Big fan!
We desperately needed a new fridge to replace ours that was quickly dying, and I chose 2nds World because they accept ZipMoney. We placed the order on Monday 2/1, and received it five days later in Geelong, VIC. They SMS'd us a two hour timeframe the night before and the courier arrived half an hour into that timeframe. The courier they used was very friendly, and they took away the replacement fridge too (for $11 extra). ompletely smooth. Edit: I've just received my second order from 2nds World and I'm still very happy! I ordered a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine, RRP $249 but marked down to $49 as a factory second. It arrived today (five days after ordering) and the only thing wrong with it is that it's missing the sample coffee pods. Delivery Service
Brought a freezer from 2nds World Auburn store. Paid for delivery left the shop it was in stock to be delivered on Wednesday. Wednesday came got a text saying will be delivery between 7pm and 9pm, who delivers at that time, then we get a text with stock not on truck shop didn't give it to us. So we rang them, they want to deliver it tomorrow when no one will be home, well that is not happening. Three phone calls later they have now come up with a pritive delivery guy. Don't buy from 2nd world they don't know what customer service is.

Delivery and communication appalling
Didn't respond to emails requesting confirmation of delivery.
Manager of online "joe" arrogant and rude wanted to send cheque in the mail when I had paid by cash transfer and they couldn't fulfil sake before Christmas.
Loan fridge provided by Hilton when told of his staff member's behaviour. But when my ordered fridge was delivered, delivery guy rude and intimidating, didn't know about pick up of loan fridge and didn't want to take packaging away.
So much for the "set up" service I paid for.

very poor service
I had several delivery dates confirmed, but they never arrived. I called and finally on the 4th time they showed up and delivered a refrigerator and washer dryer. My builder let them into the house. When I got to the house I found the washer dryer still in its box lying on its side in the middle of the lounge room, the refrigerator was unpacked and plugged in but the large cardboard container was left standing in the middle of the dinning room. Its over Christmas and new year and I can't arrange an installer now for the washer dryer and I can't test if the washer dryer even works. All in all absolutely terrible service. I would not recommend anyone uses them!

Same day delivery even just before Christmas
Our dishwasher broke down on a Friday just before Christmas, timing couldn't be worse. As we are planning to do up our kitchen in the next couple of years we preferred to buy a cheap dishwasher and considering we were busy with Christmas preparations we wanted it to be delivered.

afternoon. I ordered a factory refurbished Beko dishwasher and it was indeed delivered as promised with plenty of e-mails and text messages being sent advising us of the time frame of delivery (I can tell which from experience that's not exactly the norm when ordering items online these days). While the dishwasher is apparently factory refurbished I would hardly be able to tell it apart from a brand new one. There is a minuscule paint chip on the front that you won't notice unless you sit in front of the dishwasher (which I hardly ever do). We ran 2 cycles so far and it works perfectly....... comparing the results of this dishwasher with our old one, the old dishwasher was probably due for a replacement anyway. Absolutely terrible
My experience started with nobody getting back to me after several phone calls (of which half the time, I simply got a busy signal or the phone just hung up) and an email to try work out when I could pick up my order. I finally got onto somebody who said they were waiting for my call so they could create a customer account and I could pick up......ummmm thanks for telling me?

er turning the power on to test our cabling and the TV, a dark purple spot in the corner that looks like impact damage. Weird - no damage to the box, and we only just took it out of the box. Colleague notices the top left corner is peeling and thinks its a plastic covering..nope - the anti-glare layer was pealing...On a brand new product. We are a production services company that handles TVs and transporting them on a daily basis. We know how to handle TVs, we are careful, and mount them very regularly. Never had an issue. Take it back, obviously its difficult to prove this damage wasn't us - so I wasn't expecting much, but maybe an apology and some sort of offer on another one. NOPE - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. After very rudely and loudly blaming me repetitively, a "Samsung expert" comes in, does some fancy keystroke and the TV tells us the running time..."1 hour". Absolutely rubbish, considering we had only just put it on the wall...Maybe the "1" meant 1 minute? As the lady walked away, leaving us with a useless $2,600 TV that we didn't damage, she said quite loudly to the Samsung "expert" - "oh we get these all the time". ATTENTION DO NOT PURCHASE FROM 2ND WORLD (if you do purchase at your own risk) Just over 3 weeks ago I ordered a sunbeam espresso machine. Bought 3 items from store in mentone nearly 4 weeks ago. Still waiting for them to arrive.
When u ring to ask where goods are they palm you of to somewhere else or come up with any excuse,only to find out when you rung again the story has changed. I was charged for aust post to deliver only to find our a courier co. Is meant to be delivering. Ive taken 2 days off work now for a delivery i have to sign for and still nothing.
These items were presants for people who have now gone back home.
Thanks for nothing.

