Long term customer of Auburn store and online and never had any issues
My family and I have been buying from 2nds World for at least 15 years and never had issues. I have bought online a couple of times but I find the service really shines when you shop in store at the Auburn store. The staff are very helpful with recommendations and knowledgeable. The times I have ordered online the items arrived as described and quickly.

Delivery never come after 3 weeks.
They don't call back.

Terrible service, they sell 2nd hand or refurbished products like new...
Purchased a "New" Bosch Dryer from them.
Received it in a weird packaging. Suspected it was re-packed...
When opened - saw cracked front glass door.
Was in contact with Service from 2nds World several times - they lie that they booked a service with Bosch.
When I called myself to Bosch - Bosch didn't know anything.
At least Bosch was good to take care of us.
I left several messages for manager of 2nds World to call back - they never did!

Penrith Store management to sales staff- appalling service
We were the only customers in the store, and there were plenty of staff there, but we didn't get any service until we chased them down and begged for help. We wanted a flat screen TV, but the flat screen TV was out of stock, so we paid $500 more for the curved TV. They got the invoice wrong and sold us a flat screen TV at the curved TV price. [nam eremoved] is inept as a manager because he doesn't remember the prices in his own store (he required photographic evidence of the sale prices which thankfully we had) and his staff don't know what's in stock - unless it was a ruse to make us spend $500 extra and wait over a month for it. A worthwhile and very satisfying experience. Excellent service, extremely patient, understanding, helpful and knowledgeable salesperson Steve,and a very pleasant and helpful assistant manager Jason . We bought a fridge, and within a few hours it is in our kitchen. Would highly recommend 2ND WORLD for a genuine and worthwhile shopping experience

Terrible Service Cheating Misleading Advertising, Wrong Product Info and Misleading Warranty
On 13/03/2017 I bought a Westing House electric oven which price label sticker described "24 Months" Warranty. But after I paid full amount and when they issued the invoice cashier said 12 months warranty only and they accused me I am confused with other items. Castle Hill store manager/ in-charge shouted at me and the staffs laughed at me. They all refuse to reissue an invoice with 24 months warranty. Fortunately, my daughter has taken a photo of that item sticker (model number+ 24 months warranty) as an evidence and showed them, they said that 24 months in their price sticker is just a mistake and the photo is useless and said that I can go any where to sue them. The item is still there in the store and not pick up yet. Price and item sticker information changed after full amount paid is definitely a breach of consumer right and fair trading law. tion what your product label sticker provided, 2nds World MUST supply what you described/ advertised and /or promote to sell your product. If not, that is absolutely misleading advertising and misleading warranty period in order to promote selling your products which is a breach of fair trading. Any information regardless of correct or incorrect, that is not customer's fault, supplier is solely responsible for it. Also the store staffs at your 2nds Word Castle Hill Store need to learn how to communicate their customers in professional way, but not like a gangsters threatening to customers. I visited your store three times to solve this out personally, but they all are very rude and irresponsibly ignore my explanation and advise me just go to the court and sue the 2nds World. If you provide wrong information (including product warranty ) on the item info and price sticker, you have to pay for it and must supply the item as per what you advertised according to Fair Trading and Consumer Competitions regulations.Similar opinion? Terrible after sales service
Purchased a portable air conditioner in October 2016. Now March 2017 and I am still waiting for two small replacement parts to be organised. After multiple emails with some initial conversation/correspondence (emailed to both the store manager and general 2nds world enquiry email address) - I am now just ignored. I have opened NSW Fair Trading complaint against them as this is in breach of my consumer rights.

Absolutely terrible delivery service- not worth the hassle. Would not buy from them if I could do it again, any savings you think you're making are wiped in additional effort, I wish I had read the reviews here before purchasing!

Great idea but disappointed in reality
I went into the 2nds world store to buy a fridge and was impressed with their friendly staff. Having bought the fridge, which was brand new, I paid to have it delivered. When it arrived, I was told it had been dropped and it was dented all over. All I was given was 10% back! It's a great idea in principle but I was left disappointed and will avoid next time.

Don't Buy On Line From the 3rd world service
I have been a customer at 2nds world for about 10 years I brought a 9.5kg Simpson Washing Machine no problems I brought a coffee machine no problems and other kitchen appliances with no problems I brought a suppose to be New Samsung 680 Litre fridge on line and i am not happy.

Do Not Place Order With Them Online
I placed an order for a washer and dryer on the 8th Feb. today is the 14th Feb. I have been calling every single day, and the lady managing the order tells me she will call and make sure the technicians give me a call to get the delivery done. EVERY DAY since the 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th and 14th, she keeps telling me they will call but they haven't. I am beyond upset and angry that their customer service is so terrible.
It is bordering on ridiculousness seeing that i am not reimbursed on the calls i have to make to them to chase up on delivery ...Read more

Absolute waste of time, $ & resources
Was after an 8kg washer today from castle hill store. Rang prior to ask if it was instore and available for pick up, was told that it was in store. All good told them we would pick up today and be the in 30mins. We were told -ok we will put a reserve on it for you.
We get there, pay for it and they can't find it. So the guy in the warehouse says : we'll call you when we get one delivered. What an absolute waste of time and money coming to this store- they suck!!!!

