They just don’t know how to spell ‘Customer Service’

I bought a fridge from these delightful folk and paid for same day delivery. 16 days later, after a couple of trips away, I rang them to ask where the fridge was. They located it and when I asked for my same day delivery charge to be refunded I didn’t hear from them again.

Purchased a tv one week ago online purchase. First email stated short wait 2-3 days, second email stated 10-14 working days it would be ready for pick up in store, third email received today states "could possibly be another 3 weeks or more we are unable to provide a date"
So you are selling stock you don't have 2nds World which isn't legal....
Your customer service is absolutely appalling as are your estimated wait times!!!
Shame on you!!!!!

Lack of service

My simpson front loader washing machine came without plastic caps and an adjustable spanner.
I phoned 2nds World Mentone and spoke to Jason 3 times in 3 weeks asking for the plastic caps as they were supposed to be supplied with the machine and were made to cover the holes left by the transit bolts. Jason gave a variety of excuses, even blaming Electrolux for their delivery times. Finally in frustration I telephoned Electrolux myself on Monday and the plastic inserts were sent out overnight to my home address. I received them on Tuesday afternoon. I will never purchase anything there again.

Absolute terrible customer service, wasn’t notified when goods had arrived, was told 7/10 days pick ... it took 17days. Will never take my business there again.

I ordered an oven online. 2 days later they tell me there is no stock, cant get more, and suggest I buy something else. I asked for a credit which was done promptly. However, the said oven was still showing as available online a month later. The price seemed very cheap - possibly too cheap. I do wonder if they just try to get you in this way to spend more money.

The worst shop ever

We recently bought a dishwasher from 2nds world Cremorne and they took 6 weeks to deliver and they installed the wrong colour dishwasher. They never apologised! I called them so many times and they always say they’ll call back but they never did. Really bad service. I can not trust them. I will never use this shop as this was the worst experience.

Fridge faulty twice in 18months

I bought a fridge freezer s900 in within few months had to have a new door because kept frosting now less than 18mths old the fridge part doesn't work. I was told warranty only for a year!! I cant afford to replace a fridge or pay for repairs after only 18mths. I expected it to last at least 5 plus years. Very upset and disappointed i have brought heaps from there in the past but not anymore when i can pay nearly the same and receive a fair amount of time for warranty. Please check warranty cus you will probably need it.

Since this saeid from seconds world has been very helpful as well as myles. They sent a tech guy out n was same problem as when i bought it. Apparently i just hv to defost.... the frost free freezer n should be good. Fingers crossed

Ordered a large fridge which worked fine. It's now suddenly stopped working after less than 6 months. Rang customer service and advised they aren't responsible for a refund. According to consumer law, they are!

Fridge ordered terrible customer service

Fridge ordered Thursday from the Castlehill store, delivery promised for Saturday.
Unorganized sales staff by the name of [name removed] did not put the order through correctly and although multiply phone calls by me to the store they were not able to resolve the issue for delivery as promised. I had to make all the phone calls to be kept in the loop. Will never by from them again going back to the good guys where they deliver as promised and customer service is outstanding. Worth the extra money.

Purchased an Asko Dryer, and an ext warranty. Dryer never worked well and just got worse, to the point it doesnt work ! tried to claim to repair, to and fro as ext warr with 2nds world not asko, months later, emails calls etc no repair !! Requested a refund from 2nds world, through dept of fair trading ! And they wont respond to them either ! Complete waste of time money and energy ! I have a child with special needs, so as due to his toileting issues and sensory needs, we Need a Dryer that works !!! That’s what i paid for and it’s Not what i have !

We purchased a brand new washing machine, when it was delivered, the box has been removed. So it arrived at our place like a second hand item, and when we called the shop, we’re told that it happens sometimes because with the box it’s too big to fit to our door. Then they should have informed us before they remove the box. It never happened before when we bought other bigger appliances like TV and Refrigerator. Not that we want the box so much, but we’re surprised to see a brand new item came without any box. Imagine buying a brand new mobile phone without the box. We’re one dissatisfied customer.

Unhappy with delivery cost of fridge

BEWARE OF FRIDGE MEASUREMTS !

Despite measuring all areas where fridge had to go through the property the fridge was 1cm too big to get through my front gate.

$99 first delivery & $75 redelivery!

I don't mind paying a delivery fee and a smaller redelivery fee but a total of $176 is maddening!!!

Good price and easy to transact with

I bought a Fisher & Paykel dryer from 2nds World. Easy to buy from and they arranged delivery pretty quickly during the holiday period. Quick in and out on the delivery as well and gave me exactly what they promised.

I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 as they did misbook our delivery, but still got it there the day they promised. Also, the store was a bit dates and cramped- but I also did not expect a luxurious store based on their value proposition. All in all a good experience.

It didn't last 4 years and neither retailer or Fisher and Paykel want to help

Our washing machine has stopped working properly and neither 2nds world nor Fisher and Paykel are prepared to help fix it. Given our last washing machine lasted 11 years, only having had this one for less than 4 years is a huge disappointment. I wont be buying a Fisher and Paykel product again and I will definitely go to another retailer whom I have had better experiences with when dealing with products.

I bought a TV from 2nds World Auburn. In invoice it says 1 year + 2 years bonus warranty. When I call the TV manufacturer company they said 1 year warranty form manufacturer but next 2 years from retailers . Came to know 2nds world do not exist . Can any one suggest me where I can take this issue ? I still have one year warranty? and my TV is not working at all.

2nds World

I purchased a Samsung 470L top mount fridge in September 2017. It was sold to me as a factory second on the basis of minor dints on the side. This is reflected on the code on the receipt. A couple if months ago it started freezing food and linwood in the fridge, even in the lowest setting. I called Samsung servicing who asked me for the serial number. I checked the crushed and found that it had been scratched off. In two places. Samsung told me it was a refurbished model and without the serial number they could not validate the warranty. At no time did 2nds world tell me I was buying a refurbished fridge without a warranty. Obviously I would not have gone ahead with the sale. Samsung could not assist me and referred me to Sydney Appliance Centre who have quoted me between $500 and $600 for repair. I am not going to pay this for a fridge that I am not confident will ever be in good working condition given yhsf it was sold to me as faulty. So 2nds world I have no other option than purchasing a new fridge barely two years after purchasing one that I expected would last me a good few years. I am angry that I was misled and ripped off. And it seems there is no recourse. The 2nds world website does not even have any links on it. I cannot find a customer service number anywhere. So 2nds world, what are you going to do to help me?
