Complete waste of time
Bought a battery from these guys, only for it to fail. Was told that battery was ok and alternator in car was faulty, Had an Auto electrican check out car only to be told it was good and battery was faulty. I did this six times at different electricians each time with the same answer battery was fault and each time I went back to store and told them this and they refused to believe me. The last Auto electrican wrote a report stating his findings, and still they refused to accept. I demanded the battery be replaced under warranty and was told no...Read more
t without receipt even thou I had been back to store about the problem more then 10 times. I went home to find the receipt which I did and found a report from their tester attached to it stating that when they orginally tested the battery the tester stated the battery was faulty. They replaced the battery and said they would sent to manufacturer and if it proved not to be faulty I would have to pay for it. That was a month ago, I have gone from getting a flat battery every second day to not have any problems even when car sat unused for three days.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Rip off
Portmaqurie autobarn I brought a kicker sub with amp they charged me 200 to install the subwoofer and 75 for the high low converter. Yet the labour was only 2 hours. No nothing in reply the biggest dogs I've ever dealt with.

Great service and prices on special
Went to Warriewood store to get several parts, in fact had a list.
Counter staff could not have been more helpful or polite.
Filled the list, gave advice on oil and other parts.
And specials made it much cheaper than their main opposition.
Impressed, will return, and it is quite a detour for me.

Bait Advertising Specialists - IMO - once again - Macgregor Store Brisbane
Twice in the last two months I have stopped into this store to buy some advertised oil only to be told we have sold out and have no stock and wont be getting any more. The 1st time was 2 days after a new catalog advertised, and the second was when I stopped in after seeing a sign out the front advertising the same oil, only to be told we are sold out again... I be wont be buying anything from them ever again or wasting my time walking into there store... poor form IMO.

Rude and unapologetic
On school holidays road trip my 2way radio handset failed. Called Toowoomba store and quoted model etc told they had part and i told Mark I was driving from Dalby (1.15hrs) to purchase it. Got there and copped attitude from female staff member after I was jovial on arrival? Told they didn’t have a compatible item and would have to order part in. Explained that I had called ahead and driven 95ks, given a smug look and a shoulder shrug and no apology what so ever. Just rude, how would they like it if I made them pack up camp drive 90ks with a tod...Read more
dler and a wife with laryngitis just be abruptly told they don’t have it.... retailers cant seriously wonder why ppl shop online, bought the part for $20 less online with zero attitude. If I factor in the fuel cost from Dalby/Toowoomba/Dalby I’m in the red so just cut out the middleman and buy online which will make retails give better customer service.Similar opinion? Always Great Service
I thought I should share positive feedback, as people only ever want to seem to complain. I go to the Virginia store when ever I need anything and they always have the best service. Jeff is great. Bought my dash matt for my new truck, couldn't be happier with the advice.

Awful online experience
Click and collect experience. One week for email the order was ready for collection . Expected to bring email, photo id, and credit card for pick up. Then made to fill out their paperwork. Lazy and arrogant crap.

Autobarn selling FAKE products!!
Went to Autobarn Hoppers Crossing on 14/04/19 and bought a K&N oil filter for my EvoX and yesterday 15/04/19 after draining the old oil from the engine, I opened the oil filter's box and noticed straight away that I was different than my old kn filter. Went online and confirmed that the autobarn's oil was the fake one(very popular in ebay amazon butbeasy to identify by the cars enthusiasts community). Today 16/04/19 I visited that shop and the Manager didn't want to listen when I started to explain, he started to laugh instead, calling me "The ...Read more
expert" and saying that he doesn't care what appears online and that its a prob of the supplier, not his and bad luck to me. He only offered me the money back for the filter but he didn't want to refund the money for the expensive Motul oil I bought from Autobarn Epping. I need a new oil because I have to drain my cars oil AGAIN to install the filter I will buy somewhere else of course. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO AUTOBARN. NEVER!! AND I WILL POst this incident in the Evo community groupsSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Wont replace battery or refund cost of same.
I bought a "Super Charge" auto battery from North Geelong Autobarn on 30th of November 2018. About the middle of February 2022 my car would not start. I checked the battery and found the indicator window to be showing red. I tried to charge it with a good quality charger but the charger and the battery got hot. I returned the battery to North Geelong Autobarn. They told me that their policy was that it had to be checked with their own equipment which would take a couple of days. I was upset about this and they offered a "loaner" battery to keep...Read more
my car going. When I returned they said the battery was good and showed green in the indicator window. I wasn't happy about taking this battery back but had no other choice. It worked OK for 6 or 8 weeks and then wouldn't start again. When I returned the battery and said I wanted either a replacement or refund they came up with "it will have to be checked on their own equipment" I told them this had been already done once and I wasn't prepared to go through this rigmarole again and wanted a replacement or refund they refused and repeated the "test on our own equipment" spiel I became upset and left the store. I intend to return with my receipt and try once more for a refund and if they refuse I will explore the small claims tribunal.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic help in an emergency
We were shopping on a Saturday morning and I drove to close to the curb pulling the plastic casing off from under my front bumper. We drove around to get some help and found the Armadale store open. They put the car on the hoist and fixed the problem at no charge. What fantastic service.

