Fits in most Kitchens
This fridge fits most kitchens and caters for our family of five...was a bit pushed on Chrissy day. When its quiet at night I do notice its a little noisy but cannot notice it during the day. A good value, basic and reliable fridge. Stainless steel was an extra $100 dollars so I went with the white which looks great in my white kitchen.

Perfect for a growing family
I have recently went and bought a refrigerators and when I looked at this Westinghouse model it looked the perfect size that may be needed for a growing family the top freezer section has it's own thermometer for your different foods and is very roomy, the fridge itself has crisper draws and door space is variable to accommodate different size bottles, the glass shelves are strong and easy to clean, this whole refrigerator would be an excellent buy. I looked into the good guys and Electrical wholesalers that delivery was included but bargain for the price you want to pay, not what they want I Did. Westinghouse is a very good Brand.

Probably the best refrigerator we have ever bought.
Our refrigerator was purchased from the Good Guys. It runs perfectly and It maintains perfect temperature in all compartments, particularly the vegetable keeper which has been a problem for us in other fridges (freezing veges). It is barely perceptible to hear. The ice maker/storage unit is so simple and well planned that I think all fridges should have one..

Perfect for our work Kitchen
Very roomy & quite. The glass shelves are strong and as it's a work fridge holds 18 x 2lt bottles of milk with ease.
The glass shelves are easy to clean. Width is perfect for large catering platters. This fridge is opened over 100 times a day and temperaure is always maintained.
The freezer section is also roomy. With so many staff members wanting to sotre frozen food there is plenty of room to accomodate.

So far perfect
This fridge so far has given no trouble since purchased.
Other gripes by users is trivial as one has to move along with technology being part of manufacturing in today's world. The door setting has probably come about from stopping young children from getting in and having the door close on them. The crisper to me is a 2 hand job like most fridges are.The fridge temperature took some working out but one needs to remember that it has to go back to zero and start again to lower it. if it is too cold.
I set mine up with a cold thermo so as to ...Read more

Make Sure You Check The Bottom Crisper Tray!
We are reasonably happy with our fridge - the crisper tray at the bottom is extremely hard to push in & out. I don't think it's faulty it's just that we never pulled the tray in & out before buying. Maybe it performs differently when fully loaded, I'm not sure. It also had no light in the freezer section. It isn't common to have a light in the freezer but our last one did so we got used to having one :(

Big Family Refrigerator
In April 2017, I required a new refrigerator. We are a family and needed something big that had enough internal space and freezer space. This is the model that I chose. I am very happy with it. There is lots of space internally and the shelves are deep. There is a bottom section for fresh fruit and vegetables and you can move the divider. There is a side compartment in the fridge that can be locked (for medicine) and also a separate section for cheese and smallgoods and nuts. The freezer is quite roomy too so all in all this is a great re...Read more
frigerator (single door) for a family. The only drawback is that the refrigerator and freezer doors dont close easily. You need to slam them shut or they will remain open. You need to get used to this. There is an alarm noise that goes off if the doors remain open too long, so you will be warned and overall I would recommend it.Similar opinion? Still going strong
My Westinghouse fridges have lasted me for years with minimal services or breakdowns. This one is no different, lasting a kitchen refurb then a interstate move.
Quiet, cheap to run and no stains even with the occasional beetroot spills.
Seals are still in good order and hinges still in tact even after the occasional child swing.

Like it and hate it
Good fridge as in keeping temp and the running cost. However the set out of the shelving and plastic compartments makes the fridge size smaller, the right side door lockable compartment is silly as it doesn't open right up and would easily be broken if used daily. The meat compartment tray is a waste of a shelf and is also flimsy

Great refrigerator with old fashioned quality.
I find the top mount freezer easier to use and the refrigerator works extremely well on Medium Cool, as does the Freezer. Freezer keeps ice-cream just perfect. Recommend as price very good too ...around $1600.

Crisper drawer
The problem with the opening and closing of the crisper drawer is a real pain - is there a fix? Also to NON SELF-CLOSING door is a pain in the backside as well. It is quiet and cools effectively and so far not hard to clean but the above problem is a real bad one. Would NOT recommend the fridge to anyone...

Disappointed
We purchased ours last year had it for less that 12 months and already it has faulted. The freezer section has iced over forcing the fan to stop after i defrosted it the fan started again but every time it comes on it sounds like a lawnmower in the kitchen i can't find out online how to fix it disappointing that i Already have to replace it. Though it is a nice looking fridge and has served is function up until now..i lost all the meat from the freezer once the fan stopped everything stayed to defrost. .with 6 kids having no freezer is not an option

Terrible Customer Service
I had to phone Westinghouse Service Centre PH: 131 349 to ask a very simple question about how to lubricate a sqeeking hinge on the fridge door. I was advised that I would need to have a technician call out which would be a cost of $160- I said I am capable of doing the lubrication myself & I solely need advice on how to locate the hinge to lubricate the door hinge. I was advised by what sounded like a Phillopino woman she would find out & call me back later in the day before 5pm. But there was no call back at all. Terrible customer service the...Read more

Disappointingly, this 2 door Westinghouse WTB5400WA refrigerator would not be the one of choice agai
Purchased just released model as a replacement for an earlier reliable, user friendly and importantly, Australian made 2-door Westinghouse fridge (WTM5200WB). Findings:
Quietly maintains temperatures economically BUT..
**User accessibility needs overlooked
Difficult to open and close doors not self closing
Cleaning unhygienic stippled paint difficult & rust promoting
Freezer-door tray size reduced, 2 Crisper trays combined now
Imported – not Australian.

Does anyone have the parts list for this fridge? I need to order a new crisper plastic as our old one is cracked from the door slamming

The crisper draw keeps falling off the runners lately and now the vegetables at the rear of the crisper keep freezing and we get ice and water build up underneath the crisper, although the temperature in the fridge and freezer seem fine. Any ideas as to how to fix this issue?

I’m sorry, I’ve never had this problem! I don’t know anything about how to fix it, you might have to call the manufacturer?
Sorry I can’t be more help
As I’ve already stated the Westinghouse fridge is a heap of rubbish and in the past they have given me next to no help and don’t even respond we consumer affairs contacted them. The crisper runners are a joke. I contacted Harvey Norman who sent out a technician who shrugged and said it was a design fault but at least it cost them money and if enough people do this they may fix the next model. I haven’t had a freezing problem but the fridge obviously has a fault. Contact the manager where you bought it and demand it is fixed. If they try the ‘ out of warranty’ line consumer affairs state that there is a legitimate and legal obligation for the consumer to expect the product to perform for the expected life of the equipment. I think from memory that was 8 to 10 years for a fridge. Check it out and go get them, be persistent and annoy them frequently until they fix it and don’ forget criticising the shop and Westinghouse on social media. People read those reviews before they buy and they know it. Hope this helps and good luck.
