They hold my account without my consent
I've been with Jeenee for 3 years no drama at all. I suddenly received a bill from Vaya thought it was a scam as there was no intro to say they have obtained my account from Jeenee without my consent.
I ignored it and my service was cut of, i tried calling based on their email but no one on the other end .
Emailed them and sorted things out service back.
Yesterday i received my account of $ 29.50 Today i received an email to say its overdue service will be suspended and collection notice will be sent if not paid .Ive tried to get into my accoun...Read more
t with a password provided by them but cannot get an account number or bpay detail to make payment . ITS JUST A DAY AFTER RECEIVING MY NEW BILL. I have requested them to send me their Bpay or acc number so i may transfer the money and have the service cancelled. Legally i don't owe them anything as i have not requested them to provide me a service Nor has Jeenee informed me that they are transferring my Phone service. I am now awaiting a call back from the Telecom ombudsman. As there is something not right here.

Shocking service
Vaya took over my Jeenee account, without my consent. I never had a problem with Jeenee. Now, because Vaya was unable to draw from my bank account (as Jeenee was able to), they had the wrong contact details and they have overcharged me for data overrun (by removing a stop I had in place with Jeenee), they have suspended my service. I tried to reach them by phone but no one in their Phillipine call service answers the phone. I have sent emails with sporadic responses. This is a disgrace and its outrageous that the telecommunications regulator allows the transfer of accounts, without consent, and without abiding by the terms of the contract. Stay away

Fantastic Service (on their mobile plans, never use their ADSL)
I have had a mobile plan with vaya for many years now. Not only are they low cost, but their service has been fantastic. Coverage is good, and the few times that I have had an issue they have been extremely helpful and have resolved the issue in a reasonable amount of time.
*Note: The above relates to my experience with their MOBILE PHONE service. In the past I have also had a vaya ADSL service (no longer available), and that was like dealing with a completely different company, IT WAS TERRIBLE! It would drop out all of the time, billing...Read more
was incorrect, faults would not get fixed for a very long time. When the service was cancelled (by Vaya) they informed me that they had been under charging me for the past 2 years (which was true) and as a result my account was in debt by several hundred dollars, which I had to pay back. I was not happy seeing as my account was set up for auto-pay, and the auto-pay amount was controlled by Vaya.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Plans, Great Benefits, Great Service!
Our Telstra home internet went down for over a week for some reason (not happy), and I can only say Thank you Vaya!!! Without you guys giving me unlimited data for the month of April we wouldn't have any online connection at all! I used my phone as a hotspot for the whole house and everyone was able to use it without issue, honestly almost better than the NBN I reckon! What a brilliant service!

Seriously lacking in features
I was automatically transferred from Jeenee.
The new service does not have the ability to prevent excess data use or to view an itemised list of data use.
No phone support only hopeless scripted online chat.
I will be cancelling before they start gouging my wallet with excess usage fees.

Perfect
I can’t say anything bad about vaya. My phone coverage has been going great and the support has been fantastic. The internet speed has been fine. It would be great if the unlimited data continued.

Unlimited data has slowed everything down unreasonably
The network coverage has slowed unbelievably since Vaya decided to unilaterally introduce unlimited data during the Covid-19 crisis. I really would much rather have my old access speeds back and less data! It's very frustrating. Being a low-budget, off-shore operation they don't have anyway of reaching them except via the online form on their website. So you can complain but nobody responds. The services used to be great if you want a simple plan with no fuss. As soon as there's a problem there's no effective way to communicate with someone to fix it.

Amazing
Vaya sim plans are not only cheap but they have great Optus 4g coverage in Australia.
Customer service has greatly improved throughout the years and giving unlimited data at a time like this is so deeply appreciated.

Questions & Answers
Calvin W.asked
I had a jeenee account with 3 phones. 2 of those phones were not allowed excess data charges. I didn't ask to be changed to vaya and i certainly did not turn this feature back on. So these excess charges should not be turned back on for these 2 phones. $22 for 18gb i don't want to pay 1 cent more than that... Can we get a work around for this, or do i need to contact the ombudsman to sort this out. And don't say $40 per gb over if i turn it off.... Don't let my data go over, is it that hard to do

Does Vaya allow forwarding SMS to email? When I go overseas I would sometimes need to do online banking, and certain transactions need to be confirmed by code sent via SMS. I understand that roaming is no longer available to new customers, so if it can forward SMS to email I don't see any issues with switching to Vaya.

I forward work SMS to my work email regularly. I dont know if this works overseas, but it works for me in Brisbane.
Thanks for the reply. Can you receive the SMS in your email when you have your phone switched off? If you can't then it must have been forwarded by the phone, not the carrier. So it won't work overseas...
