I am a new customer switched over last Sunday March 29th, still have no connection, can't make any calls or receive calls. Have been on livechat they just tell me it's coz of the virus.I have emailed them they said they will respond within 5 days or I can contact customer support, but I can't ring anyone. I am using pocket
Wifi to write this as its my only communication. Should not have to wait four days. Would I be able to get a refund so I can look else where?

I finally got my service activated yesterday after requesting activation on Saturday 28 March. I ended up going through the Telstra call centre. I explained my situation and the telstra employee was able to directly transfer me through to a Boost rep and they activated it over the phone. If you can use someone else's phone to call Telstra that will be your best chance of resolving the problem.

Cheers...honestly I'm tired of the whole rigmarole, they should be working from home if the corona virus was a concern, sick of their excuses, extremely poor data speed, they dont even have the decency to repond to existing customers concerns, instead they duplicate every response,to me that explains what kind of company they are and their carefactor..I've got the s8 note so it's a good phone,no reason for crap data speed you were lucky too have jagged the Telstra rep.i wish you all the best!!!

Thank you for your query.

As long as you are using the app in 2 different devices then that should work.

I bought a boost $150 mobile card at Officeworks, I went through the porting and my mobile was cut off. I got an email said that my number was issued successfully but my sim said it was no soon. I changed from my Motorola to an iPhone as their customer service request but it still said no sim. I reboot it twice still said no sim. Not sure what is happening but this is a number I have used for 18 years I hope I can reach someone tomorrow

does the 28 day expiry on plans mean there are 14 payments per year?

Boost M.Boost Mobile

Hi Terry,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your query.

It means that on every 28th days of your credits you need to recharge it

Also, we recommend auto-recharge. With auto-recharge, your phone will automatically recharge on expiry so you don’t need to worry about recharging!

HOW TO SET UP:
1. Recharge using a credit/debit card on the Boost App. When recharging, select save card details.
Google_app_store_op Apple_app_store_OP
2. When your recharge is complete, select “Auto Recharge” in the Boost App.
3. Follow the prompts to complete your auto-recharge setup.
4. You’re all set. Your phone will automatically recharge on expiry.
Hope this helps.

Thank you,

So, that means 28 days by 12 months is 336 days which leaves 29 days in a 365 day year, so there are 13 charges in a year. Can you confirm this either way, please ?

Hi Terry,

Yes, that is correct.

Why do companies like Boost ask customers for their details before live chat starts and then live chat staff ask for the same information, even those the details would be in front of them? Also why do companies ask customers to fill out surveys when they know nothing well be done especially to improve poor customer service?

If you answer them, you are not the one asking the questions.... psychologically they have an upper hand from the start

Hi KV,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We intend to provide an efficient customer service experience that is why we are requiring the information to be available while waiting to be connected to the live chat support. Once connected to the agent, there are cases that the provided information isn't matching the records because it is possible that a different user is accessing it so we need to further verify it. Please know that this is mainly for your account security and record tracking.

We greatly value your feedback and rest assured it will be considered for further developments.

If you have further concerns, please email us at [email protected]

Thank you,

If you must know what information I provided is in fact matching the information. It is just agents are trained to come out with the same questions like what is the customer details even those the correct information is in front of them. But why do agents say they well send out a code when it doesn't happen, why does agents promise something we'll happen when it doesn't happen like someone well ring me when no one does etc etc?

Well, I did buy one in my name successfully. Then tried to buy another in my wife's name using her credit card but was refused - "...could not verify card details..." error message. Spoke to "support" but it's Telstra so got the usual run around response and "promises" to get back to me when they have an answer (based on past experiences with Telstra and reviews here I don't hold out much hope). Will try under my name again.

Just tried under my name again... same error. "We are sorry, but your card could not be verified...." unbelievable!

Hi - can you tether with this mobile service? I have seen some carriers/sims do not allow tethering.

1 answer
Boost Mobile
Boost M.Boost Mobile

Hi Kelli,

We're often asked questions around tethering your mobile handset whilst using a Boost Mobile service so I thought I'd share some key points with you.

Tethering or Hotspotting is when you use your mobile phone to supply an internet source to another device either over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or cable. This is a feature of most new smartphones and isn't controlled by Boost Mobile.

When using this feature, any internet usage used by the device you have connected to your mobile handset will be deducted from your current inclusions (either from your latest UNLTD recharge or Add On credit).

There is no additional cost for this feature.

If you're having difficulties using this service, please ensure that you do have adequate data usage as well as trying these simple troubleshooting steps. If that still doesn't work, please call Boost Mobile on 1258881 or use live chat service.

Hi all. I've had boost for around 2years, with no issues, but it's only after the last 8 months that I have been having trouble. I can't access internet when in shopping centres, in different suburbs or even in my own back yard sometimes . Anyone with the same issues? Also, when connected to bluetooth in the car, the phone call drops out every time and is very static when I do get a chance to talk.

Have you tried updating your phone to the latest software of performing a network reset?

Yes, I have lastest software, but not sure what you mean about network reset. Thanks for replying.

KelliK
KelliK

Hi there, I have the same problem (different carrier though). When in shopping centers I can't connect properly. This is due to the free wireless and sometimes multiple free connections at the shopping center (which I don't join as is generally crap and requires you to sign up, getting more unsolicited emails, ugh!), so to get around this I switch off my phone's wireless signal **Note: it is common for your phone to default to wireless signals first, then secondly to your mobile data from your carrier** this setting interferes with the phone's as it is constantly interrupted with the wireless signal from the shopping center. So, switching over to just mobile data should resolve the problem:) Nothing to do with software/upgrades. Hope this helps!

Boost mobile itself is using Telstra network, so signal is good. And if you are talking about that 150$ 12month prepaid one, I recommend it. There were some system glitches when I ported my number in but I believe it won't happy to everyone. Just give enough patience and don't throw your old number before new card gets activated.

i assume you use your credit card to organise it, I pay for voucher and get reminder of when it is due. So with the credit card as my thought on how it would work Graeme is they would automatically charge to your card.
