bissell proheat x2 revolution cleans very well. Properly cleaning the machine after each use is a
When the Bissell Proheat x2 revolution arrived we cleaned a high traffic area of carpet with it and were most impressed. I rinsed out the dirty water tank and left it to dry upside down overnight.
The next day I shampooed the hallway and at the end of the job I realised with horror that the Bissell had no dirty water in the dirty water tank. I checked the machine and every thing seemed to be in order. I researched on the net and none of the suggestions solved the issue. There seemed to be plenty of suction but nothing was going into t...Read more
he dirty water tank. On reseating the tanks for the 6th time, I realised that the dirty water tank has a vacuum shut off float which operates when the tank is full. It prevents water entering a full tank. I further realised that float was stuck in the high water position. Obviously I had not properly cleaned the sticky carpet dirt residue out of the tank well enough. Further, I had let it dry overnight upside down. The float had dried and stuck in the tank full position. This was the cause of my problem. From my reading of other problems, it is clear that after each use not only should both tanks be properly and carefully cleaned, but that it would be wise to run plain water through the machine's water sprayers. This will clear old carpet shampoo from them, ensuring trouble free operation. There is no doubt that the Bissell pro heat x 2 revolution cleans very well. It is far easier to operate than a Rug Doctor - I like the Rug Doctor, they work well but are heavy and hard to move about. The Bissell has excellent suction and does recover water from the carpet well. I found only a small amount of the Bissell shampoo is needed. I think the recommended amount is way too much really . The action of the excellent brush bars is great, and our carpets look properly clean after using the Bissell. The indications are that when the machine is properly cleaned after each use and once the user has become very familiar with the machine, its performance will be such that rental machines will no longer be required. The Bissell is a domestic machine, not an industrial one like the Rug Doctor. The long term performance of the Bissell will depend very much on the user keeping the critical areas of the machine properly clean and free of sticky residue. It took me four hours to realise I had caused the problem of the stuck float in the dirty water tank. I wont be letting it dry upside down anymore and will be ensuring no gunk or sticky residue remains in the tank or anywhere else. And I will be running clean clear water through the water sprayers - via the clean water tank - at the end of each use. An excellent piece of domestic cleaning equipment, performs very well, it MUST be properly maintained by the user - by cleaning it properly after each use. It is an easy to use machine. Much easier than rental machines. The scrubbing brush system is excellent.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great
Reasonable cleaning quality although seems better without shampoo. Shampoo seems to stay in the carpet even after cleaning.it does have a Small tank though so needs emptying 2-3 times per room. Hoping that after a major clean it will be good to spot clean with. Basic upholstery attachments looking at replacing these.

Works as well as claimed.
I did quite a bit of research before buying a carpet cleaner, the cheaper Bissell models get some bad feedback for the flexible plastic bladder system used for the clean/ dirty water. Some people said if you use other brands of shampoo they can start to melt/ breakdown and it's not covered by the warranty. The Pro Heat 2x Revolution has two solid plastic tanks- so hopefully there should be no issues if other brand shampoos are used. (Noting the warranty does say only to use Bissell products.)
I've only used this cleaner once, but it was on 2...Read more
6yo carpets that were really dirty (two dogs, a young child etc.) I'd cleaned them once before using a commercial hired cleaner, but that would have to be around 7 years ago? The traffic areas were noticeably dirty. I went over the high traffic areas three times and have got to say they look fantastic now- it really did a good job. I could see the dirt being sucked up (with the water) through the clear plastic nozzle. The dirty water tank looked like mud. The machine does go through the clean water/ detergent mix at a fast rate when using the deep clean function. To do our lounge room once would have required around 8 refills/ empties of the tanks- at first it was shocking how quickly the water was being used, but the result was worth it. The carpet was fairly moist/ wet when finished, so it's not something you'd want to try cold/ moist conditions. I gave it two days to dry before replacing furniture. There is an "Express Clean" function that must use less water and is supposed to dry very quickly. Bad points: - the dirty water tank can end up with a thick layer of foam which fills it up quickly and cuts out the suction

Fantastic job, carpets like new
This is a wonderful product. Firstly not having to go get a rental machine and having it there when needed if there is a mess or just when the day is perfect for drying the carpet is a big plus. Can't believe what a wonderful job this machine does. I would make sure you buy Bissell's shampoo, different ones for most stains as I am sure this helps as well and they have a range for everything. Much better than most professional cleaners I have used. I got it on special on TVSN and they had payment plan as well which made it very affordable

Good carpet washer
I always wanted to buy rotating brush strong washer. But the good ones are too expensive in Australia when you compare the similar models in USA. This particular one is not cheap either on full price but luckily I got good discount. ($400 @ eBay)
I am happy with its performance. What a strong brush washing and suction. Turned my carpets like new while my wife was forcing me to replace the carpets.
Only thing is you have to keep changing water in both tanks every 10-15 min. But results are stunning. I don't think professional cleaners could do any better.
Just make sure you vacuum the carpet in detail before washing.
GoodLuck
