Best Heater I've Owned
After putting up with a wood fire heater for the past 13 years, We decided to buy a gas log fire heater.
As our house is open planned we needed something with a bit of grunt, to heat the place up, so we opted to buy the IS900 heater. The difference it made to warming the house was unbelievable. We had to install a ceiling fan upstairs to recirculate the heat downstairs, as it was getting a bit too hot upstairs, but that was a minor issue.

House is so warm
Our house is lovely and warm. It doesn't take long for the room to heat up. So cozy having the heater on while watching TV. We did have some issues initially with the heater turning itself on and off unexpectedly but the technician worked out it was an installation issue. The problem has now been rectified . The heater itself was never faulty. Now everything is working perfectly. Very glad we purchased an Archer gas heater.
Purchased in December 2021.

BUYER BEWARE. MINIMAL VISIBLE FLAME WHEN CONNECTED TO NATURAL GAS. MISLEADING ADVERTISING.
If you are purchasing an Archer gas log fire in order to enjoy looking at the flames, this heater is NOT for you. Do not expect it to perform as advertised. 42% of homes in Australia have Natural Gas, however the pictures and videos advertising the Archer fires are using LPG gas which burns differently. This was confirmed by the National Sales Manager.

Sales Manager on 2 separate occasions to arrange for a technician, with zero result. I have read each of the reviews posted on this site and each time a customer raises a negative concern or complaint, the company responds with a standard template or in one of the following ways :- defensive, insulting or arrogant. Very poor business practice. Customers only write negative reviews when there is no other option. My advice to the consumer is spend your 7K elsewhere and save yourself the terrible disappointment. FYI Consumer Affairs in Victoria handle false or misleading representations and target businesses with inadequate complaints handling and unfair business practices.

nd set to the Archer factory recommended settings. However, the poor flame aesthetics continue. As to your suggestion that we "have a representative take a look and get readjusted for natural gas", great idea! We made this request to Archer 12 months ago. Best Heater I've owned
I've previously owned a heater of a different brand and I wasn't happy with there customer service, mainly when they sent one of there service men out I found he was slightly rude and he still didn't fix the problem ( it basically was not starting ), so I decided to get rid of that heater and take on my friends suggestion of buying a Archer gas log heater, I went for the beach fire log set seeing as I live close to the water I just thought it would make sense, they did a wonderful job with the layout my husband and I were very impressed . own a 30 square 2 story house and it's my only form of heating, our bedroom is positioned in the up stairs but we decided to put it on the first floor in the living room after a couple months of owning the heater we decided it would be best to purchase a remote and installed it in our room so we wouldn't have to walk up and down during the night to turn it up or down. We really like the fact that it has an automatic humidification, well what Ouse is there to say we have had no problems with the heater as yet, we get it cleaned about every 2 years to make sure everything is running right, we did have some trouble working out how to use the remote but we called up Archer in Melbourne and they were very nice and detailed in telling us how to get it set upSimilar opinion? Remote complex and not consistent
Disappointed with this model. It does not talk to the remote very well and makes constant beeping noises. This is it looking for the remote which was housed some 3m away. Gave up on remote as back logs were not coming on. Turn it on and off at wall now. Over engineered. Wall solution means it comes on when we need it, no beeping and both sets of logs come on. When it all works it is very good.

emote is manufactured by Skytech in USA and we have thousands out in the field all working fine, the way you describe your operation of turning it off and on at the wall is not a good way to operate the heater and in the future may cause damage to the appliance,the remote should be simple enough to operate as it only has 3 settings on,thermo mode and off,it sounds like you may have a communication problem with the receiver and the signal is being lost,there are other ways to by pass the remote to operate the heater manually or would be great if you could give us a call and give us the opportunity to resolve the issue,we can organise a representative to come out and look at your remote or swap it over and personally show you how to operate it and how to relearn if necessary our phone numbers are 1300 388 953 (03) 9795 8895 We look forward to hearing from you and resolving your remote issue hope this has been of some assistance to you best regards from Tech Support at Aurora climate systems.Aurora A.Aurora

best gas log fire on the market
After purchasing our Aurora gas log fire from Dandenong factory we have had our Aurora gas log fire for 10 years now and it has given us NO TROUBLE just remember to vacuum the lint and dust from the fan and air intake and it performs most efficiently and keeps our large area nice and warm.

Loud fan, 5 star lemon, no ambience
Bought IS900 annoying loud fan. Fan was stuck on medium. No ambience, only front burners going, no logs lit up. Great heat that's it. Manufactures customer service is bad and the woman is so rude. Getting a service agent took months, still the same, hope you go away. Bad experience.

A heater that looks great and actually warms my house backed by a great company
I'm the proud owner of a S900 gas log heater by Archer. Brilliant heater. Does what it's supposed to do very well and very efficiently. Fantastic after sales service as well. Highly recommend. Recently had a problem with a fan that became noisy a little after warranty expired and Archer was happy to fix the problem at no expense to me. Great company to deal with

IS900 Update
NOT So Frustrated anymore!!
The CEO of Archer heaters has been extremely helpful, with this issue. He has personally been here to my home from Victoria, (a fortnight ago). He is quite shocked that this has happened, as it hasn’t happened before in thirty years of making heaters.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause, which are still undeterminable at this stage.

We have a IS 900 wall unit.
The unit been on for 2 hours this afternoon (only had the rear log on) and all the sudden there is a beeping sound. We turned it off immediately via the remote control. However the beeping stays on.

Hi Cecelia i do know that it has something to do with the remote we had the same problem removed the the remote.But be careful after trying to adjust the remote the heater has not burnt on the high or medium since then. Regards Ken

New IS900 installed 2 weeks ago and I’ve got 2 quick questions.
1. The fan to what I think is the flue is loud and quiet high pitched. Is this normal?
2. Both burners did work however only the rear is now working. The front burning tries to ignite (the igniter glows) but won’t start. It’s as if the gas isn’t flowing.
Any ideas on the above?
