Fantastic service and excellent people
We started our consultancy business and selected Bank Australia because it aligned with our values. But what we didn't anticipate was that the service would be so incredible as well. Every person we have encountered has been amazingly helpful and gone above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to succeed. From in person in the branch to email and phone service, every interaction is handled quickly, professionally and with personal care. We couldn't be happier with Bank Australia.

Member for 30 years - Wouldnt give me a loan, no reason given
I have been a member since SEC credit union, have a housing loan with another bank. Bank Australia advertised a better variable rate so I applied to refinance Mortgage. I was employed fulltime, over 6 months with currrent employer and my pay went into Bank Australia account so they could see all my details. After applying they kept asking more and more mundane questions about minor and inconsequencial details.
They eventually didnt approve my loan applicaion and didnt provide any reason. I was disgusted at this treatment and am in the process of moving my account to another Credit Union. And I see im not the only one to receive such poor treatment, as others descibe moving on as well.

Consistent friendly service
I have used bankaustralia for over 40 years, from the early days when it was the SEC Credit Union. The staff has, without exception, always been friendly and very helpful, both over the phone or in a branch. Today was no different. Jacqui, at the Bendigo branch was cheerful and friendly while dealing with an issue that only happens rarely. And then, to complete the service, she rang me to tell me that all had gone smoothly. Breath of fresh air in the banking environment,
Overall we have been with this bank (as MECU), as a secondary service, for about 50 years. We continued the relationship and now appreciating how much better they are than the big four to work with. Our service today refreshed our relationship and finding them so capable, assessing our needs and be age appropriate, was very encouraging for our future banking requirements. Emily was our contact person today and we could not fault her.

Great staff makes a great bank.
I’ve been with this back since it’s inception, and was a customer in its early incarnation.
The bank has always been reliable and the customer service exemplary. The Fitzroy staff have always been very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They are willing to ‘go the extra mile’ if necessary.

Sustainable
Thanks for your help it organising a loan for our electric vehicle. We are able to charge from our home solar panels for most purposes. A great leap forward.

Needed to refinance a loan due to a settlement. Applied one week ago and new loan was funded this morning. Jade Moore, lending consultant has been amazing - responsive, professional, informative, and really lovely to deal with. Bank Australia looked after me when it really mattered
I have been a customer since 2001 (Back when they were Mecu)
I have always found Bank Australia to be helpful.
I recently had an urgent requirement to refinance and while at first it appeared there wasn't much that could be done about my situation, Bank Australia did jump through hoops to help me. I am greatly appreciative of there assistance in my time of need.
I am also proud to be a customer of Bank Australia, who invest responsibly and invest into improving our Environment.

Fantastic service from Danielle Dodd at Canberra branch and saving $500 a month on home loan.
We have just refinanced our loan and it could not have been easier with Danielle gently steering us through the process. She was professional and responsive, and made this annoying process as easy and straightforward as possible. We are delighted to find a bank that has great customer service, better home loan rates (we are saving $500+ a month on mortgage after switching from CBA), and an ethical approach to investing.

Great Personal Service
My Wife and I decided after experiencing the appalling service of the ANZ Bank where their levels of compassion were absolutely 0 we would switch Banks,
We decided on Bank Australia because their values aligned with ours as we have Grandchildren and we are concerned about their Future and the Future of the Planet we leave behind for them to inherit.

l informed of progress and the bank's and statutory agency's requirements for documentation, and was able to relieve me of some of the paperwork that I would normally expect to have to do myself. I was told clearly what to expect at all stages of the process so no communications came as a surprise. She also worked very well with my solicitor, and ensured that everything was in place on the bank's side well in advance of settlement. I give her the highest recommendation, which I extend to Bank Australia whose systems seem to be well-designed to support Danielle to do a great job!1 comment

Hi there, I live in Tasmania, in the capital, Hobart. I am keen to dump being with one of the big four banks because they continue to support the fossil fuel sector. I am also a very strong supporter of there being no live animal exports too. I am really keen to move all my banking (which is really mainly savings and a credit card) to you but am just a little concerned there is no representation in our whole state yet. Have you got any plan to address this? Would your foresee any problems in having me switch all my banking to your organisation when you have no physical presence in the State? ( It would certainly mean any credit card etc would need to always be mailed to me... unless you have established any collaborative sharing arrangements with any other institutions here... Thanks hope you can advise a response. Like anyone these days I have a range of payment arrangements tied to accounts and credit card that would mean I need prompt process enacted to switch over...