Terrible, their installation people are incompetent!! AVOID!!
Bought a dashcam from these guys and paid to have their installer install it professionally (or so I thought). Turns out they have installed it, just done so that nothing can be adjusted and the hardwiring control panel is now unable to be reached. Total amateur hour, and they refuse to have anything to do with it or offer any help. Avoid these guys, and go to your mechanic/car dealer instead, it might cost more, but in the long run, you'll be glad you avoided these guys and their idiocy.

Return policy is crap at Kawana
Your kawana store will not return speaker spacers that do not fit the car.
The staff was rude.
Plus if this is the example of Autobarn when things go wrong, it does not fill me with confidence to continue to shop at you stores.

Broke my car, then told me to "just chill"
Came in to Autobarn Traralgon morning after a recommendation from my partner to have my wiper blades replaced. The female staff member removed the front blades, and then snapped the arm of the back blade whilst removing it.
The arm, being snapped, could not be replaced immediately. When I asked the manager for a written statement that Autobarn had broken a part on my car (as I was not going to drive away without details of what happened) I was told to “just chill”, and only given an apology when I pointed out that I had not received one. In t...Read more

Rude and arrogant manager
I bought my items from Dural and tried to return several things I bought, as my car was stolen. Even though I was within the 14 day return period for anything unused and not special ordered (I bought things from wax, to headlights to brake pads, nothing was used, opened or special order) and the nice young man at the front counter said no problem we can refund everything, as per their policy. He had to go talk to [name removed]. When the friendly young man came back, he said no problem at all, but [name removed] said we will have to charge you ...Read more
$30 per brak pad set, plus $10 shipping (no issue paying the shipping to and from, but 33% restocking fee?) this would mean I paid 200 for the pads and I'd get back 130 (BTW I hadn't picked up the pads yet, they were still at the top AB Dural, so I wasn't even in possession of them yet) But I said OK no worries, I understand as maybe it was a special order or something. So about 10 minutes go by of the young man apologising for [name removed] not coming to the front. (Have a suspicion that [name removed] doesn't allow staff to issue refund et cetera, for the reason Alex Tans review covered and mine as well) when [name removed] finally appeared and said "so you have the police report?" Quite shocked I said yes but it's at home, I wasn't aware I needed it to return the items under your own policy. He kept ranting on about he refused to refund anything, even the stuff that were not brake pads (I could understand the brake pads but they were not a special order or custom). And I said your receipt here on the back says I have 14 days to return anything unused, not custom made. But he still said he wouldn't refund without a police report. I asked him where in the policy is the refund based on certain circumstances. He refused. So I said he could either honour their own policy or I'd call Amex and get them to do a charge back. He didn't seem to get what this was. So I walked away with my goods, even agreeing to keep the brake pads as I could probably sell them on eBay for less of a loss. I sat in the carpark and called Amex, they said no problem, my items met AB return policies and they would charge back the merchant, Autospec. I went in one last time, as it was the right thing to do, instead of keeping the items and getting a refund, I wrote down all the details of the charge back, whom I spoke with and the amount and all other details. I told him he could either explain to his boss why he lost nearly 400 worth of products (brake pads not included) and also the 400 dollars. He mumbled and groaned and reluctantly said OK. The whole time though he was complaining and muttering under his breath. I explained that I wasn't the type of person to keep the money and bascially steal the products, I was raised better than this. Now I cannot speculate what [name removed] problem is or was. But I'd avoid AB Dural at all costs. I will never buy there again until [name removed] is gone. The other staff are friendly and helpful, but [name removed], absolute pain in the backside. And before you think I'm in the wrong, read their return policy. I was even happy to eat the 70 dollars for the brake pads although nowhere it stated I couldn't return them or there was a % restocking fee et cetera. Nothing was open, used, or unsellable. So it met every condition of their own return policy, from online, posted in store and on the receipt itself. So Caveat Emptor if you choose to be a patron of this store. I'd avoid like the plague.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
