Bad service
Young blokes bike had a service including brake replacement, took it back a few months later ( busy leading up to Christmas) only to have the service manager denied it was his problem that the mountain bike despite having little us had dust on the brakes that’s why they don’t work not the the fact they had no oil in the master cylinder

Poor Service
We went to Castle Hill bike store recently. My partner put his bike in for service as he needed is brakes bled a small amount so that he could go riding. Upon entering the store a female worker looking at the bike jammed a flat head screwdriver in the bike and tried to force the caliper open. We unsure if damage occurred at this time. Following this the bike was serviced. My partner was called by the store an they stated the work was complete and to come and pick the bike up - in the phone call no statements were made in regards to replacing/ta...Read more
king off parts of the bike. We went and picked up the bike from the store and noticed that the whole system has been replaced with a lower model Shimano which is worth significantly less than the original parts. my partner has Formula RX brakes on is bike which are worth approximately $280 EACH. The mechanic at the store took off the breaks (caliper, pads, and levers) and he subsequently threw in the bin. This is unacceptable behaviour and is considered stealing by consumer law. The parts on the bike were brand new and in full working order when the bike went in for service. We only requested the brakes be bled, yet he has had his items removed/stolen off the brake and replaced with items that are of significantly less value. The service totaled $145. We contacted the store and they told us they would replace the items thrown in the bin - however this has not occurred.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Misleading 8am workshop open time on 99bikes.com.au
My Merida Scultura 5000E needed a repair. The website said the Castle Hill workshop open at 8am. I came to the shop yesterday at 8:10am, the mechanic said the website is wrong, the workshop open at 9am. That's right I could speak with the mechanic behind the door and he did not open the door.

Stitch up - complementary punctured tubes with brand new bikes
I had such a fantastic experience when I first visited their stores in Bondi and in Castle Hill. Customer service was great and they provided really good advice for a novice rider. However after purchasing two bikes and bringing them home I found both tires on one of the bikes going flat (before our first ride). After a few weeks I took it for the complementary service and asked them to replace the tubes free of charge and the technician went on about how you have to keep pumping up the tires and "hopefully" after awhile you won't have to anymo...Read more
re (does this make sense to anyone?). He made the assumption we went on long rides to better argue his point, which we didn't. I understand they don't cover tubes since punctures aren't their fault if it happens while you're riding but I didn't expect to buy punctured tubes for brand new bikes.
