Hello, Just a question regarding your panel blinds. Does the 4550mm blind open from the centre or to one end?

Thankyou in advance

Hi Anya, Thanks for your inquiry.

As a standard, our Panel Glide come with dual Wand control which allows the panels to stack either to the left or to the right. However, if you'd like centre opening, you can let us know in the comments field as you're checking out. There is an extra charge of $25 for us to make the required adjustments for centre opening.

I hope this helps,

Kind regards,

Terri.

Our factory resumes production on the 4th of January. Any orders placed before will be manufactured in 10-15 working days from the 4th.

We offer three whites in our 25mm venetian range.
These are, in order of the whitest; Ghost, China White, and Snow White.

Do you do roller blinds to keep out the cold in winter?

1 answer
Blinds Online
Matthew W.Blinds Online

Hi Ray,

Thanks for your question.

We do have blockout roller blinds that will help insulate against the heat and cold (https://www.blindsonline.com.au/roller-blinds/blockout-roller-blind ). However, if you're after something a little more effective, we always say the best way to keep the weather at bay is to stop it before it hits your window. Awnings are great for this, particularly in Summer. Otherwise, curtains are probably the best insulator, and next would be honeycomb blinds (https://www.blindsonline.com.au/honeycomb-blinds ).

I hope this helps,

what is difference between sunscreen and light filter on double blinds?

thanks Alana

1 answer
Blinds Online
Matthew W.Blinds Online

Hey Alana,

Thanks for your question.

The basic difference is that you can see through Sunscreen blinds. They're great for cutting down on glare and UV, while maintaining views. They're kind of like a mesh pattern (but really nice).

Light Filter blinds are often opaque and thin fabrics, so light still can filter though them. You can't see through them (as a general rule), but when they're down, your room wont be completely dark.

I hope this helps,

Kind regards,

Terri

Hi, im not sure how the transition roller works, is that means it consists of 2 blinds with 2 alternate stripe layers ? and as for the light filter transition blinds, it is see through from the outside at night ?

1 answer

Matthew W.Blinds Online

Hi and thanks for your question.

The transition rollers are made from one piece of fabric that's doubled over in a cassette at the top of the blind, so that when it's down, there are two laters that pass by each other as you use the chain. This way the horizontal solid stripes (either Dim Out, or Light Filter) can either line up giving an impression of a striped blind, or they one of the fabrics can be raised so that the strips become a solid piece of fabric.

The light filter fabrics can't be seen through, however, from the outside, a person may see a silhouette. We do have Dim Out which will give more light control, and more privacy.

I hope this helps,

Kind regards,

Terri

I wish to order an external, drop down blind. This would be attached to a steel frame - are your blind fittings suitable to attach to steel? And do they come with clips and fittings at each end at the bottom to hold them in place when they are down? They will be in quite a windy position.
Another question - am I able to order a blind that is 3.8m wide? It looks like your widths are a maximum of 3m. Thanks for your advice, Gail

Matthew W.Blinds Online

Good afternoon Gail,

Thank you for your questions.

Yes, you can fit our outdoor awnings to steel, we only provide screws and rawl plugs for brick installation, so you will need to source your own fittings. All other components are supplied to fit your outdoor awning, this includes the brackets and for straight drop awnings the hold down clips, however, If it is very windy you will need to raise your blind as extreme winds can damage the blind.

Our maximum width is 3000mm due to freight restrictions, we are unable to freight anything over this size.

If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,

Matthew.

Good Afternoon Pez,

Thank you so much for your question.

You can use a timber packer to side fix the pin drive bracket. I would use MDF so you can paint it the same colour as your recess, it will then blend in nicely. Your more than welcome to give us a call when you are fitting and we can talk you through it.

Have a great day.

Hi
We've just knocked out a wall and made our kitchen/lounge open plan with a Scandi/Beach feel (white with timber floors). I'm tossing up between Roman Blinds and Roller Blinds with relation to the practicality of having romans in the kitchen area and keeping them clean, especially as I'd go for a pale colour. What would you suggest?

1 answer
Rosebud4u
Rosebud4u

if your look is for the Scandi/Beach feel. I would go for the fluid, clean flow & simplicity of a Roller Blind, you should go for a blind that is not heavy & let a soft light in, as to keep a sense of space, light & airy feel.
Light filtering blinds with or without a pattern is your go!
Also a lot easier to maintain then romans, which are way to busy & heavy looking for what you want to achieve.
This answer is a bit late though... hope you got the right one's!