Service and delivery appalling
they booked me in for a two hour delivery frame. heard the truck pull up.. that's it.. didn't ring, didn't knock. took a photo of my front door and apparently that's all that's needed for proof of delivery. I rang three times during the afternoon to find out why it wasn't delivered.. no response no excuse but a redelivery which they were kind enough to say they would not charge me for.. appalling behaviour.. it was too hot and they were too lazy..

Send a message to this company by shopping elsewhere. Poor customer service should never be rewarded.
Purchased a fridge and washing machine online (after viewing the models in store). The website said there would be a slight delay on the washing machine, but the fridge was in stock.
The next communication said that 'actually, the fridge WASN'T in stock" but allow 7 - 10 days for delivery.
When i called to check on the progress, I was promised a return call the next day. It didn't come.
I called back, and found out 'oh - that washing machine was actually discontinued...but we can source a similar model, same brand at no extra cost - weren't you notified?'

I ordered a TV and when they shipped it in for me from their Penrith store the box was ripped and torn. I took it home only to find that it was an X display model that had no screen covering and had finger prints all over the screen. I took it back and they said they will get another from Auburn store and call me, 3 days later no reply, I called they said it's already here for collection so I went there to collect and they brought out the same TV I took back 3 days prior! They tried to say that Auburn store must of sent it back, I said that's rubbish and it never left their shop, what a joke! I have bought heaps of stuff from this shop, never ever again.

A regretable experience
Will not be purchasing from 2nds World again. Waited 18days for delivery of a fridge (advertised to be a short wait) and freezer (in stock).
There was no communication from the company that was not initiated by myself. There was no apology for the delay and misinformation provided - it was implied I would receive the items almost a week earlier. There was no offer to have the product in stock delivered first. And finally, upon delivery, it would appear that an incorrect photograph is listed on the website and I have not received a left hinge...Read more

Best price and value!
I shopped around very hard to find the best price for a tv and 2nds world delivered (no pun intended). I'm sick of retailers saying we'll beat the best price etc...just advertise your best price! 2nds world advertised their best price and hello it turned out it was. The tv we bought was delivered within 3 days and in brand new condition with usual new warranty. The delivery guys were early too...can't complain about that!

Delivery Disaster
Ordered a fridge from 2ndsWorld and I was informed that I would get a phone call 30mins before delivery. I confirmed with staff that I didn't need to answer this call and staff said "no you don't need to answer this is just a courtesy call and they only do it if they get an opportunity." Given that the delivery day came and within the estimated time period I got a missed call. I called my wife who was waiting at home and advised her they'd be there soon. The staff member I spoke to said "it's probably because you didn't answer the phone call?" This came as a shock as I was told I didn't need to and I informed the staff member that I had been told this. I went on to say "what if I tried to call them back?" and He said "they wouldn't answer an unknown number they only answer a 2nds World number." If this wasn't enough of poor customer service I was then informed I would need to pay the delivery fee again and I was transferred to the front desk. I spoke to another staff member and I said "why should I pay for re-delivery when they didn't even attempt delivery?" The staff member said "well the basic reply I have from contract delivery company is saying that no one was home when they attempted delivery." I said "well before we organize a new delivery day and you charge me the fee I'll go home and check my CCTV cameras and confirm that they didn't make any attempt to deliver it." As if by magic the staff members attitude changed and she said "oh um okay well I'll waive the re-delivery fee and we will just deliver it for free." I said "I'll check the cameras and I'll call you back." I subsequently went home and checked the cameras and no surprise there was no truck, no delivery people and no attempt to deliver the fridge. I called 2nds world again and spoke to the same employee and said "I've checked the CCTV footage at home and they didn't attempt to deliver my item whatsoever, I know they're contractors but I wouldn't want them working for my company if they are outright going to lie about trying to deliver an item." The staff member said "yes they are contractors, so did you want to have it delivered on the Thursday?" I said "yes I will have it delivered but the experience I've had almost lost your company a customer and I expect that this be passed on to you delivery contractors as this is unacceptable." The staff member said "okay so we will deliver it Thursday?" She didn't seem to care or take the matter seriously and hung up the phone. I doubt that this will be passed on to the correct people about the delievery companies failings as I would want a reliable contractor for my business especially when it could cost further sales.1 comment

