Purchased one of these in March 2013 and have found that there is a stream of fire that makes a rushing noise coming from what looks like the ignition area of the right hand burner, anybody else have this issue and is it normal?
Cheers

It should only happen when you push the knobs in, is the knob that controls that burner stuck pressed in?

Hi All, I am thinking of buying the Ziggy but having read some negative feedback on how they go in windy conditions does cause me some concerns as it will be positioned on a first floor balcony... Has anyone had similar experiences?

It does struggle with the lid open in wind. Might have to experiment with positioning the vent

mine would constantly go out in the wind even with the lid down, I ended up getting my money back, such a shame because when it worked it was a great BBQ.

I'm on an eighth floor balcony and exposed to the wind & so far have no problems. Positioning is important though as the vent is at the rear of the bbq.

I am having trouble getting the temperature of my ziegler and brown twin grill to go below 200, even with lowest setting and lid open. It seems as if the twin grills are way too hot and I cannot stop them burning, charring my food and flames forming on fat dropping from my meat and all a bit too hot and heavy. What am I doing wrong please?

I am having the same problem, Kev. What is the solution?

Remove the tempreture knob, there is a adjustment screw, turn it till the flame is low, then replace the knob.

Where is correct position for Gas bottle to be placed on the Zeigler Brown with stand? Should it be placed on the base of the BBQ stand or on a concrete base?

Ziegler and Brown is designed in australia for Bbq Galore and made in china.

Johnny

The bbq is actually not designed in Australia it's actually designed in China and made in China. The staff will tell you it's designed in Australia or Europe but it's not true. Insider info ;)

Oni

Def designed in Oz. Made in china like most things....just like my iphone, my tv, my microwave, my designer clothes....so where it's made means nothing, it's how it performs that matters, and my Ziggy rocks!

Just unpacked and cooked the first of many meals on my new "Ziggy". Just wondering what the chain and little rod with a chain are for?

The chain is to chain the gas cylinder to the stand (to meet Aussie standard). The rod is to stick a match in if the gas ignition fails (not sure where to stick the match but that is what is it for). This is also to meet Aussie standard.

We were told by the store assistant who sold us ours that the chain was to attach the bbq to a caravan cos there were many thieves about in caravan parks and bbqs went walking often.!!!!

Staff at bbqs galore will tell you in anything to get you to buy it over a weber
