tray, which we paid over $100 more for. I would have thought that Westinghouse would have come up with a better layout seeing as they have been in business for so long. Not happy. Definitely won't be recommended this dishwasher.

Drying is too bad!!
Overall a good product for the price. Cleans dishes well but my dishes come out wet dripping with water even on dry+ option. It took me months to decide on The One but slightly disappointed with the investment at the moment.
It has active drying not sure if it needs some kind of activation as it certainly isn't helping!
