What a wonderful machine. With 4 young children a dryer is part of our everyday life. This dryer is the quietest and most efficient dryer we have had. More settings than necessary in my opinion but that is ok. Choosing between hang up dry or iron dry is a big deal for us also and a feature we love.

I purchased this dryer 2 months ago. I was very hesitant about getting a heat pump dryer as I had read so many negative reviews but got it as a match to the series 8 Bosch front loader. Positives: It has a great capacity at 9kg. The heat pump system is great and my laundry walls are never damp. I like that there is an internal light when opening and at the end of the cycle and the LED display is bright and easy to use. Clothing types that would have shrunk in my old vented dryer are able to be put into this dryer without a problem which is a...
Read more huge plus on a rainy day. This dryer does dry clothes but not to the crispy level a vented dryer does and as a negative, I have found the only cycle that drys well is the cotton cycle with fine adjustment at maximum ( 3 suns). The 20 min warm set time cycle is good for drying off damp clothes from the line, but sometimes I have to run it twice or more to get them completely dry. So, overall I like this dryer, but not all of the cycles really work to dry completely.Hi Rob,

The dryer is very easy to use and has a massive drum and will dry clothes very quickly. It has an auto sensor that turns off when the clothes are dry. The excess water can either be emptied from the drawer very easily or it can be plumbed into existing drain pipe.

I purchased one of these 15 July 2017, and it is displaying similar problems already mentioned in other variants of this dryer - e.g. it never completely dried the clothes, always had to finish each load off with a 20 minute warm program or run the risk of damp clothes going moldy in the cupboard.
Similarly as other reviews, our machine has started to stop after a short time into a program with the water tank symbol error and wet clothes. This happens 7 min exactly each time on the "Timed program warm" (20min or more). We have the drain pip...
Read moree clear and running to the sink, empty and clean the condenser tank and filter regularly, happens ever time - useless. Additionally any of the programmed settings e.g. "Super Quick 40’", starts at 40min, then at 37min it drops to 1min and then stops. Same for the "Shirts" setting - exactly 3min in to the program it drops to 1min and then stops. Not good for a purportedly quality product. Now to find the "Need to repair" setting on the dial.

The dryer is really good looking and works well if you keep your loads separated into like items. The only downfall - and it's a huge one from our perspective - is the way the condensed water is managed. Your two options are to empty the reservoir every load or so (it's often actually required during a load, and the dryer stops until you've done it, so if you're not there to attend to it immediately you're washing is not going to get dried for a long time, and not without hassle). That obviously sounds annoying, so we wanted to go with the seco...
Read morend option - plumb it in. We have an inlet in our under-sink laundry plumbing which the tube fits right into, so we thought that would be easy and ideal. It would have been - if it had worked. Unfortunately it doesn't. Apparently you need to run the tube up vertically between 80-100cm from the outlet in the back of the dryer, and then down again into the drain/outlet to get a siphon effect (or raise the dryer up so that the drainage tube runs down with gravity). For whatever reason there are three different manuals for this exact model (the one that came with the dryer and two others found on the internet) - unfortunately the one that came with the dryer was the least informative, so several hours have been wasted on this, to no avail. We've had to piece together the solution (we haven't got it to work yet, so we could still be wrong) from the three manuals, and the Bosch customer service line was absolutely no help. Way too much faffing around for a $1500 appliance which should just work. Would absolutely not buy this dryer if we had known the plumbing in would be such a hassle (it was always our intent to plumb it in as the alternative option of manually emptying the tray repeatedly sounded way too irritating). Cannot understand how other people have gotten this to work so effortlessly, as it defies logic (why is there no PUMP for the waste water?) and is definitely not an easy-install.- 11 reviews

My old dryer was a fisher paykel sensor, had its day . I was nervous buying a new dryer but decided on this one because I didn't want the moisture and heat the old ones release, at first I thought I made a huge mistake but soon learnt to use it, dries all the clothes perfectly takes a little longer than regular dryers, only by about 15 mins or so . Can basically dry anything with out clothes shrinking as long as I have the correct setting . Only a small issue is that the sheets do seem to bundle because it doesn't reverse spin, I just adjus...

The weather in Melbourne winter is so terrible, so I bought one.
I did check the reviews before buying it. Someone said it did not dry enough, but for me, I feel it is just OK.
Very enjoy using it
The only thing makes it lose one star is the small water container. If it is fully loaded, you will have to pull out water at least once for every job.

I bought this after being offered a 3rd Samsung heatpump condenser dryer. I am so pleased I got my money back and got the Bosch one instead. I have not done a load of sheets yet but it has done a great job of every load, big and small so far. No moisture and very cool to the touch. Quiet too. And I love not having to clean the condenser unit.

