Can you please confirm whether or not this series can be used as an under the bench dishwasher. The dimension is just right for my kitchen under the bench but not sure whether I need to buy a separate under the bench model, or this model could be used. Please confirm. Thanks for your help!

I recently bought a SMS46GW01A (white). My previous dishwasher was connected onto hot water (set at~ 50 degrees celcius). I was wondering whether it is ok to connect this to the hot water or else I will need to re-plumb the hot/cold water outlets. Are there any issues in connecting this dishwasher to the hot water?

Hi Henryryry, Thanks for your question. If you are wanting to connect to a hot water supply, it's recommended to have the incoming water temperature set to at least 40 °C and no more than 60 °C. Hi, I purchased my dishwasher in 2013 and it’s been fine until recently where the machine will constantly stop mid cycle until you push against the door and then it starts again. This had only been happening once or twice during a cycle but now it’s nearly every few minutes. I’m thinking it’s a faulty door sensor and the machine is thinking that the door isn’t latching properly but it is, there’s no leaking.

My dishwasher is about 5 years old now and a few months ago it started not switching on unless I slam the door shut quite hard and press power. It seems to take a few turns at shutting the door hard before it will power on. There is nothing blocking the door and it is being shut properly. Could it be a sensor or wiring issue?

We'd recommend making sure that the gap between the top of the door and the lid are the same distance on each side. Just bought the sms46gw01a, our previous washer was connected to the hot water, I thought this one would be too but it doesn’t have the A00/A01 setting so I’m guessing it doesn’t. Am I still able to use hotwater or do I need to replumb?

Hi Trevor, we had it fitted by the installer from Appliances Online so I didn't do this myself. From memory, it only uses the cold water so I assume it heats the water up within the machine itself.

Had the machine about 5 years. Having a problem that it does not release the detergent on full wash only on quick wash. We have had this problem for awhile now, had a repair agent but he could find no problem & cost us $500 NZ.
Don't want to buy a new one as it is a good machine & can't really afford a new one. Any help?

Occasionally mine doesn't dispense the tablet properly and there's some residue. Have you tried both tablets and liquid? When my last dishwasher had the same problem I would just sit the tablet in the top rack somewhere and it seemed to work. I'd be questioning the amount you paid to have it seen, that sounds crazy high, especially considering there were not parts and no solution. Good luck.