Do not believe their "Quick" delivery tactic, we ordered a fridge from them on Wednesday requesting a delivery by Friday (way within the 2pm cut off for next day delivery). We get a call on Friday saying it won't be delivered till Saturday between the times 9am - 11am. Have dealt with 2nds World Penrith a few times over the years and found them to be helpful and friendly. Keep it up guys :))

Great price on new Freezer. Great Customer Service
Just got our new mini freezer which was the best price in our area for something of similar size.
We dealt with 3 different staff (sales/payment/dispatch) who were all very polite and helpful and they loaded it into our car for us with instructions on how long we needed to wait before turning it on. Easy and pleasant experience.

Dirt Cheap Price for Cheap and Dirty Service
I purchased an electric oven last week without thinking about it as I've been a customer of 2nds world for some time. I am therefore astonished that I have been treated so badly. The oven I chose had a clear sign " instock and ready for dispatch". I ordered based on this, and that the site said it would deliver in 2 business days. I chose the installation service and was ready for a delivery 2 days later. days later, I receive a phone call to say that an installation can be booked in NEXT WEEK! I was told by both customer service representatives that I should have read the website more clearly as somewhere in some document it has apparently said that late delivery is the norm. Well 2nds World, its not the norm if you say immediate dispatch is expected!! it would have been so easy for the customer service rep to find a quick installer to keep me a bit satisfied, but instead he took the easy way out and helped me cancel my order. Never use them
Purchased a new oven to be delivered and installed. Taken over 10 days for the installation people to contact me and then only via a text message to tell me it will be 9 more days before they can do the job. Had called the store to be advised "its out of our hands". I purchased goods and services from them and they clearly can not deliver. Will never use again and suggest no one else every purchases from them.

I bought a TV from 2nds World Auburn. In invoice it says 1 year + 2 years bonus warranty. When I call the TV manufacturer company they said 1 year warranty form manufacturer but next 2 years from retailers . Came to know 2nds world do not exist . Can any one suggest me where I can take this issue ? I still have one year warranty? and my TV is not working at all.

I purchased a Samsung 470L top mount fridge in September 2017. It was sold to me as a factory second on the basis of minor dints on the side. This is reflected on the code on the receipt. A couple if months ago it started freezing food and linwood in the fridge, even in the lowest setting. I called Samsung servicing who asked me for the serial number. I checked the crushed and found that it had been scratched off. In two places. Samsung told me it was a refurbished model and without the serial number they could not validate the warranty. At no time did 2nds world tell me I was buying a refurbished fridge without a warranty. Obviously I would not have gone ahead with the sale. Samsung could not assist me and referred me to Sydney Appliance Centre who have quoted me between $500 and $600 for repair. I am not going to pay this for a fridge that I am not confident will ever be in good working condition given yhsf it was sold to me as faulty. So 2nds world I have no other option than purchasing a new fridge barely two years after purchasing one that I expected would last me a good few years. I am angry that I was misled and ripped off. And it seems there is no recourse. The 2nds world website does not even have any links on it. I cannot find a customer service number anywhere. So 2nds world, what are you going to do to help me?