Hi, can you advise which blinds would be best for a bedroom? I want to block out as much light as possible as I live on a busy road, and I am hoping for good insulating properties also. Thanks

Good Morning Elizabeth,

Thanks so much for your question.

The best product for light control is Drapes with a Bonded pelmet. I have this at home and there is such a difference in comparison to any other products. If drapes are not your thing. I would advise to use Roman blinds and add 200mm to the width of your face measurement. This will give you the best light control with your Roman blind as the blind will go past the opening and stop as much light escaping through the sides of the blinds.

Ensure you follow our online guides when measuring for the above products and please do not hesitate to contact us on 1300 761 179 if you require any further assistance.

Hello,
I am wondering if I can have more information on your 'transition blinds'? It is for my children's TV room. I am after something that give some privacy, but also lets some light in without the glare? Would these blinds be suitable? I was also considering the 'light filtering' roller blind, or even a double roller blind. Just not sure which would be most suitable, and cost effective? Appreciate your help.

Good Morning Mel,

Thank you so much for your question.

Our Transition blind is a great product, but the best solution to your situation is our Sunscreen blind. The reason's why this will be the best product for your Children's TV room is that It is designed to significantly reduce glare, reduce 95% of UV rays, gives you complete daytime privacy and also saves energy during the summer months.

You could make it a double blind if evening privacy will be an issue or you are looking to have anyone sleep in the room. Otherwise, you can just stick with the Sunscreen.

Please feel free to contact me on 1300 761179 if require any further assistance. I will be happy to help.

Have a lovely day.

Thanks for your question.

It sounds like you're after a "Sunscreen Roller Blinds" You can see through the Sunscreen fabrics during the day, so you maintain your views, while keeping down the glare and UV. However, of a nighttime, if you have your lights on inside, people will be able to see in. So you may want to consider having a "Blockout Roller Blind" as well. You can either get a double bracket that holds both blinds, or you can put the sunscreen within the recess of your window, and the Blockout blind on the architraves. Whichever works best for you.

You can see our sunscreen fabrics here: https://www.blindsonline.com.au/roller-blinds/sunscreen-roller-blind

I hope this helps.

Hello,
I am trying to decide whether to order double roller (block-out/sunscreen) blinds, or a honeycomb blind for my sons computer/games room? Or maybe I should just go with a single blind? It is important that we cut out any glare, but don't necessarily need full blockout. Do you have any suggestions? I have never seen the honeycomb blinds other than in photos, so I'm just not sure.
Thanks,

Hi Mel

Thank you for your inquiry

If you are recessing your blinds you will get get less light gap installing a Honeycomb blind compared to a Roller blind. This is also one of the best blinds for insulation.

Hello

Loving venetians I ordered from you last year, thank you! I am now going through options to filter sunlight through two north facing rooms. If we install the sunscreen rollers, will the warmth be reduced? We are in Hobart and really love the warmth coming in but our artworks and furnishings are a big concern for me.

Also, if I order some samples are they large enough to see how visibility is affected through the windows?

Many thanks!
Christine.

Matthew W.Blinds Online

Good Morning Christina,

Thank you so much for your question.

Our sunscreens are designed to reduce heat and give you daytime privacy. The main aspect that would work well for you is that they are designed to stop fading of furniture. Also, glare is reduced significantly.

Our samples are 90mm x 200mm approximately which will give you an indication of visibility, but just note that the darker you go the easier it is to see through, however, the lighter you go more of the light will be reflected.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Hi just ordered some samples so we can go ahead with our order but wondering if the panel blinds can be fitted to draw either to the right or to the left and how far does the fitting sit out from the wall/window frame. Do the panels sit close together or are there gaps? Thank you awaiting your answer, maybe you could email answer on [email removed] :-) Regards Di

1 answer
Blinds Online
Matthew W.Blinds Online

Good Afternoon Di,

Thank you for your question.

Our panel glide system has a wand on the far left and right panels. So it can be used to go left to right and vise versa.

The panel glide bracket is adjustable, so you can get the 1650mm track nice and close to face of your window or door. The 3300mm track protrudes out 82mm. The panels overlap each other by approximately 50mm so that there is better light control.

This is a fantastic product for a door and really easy to install.

Feel free to contact us on 1300 761179 if you require any further assistance.

Have a lovely day.

Kind Regards,

Matt
