My Bosch athlet just wont take any charge and so wont go. its perhaps 3 years old and still in near perfect order. I only use it once or twice weekly so am surprised if the battery has died. Can you tell me please if can buy a replacement battery for this or do i have to throw it away? Its been such a good appliance i am hoping its not met its end. Thanks for your time

I have the Bosch Athlet vacuum and it works great however it will no longer pick up fluff on my carpet which is frustrating as it leaves the floor looking messy. It picks up anything else. Is there a different brush head attachment?

Bosch H.Bosch Home Appliances

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch vacuum.
There are no different heads for this appliance. The only thing we can suggest is to make sure the floor tool has been cleaned correctly including removing the brush and cutting away any hair. Cleaning the outer filter unit and the filter cartridge are both cleaned, using dry or wet cloths as recommended in your user manual.

Bosch Athlet

I have the Bosch Athlete. It works fine except for one annoying aspect. The front of the head is a bit too low. For example, if I attempt to vacuum up something like a corn flake, the vacuum just pushes it, the flake will not fit under the head. Can the head be raised a small amount?
Thanks.

Bosch Athlet

My BoschAtlet was purchsed on 24November 2017. Have not had any problems with it until today. Vacummed for 8 mins or so...we have been away for 24 hours so it should have been fully charged. Put it back on charge after the 8 mins or so and nothing happening at all. Hubby reading the instruction manual and it would appear it needs a battery....as I said it was purchased in November 2017 just under 2 years....what do we do now...do we take it back to The Good Guys and is it worthwhile financially to buy a battery....it would appear to me at this stage the life of the product is probably up which I find very surprising as we live in a small retirement village and it does not have a large area to vacuum and it does not get large workouts at all. 20 mins would the most I have ever vaccumed in one go...usually I do small areas at a time around 10 mins. Where do we go from here? Back to the retailers???

HI. The vacuum cleaner has a 2 year warranty. Take it back to Good Guys and you should be able to get a refund as they enter it into a system and it tells you what they can do for you. You have to stand your ground though and if your not satisfied ask for the store manager (not department manager). The battery - even when new - only lasts about 20mins when its on high. Mine broke at the handle and they kept saying it was customer abuse. After they entered it into the system it was ok for a refund (even though one of the workers still insisted it was abuse and said to give me an exchange). I stood my ground and received a full refund.

ty SchemSchem for that information. Prior to reading what you said I had phoned Bosch and a very pleasant gentlaman named Tom answered and immediately said it was the charger. After giving him all the relevant information re the product he is posting out a new charger and should have in a week. If this does not do the trick I will be taking back to The Good Guys for a refund. I have found

the stick vacuum very good up until this happened. Even though there is a two year warranty always remember there is the "implied" warranty on a product and I have used this in the past. I think a product such as this should last a number of years...not two.
Thank you again for taking the time to respond :)

update: Bosch have sent me a replacement charger....received today...excellent service Bosch :) Have put the charger on and everything is working fine...fingers crossed that I get some more years out of the vacuum as I have been very pleased with it up to date

I originally sent a query regarding the battery. You requested copies of reciepts which I sent. No further action on your part. Someone suggested you would send a new charger. Didn't get one. Now the switch wont move to turbo. Is this the best I can expect?

Hi Sonya,