I was hesitant about getting a heat pump dryer but have had no issues with this. Sometimes I didn’t load it properly and mixed linen in with regular clothes and found out the hard way that doesn’t work. Much better than the washer/dryer we were previously using. Gonna try a shoe drying basket next and see how it goes.

Had read very negative reviews on Heat Pump Dryers but took the plunge and it is great. May take about 10% longer to dry but has a time setting if you are not happy with dryness. Ours is plumbed in so nothing to empty and self-cleaning filter. Haven't had electricity bill yet but it is supposed to be very energy efficient. Easy to operate.

We had been so impressed with our Bosch Washing Machine that we decided to match it with the dryer.
And it has not disappointed.
Took a little while to get used to the settings, as my clothes were coming out a bit damp. Read the manual and adjusted the settings to more dry and it has been fabulous. I like the option to pull out slightly damp for ironing purposes.
So good to be able to walk into laundry and it not be all steamed up. Amazing how much water we drain after a load. We will plumb it in due course but so easy to empty the dispenser.
And the filter picks up so much dust, dirt and animal hair - so impressed.
Only a couple of months old so am sure I will discover more settings to make laundry even easier.

We liked the equivalent Bosch washing machine so much (see other review) that we bought the matching drier too, Bosch WTW87565AU. Pros: gets the job done with bonus of removing any musky odours you get from clothes that stayed wet for too long; very quiet; uses hardly any power. Cons: Took a while to figure out the best cycle to use (i.e., “Timed Program”) to merely finish off clothes that didn’t fully dry on the clothes line; captures a huge amount of lint (need dispose of at end of cycle); machine bit expensive to buy. Overall would buy this machine again from Appliance Central (they are good).

Do NOT buy this useless piece of metal unless you are happy about hanging your items on a clothesline to finish drying them. This dryer leaves everything very damp, requiring overnight airing to get them dry. Salesman told me it was the best of the top of the range. Wrong. This dryer is not fit for purpose and should be recalled. Good Guys rang Bosch who said that dampness at cycle end was normal. Nowhere in the information does it say that this dryer only 3/4 dries items, no matter how many hours you try to dry them for. Useless in any situation.

Having used condenser dryers for over 25 years this has to be one of the best!
Until now I have used a Bosch and Miele (in Germany 25 years ago), a Bauknecht (also in Germany), then the Bauknecht came to Australia, died about 3 years ago and was replaced with a Fisher & Paykel; this was the greatest piece of junk ever and was replaced (under extended warranty) with this amazing heat pump dryer from Bosch.
The people who have problems with it are maybe not using the correct settings. There's a myriad of them, but if you make sure that you sel...

The WTW87565 heat pump dryer does a pretty good job drying, but personally feel it has too many settings for too many 'programs' that as programmed don't work effectively.
We have tried several of these, but in the end the only program drying properly (which for us means taking them out of dryer, dumping on bed and sorting/folding before being put away) is the Cottons program - with x2 'suns'.
Bosch could do better by:
1) Eliminating or reducing the heat pump ticking noise (anyone telling you it is silent is deaf...it makes noise, and arou...

We bought this a month ago and we’re very happy with the performance and functions. Has a slight learning curve, so takes some trial and error.
Slightly slower at drying than my old vented dryer, but this one is twice the capacity so not an issue.
Overall im extremely happy with the purchase.

After owning a couple of dryers, the only difference with this one is that it condenses. Which means you don't have to leave the windows or doors in the laundry open (*security).
The power bill is way less so you feel less guilty operating it. But you still need to empty the water tray (there's hardly any) and you still have to clean the double lint catchment.
The double lint catchment is good but still needs to design it so its easier to clean out the main catchment department.

The past few years I've been using the top of the range Miele Washer and Heat Pump Dryer and I'm living somewhere else now.
I bought this dryer when moving in and aside from the steaming feature, it has all the features, it not some extras, over the Miele.
The 7 Star Energy Rating is incredible, it dries incredibly fast and you can set how dry you want your load to be. I like for the load to be just a little bit damp, not bone dry like you get with Vented Dryers.
I have the dryer and the washer stacked and they look incredible together! Beautiful design.
The machine is also very gentle and it looks fantastic and the large display is great for those with poor vision.

Bought this expensive dryer to replace an older cheaper one. Dries clothes fantastically however bedsheets or towels are a nightmare to dry. The drum only spins clockwise so bedhseets roll up into tight balls and unless you have the time every 15 minutes to untangle you end up with a half dry bedsheet. Towels are the same, not always completely dry when finished meaning has to go on again on manual heat setting. Very disappointed in the cost of this when this happens. Cheaper versions of Bosch I've had in the past were fantastic. Not worth spending the money on this version.
