This is a hand vac, with an upmarket stick
Got this as a gift two years ago.
Love the idea of side brushes and reverse folding feature.
However, dust bin design is poor, much poor than a Piranha handstick. In a Piranha handstick, there's a proper filter with corrugated form just like how HEPA filter is presented now a days, however in this Bissell hand vac, it's merely a simple cuplet with very thin non-woven material. Therefore I call it a hand vac.
No will not pay the RRP for this Bissell hands vac, will consider it under sub$50 category.

Merd !
great looking, functional and practical. Battery/charging system, OH dear . I think you owe the people who purchased or in my case received as a gift, an exchange for a comparable unit with out these obvious short comings . Hey its out of warranty, but the chat is that your product is suffering from the same problem battery charging / power storage system . Balls in your court !

Most frustrating stick vac.,ever.
The suction is very very poor .The machine is maintained properly, canister emptied, rollers cleaned regularly.Batteries on high cleaning tiles last approx 15mins./,on carpets about 10 mins.,all up carpet area approx 40sq.,m and similar area tiles. The controls on the handle work intermittently .To get it operating to a usable state takes about 5 min of button poking .No the contacts on the handle and hand held unit are clean. and make contact .This machine is not a reflection on The Good Guy's. About the only complementary thing i can say about it is "pretty" but "pretty" does not equate to a good functional appliance .

Very happy with our purchase
Positives: We bought this vacuum 6 months ago and it's still going strong. We are using it pretty regularly all over the house (hardwood, rugs and tiles) and only rarely get out our standard vacuum any more. Whilst we keep it on the charger stand, we don't leave the charger turned on until it actually runs out of battery, so we are getting pretty good battery life so far (haven't noticed any reduction in battery life at all). I really like the foldable handle to be able to get under our coffee table and beds easily. One of the main reasons we p...Read more
urchased it was to clean up after the kids eg popcorn and crumbs, which it seems to handle easily as long as the vacuum isn't too full. Having the detachable handvac is useful for small pickups too. Negatives: Cleaning the filter and vacuum can be a bit messy, especially if fluff gets stuck in the hand vacuum nozzle. Hair and other long threads can get caught around the roller too which is a bit tricky to clean off. Overall: We are very happy with this machine, and given it had a 2 year warranty which we haven't had to use yet, we feel it was a good choice over the more expensive Dyson so far.Similar opinion?