Absolutely ridiculous!
I attempted to buy a fridge online as mine had packed in that morning - brought the "Express same delivery" nonsense. Once the order had been processed and the amount paid, I was informed that their truck was "Too Full" and they could not deliver on that day - I can almost walk to the bloody shop from where I live, its that close - They were kind enough to offer full refund, however this takes 2-3 to process - NOT HAPPY!! Thanks seconds world, I will not do business with you again!

Absolute pile of poo
Currently I have a bag of ham sitting in my sink full of cold water trying to survive the Australian summer heat, while 2nds world and Changhong have a pissing match about whether I can get a new fridge because the piece of crap they sent me never worked.! Mediocre online service
Missed a delivery. Two different people processed rescheduling and they told me different info. One said I'd receive my package one day and the other said the following day. So I ended up wasting my time to wait for the delivery that never happened. Beyond disappointment. Avoid at all costs.

We purchased a fridge online and after three weeks of not hearing anything about delivery we enquired about time frame to wait another two weeks until we were told that the fridge we purchased was no longer available as it was a discontinued model. After we were forced to pay extra because we needed a fridge desperately they delivered the fridge to the wrong address and also sent an invoice of another customers details to our email address which included the customers personal details and credit are details. h our transport companies use to verify the receiver of the goods it the person who ordered but we don't print or record full credit card numbers anywhere - none of our staff can as they can't see them. You still shouldn't have been emailed a different order, someone clearly mixed this up. Atrocious
Ordered a brand new air conditioner, arrived missing parts. Stupidly ordered a "Factory Second" diswasher only to find it has been refurbished by a third party, was missing components again, and was still containing water!
Done with them. Not worth the $10 or $20 you might save when their standards have obviously dropped this far.

Another Simpson was delivered a few hours later again with dents on both sides the new delivery man brought it to my attention and said sorry mame so they took away the one that wasn't working and left the other one behind. The first delivery fellow opened the screen but had to extend the thing up the top that controls how the door closes after they left i noticed that it wouldn't work it wouldn't close. This morning I have spoken to the manager at Auburn and informed him of the previous days events he asked what I wanted him to do I replied I would like a new machine and NOT a Simpson he asked what kind said Fisher and Pykle 10 kg my Simpson was 9.5 kg and I would like it as a clean swap he told me I could have it at cost price I declined and said I thought after losing a days pay I thought it appropriate that out of good faith it would be a sincere gesture to have a clean swap.The store manager was abrupt and I am now left to pay an extra $160 for a different washing machine..I really find this unacceptable and of poor service I will never shop at any Seconds World again what a disappointment and inconvenienceSimilar opinion? I purchased a fridge (Mitsubishi - Brand new) in Jan, 17. Cannot say their customer service is fantastic, but don't want to say terrible, either. I was very happy with Sue who helped me to get what I really wanted and worked out very thoroughly. Also was happy with cash register, with her friendly manner. e can be happy to deliver such big and heavy object in hot summer time. To sum up, I want to say, customer service can be own luck and individual. However, because all my main goals were well achieve (buying a decent product with a good price), I want to say "be humble but think how much you can save" I gave 4 stars after comparing a shop with great customer service regardless $$ I should pay. I bought a TV from 2nds World Auburn. In invoice it says 1 year + 2 years bonus warranty. When I call the TV manufacturer company they said 1 year warranty form manufacturer but next 2 years from retailers . Came to know 2nds world do not exist . Can any one suggest me where I can take this issue ? I still have one year warranty? and my TV is not working at all.

I purchased a Samsung 470L top mount fridge in September 2017. It was sold to me as a factory second on the basis of minor dints on the side. This is reflected on the code on the receipt. A couple if months ago it started freezing food and linwood in the fridge, even in the lowest setting. I called Samsung servicing who asked me for the serial number. I checked the crushed and found that it had been scratched off. In two places. Samsung told me it was a refurbished model and without the serial number they could not validate the warranty. At no time did 2nds world tell me I was buying a refurbished fridge without a warranty. Obviously I would not have gone ahead with the sale. Samsung could not assist me and referred me to Sydney Appliance Centre who have quoted me between $500 and $600 for repair. I am not going to pay this for a fridge that I am not confident will ever be in good working condition given yhsf it was sold to me as faulty. So 2nds world I have no other option than purchasing a new fridge barely two years after purchasing one that I expected would last me a good few years. I am angry that I was misled and ripped off. And it seems there is no recourse. The 2nds world website does not even have any links on it. I cannot find a customer service number anywhere. So 2nds world, what are you going to do to help me?
