I have an E0 message on my air con after it was installed what does this mean
An error message which comes up after you turn the unit on. The error message is EO or EA is a board that has gone out. You need to call the number for your warranty and they will send someone out to replace the board... Our message was EA even though it looked like EO...
Nikki - was it the board in the internal head unit or the outer condenser unit?
Who knows what EO flashing means
Flashes once E1
Fault of the indoor temperature sensor set the temperature manually and call for service.
Flashes 6 Times E6
Malfunction of the indoor fan motor call for service.
Flashes twice E2
Fault of the indoor pipe temperature sensor set the temperature manually and call for service.

Thinking it might be receiver module
If so where can I buy one thanks
I have purchased two rev cyc split systems 3.3Kw heating and cooling, one for main bedroom, other a small kitchen/family area. They would both be installed "back to back" with outdoor units on ground behind the brick veneer wall needing concrete pads I guess and minimum distance piping.
I am wanting to know what to expect to pay for installation. Ball park only at this stage - hundreds or thousand plus?
Would appreciate some general guidance thanks.
I paid $700 for installation which included metal brackets and piping to the first floor. We didn't use a concrete hard stand as there already was another air con unit underneath so that the ALDI one was suspended. We got a really good deal then. Some quotes were around the $900 mark. But this installer did a great job and he also installed my son's air con in his bedroom a few years later.
Has anyone had there unit turning on and off constantly not showing any error codes?
Yes ours is doing it How did you get the problem fixed
My home already had the unit installed when I bought it, didn't have proof of purchase to prove it was still under warranty so bought a different unit to install
Mine is starting to do it now. Did you find out what it was?
We bought a sterling air conditioner from Aldi an we do not know how to set the air conditioner to heating. Can you please advise us what is needed to do to make heat come out and then how to set it to cold? Antonietta
Open the battery flap on the control there you will find two small switches. Change it but you will have to take battery out and then replace it. Regards Jeff
Thank you for replying but the unit is mounted (of course) high on the wall. Where is it found--on the left or right hand side of the unit or underneath? We are unsure if there should be a 'special' symbol on the remote which is displayed when it on heat. I do not know where my mother has placed her instruction booklet- sorry.
I keep getting which looks like EA flashing what does this mean the air conditioner will run for a short time then this happens help please cheers Tracey
I have P0 flashing.and also
E9. Both not listed in instructions. Any ideas.
Robert
I have an ER code. I understand that it is some sort of processor fault in the outside unit. Where can I buy this unit? thanks
Need to ring Stirling and they can supply you or your repairer with the part. Yes board error in external unit.
Thank you very much, it has been bothering me for a while.
Hi Angus You don't happen to have a part number or a photo of this unit by any chance as I phoned Tempo and they only have main pcb
Where can i buy a compress for my ac, the units only 2 years old and our ac guy tells me the compressor not workinh
Can someone help me please, I also purchased a 3.3 Reverse Cycle Stirling Air Conditioner from Aldi in January 19 and it is being installed today. Can anyone tell me if theirs has a wire cage around the back and left side if looking at it from the front as this one doesn't and it looks weird. We also have a 2.7 Stirling Rev.Cycle Air cond. & it has this wire cage at the back on on one side.
Thank you Dorett
Sorry I forgot to mention this is for the outdoor unit.
Hi,
Well, seen from the front, your outdoor unit would look roughly like that:
http://www.stirlingappliances.com.au/img/products/reverse-cycle-inverter-split-system-air-conditioner/Air-Con-outdoor-large.png
From the back there is also nothing protruding, as there is some kind if fly-screen around the cooling ribs inside of the confines of the unit (this is correct design - but in the back of the unit only...)
My outdoor unit, however, does no longer look like shown in my link above, since I am an engineer and I corrected already the Stirling-design-shortcomings.
It was obvious to me from day 1, that mud-wasps would move in into the unit through the wide open gaps in the front. Initially I left the unit in it's original design, though (lack of time), only to be proven right: The mud-wasps moved in (which btw. could account for many problems people are having with this unit.).
I designed and installed a 9cm protruding out "cage" made of aluminium fly-screen and made the unit also from the front mud-wasp-tight. Reason for the 9cm protrusion rather than simply spanning the fly-screen plan over it:
I have done a little calculation: I need roughly those 9cm giving me additional "surface" for the air to pass through to make up for the surface area, which is blocked by the wires of the aluminium fly-screen (you have to think 3-dimensional to understand what I am saying).
Cheers, Peter
The mud wasps are my concern also as we have a dam on the property and mud wasps are prevalent here. I understand that a wire cage back and side doesn't keep the wasps out but the unit looks unfinished with being able to see into it from the side especially, the back doesn't really matter as no one sees it, they are not a well thought about design that is for sure. Our 2.7 works well and the outdoor unit certainly looks better than the 3.3.
Thanks for your reply, if you get the opportunity would you send me a photo of what you have done to yours to stop the wasp invasion.
Thanks again Dorett
Hi Dorett,
Yes, I can take pictures of my design-improvement tomorrow. But I don't think, pictures can be attached here.
Also, I am wondering, what your problem actually is - can you sent a picture of your problem?
CHeers, Peter
As it is I just think that the fact birds and the like can perch in the unit as there is nothing stopping them as the unit is open back and side could be an issue. I will take a couple of photos and send them to you tomorrow.
Thanks again. Dorett
Hi, I made pictures for you of my units, but I have not received an email from you yet, thus I cannot reply to send pictures...
When in heating mode, I have a P9 code coming up then the unit blows cold air, any ideas what’s wrong?
Hi guys, I have a 2.3kw in the office. It is one of 4 I have in the house and has been running great up until yesterday. Yesterday about 5-10 mins after turning it on it stopped. LED light was off, fan not going, vents remained opened.
I checked outside and the safety fuse had not tripped.
I turned the isolator off and heard a distinct click in the outdoor unit (the same sound comes from a working unit next to it when I turn off the isolator)
So as best I can figure, there is power to the outside unit but nil inside.
I left it off for 20 mins from the main isolator, then turned it back on nil response (hard reset)
I reset using the button on the right of the front of the inside unit, nil response.
The system is still under warranty but can anyone tell me if I am looking at a PCB problem. I believe diagnostically everything points to the inside unit. Can anyone tell me of anything I may not have done/checked prior to making a service call?
Thanks in advance.
My reply is quite late, but I was thinking only recently that this reply might be a possible answer to many unexplained error codes:
The Stirling units do have a serious design flaw: The openings in the front of the outdoor unit are that huge that mad-wasps just love to move in. Obvious problem: The blades can be obstructed and other issues.
Thus: Check for mud-wasp-nests inside of the outdoor unit and other than that: Design a screen out of aluminium-flysceen, that is protruding out approximately 9cm (to create additional surface to make up for the lost surface of the wires of the flyscreen)...
Cheers, Peter
Thanks, Peter, a sparky mate of mine took a look and found that there is a Bridging cable that runs from the power in buss bar to the internal unit bus bar. This cable has a 15amp 50-degree Celcius fuse which had been tripped. The best reason given was that due to the way the cable had been manufactured or set up by the original company only a third of the wire in the cable was clamped (not soldered) to the fuse creating a hot spot.
Since this has been replaced there have been no further issues and everything is running as it should. Thanks for your help. Cheers
