Perfect for rainy days
Find the Bosh 8 very gentle on all types of fabrics including delicates. Very easy to operate and lots of temperature options. Would recommrnd opening a door slightly when in use even though the heat pump does not need outside ventilation.

Doesn't Dry
What kind of dryer doesn't dry clothes? We've been trying to dry a set of sheets all afternoon. Still wet. Not sure how running a dryer 4x longer makes it more eco friendly???

Will not dry
Had this for one week. No matter what we try this will not dry...ever.
Terribly disappointing as we rely on a dryer living in the snowy mountains.
Hoping Bosch/Harvey Norman can rectify this for us soon as generally Bosch products are awesome.
Purchased for $1,899.00.

Deserves ZERO stars DOES NOT DRY CLOTHES
Purchased this expensive dryer in April, it's now October and I'm so sick of this thing not drying anything, no matter what cycle I select. Regretted it from day 1. I try to put as little as possible in the dryer, but this machine won't dry a small load at all, it just ends the cycle after about a minute ! It will go a little longer if the load is bigger, but you still wouldn't leave it, as you'd still come back to damp clothes. I called the Bosch customer service line and was told they could send out a technician, but I could be charged for that - the thing is just 6 months old and has NEVER worked. What a joke, looks like I'll have to put the pressure on David Jones - I want my money back !!!

Wish I hadn’t bought it
Was willing to spend a lot more for the added energy efficiency, but unfortunately it’s also at the complete loss of efficacy. Clothes take at least 4 times longer to dry, and so often they just still aren’t dry enough. No matter how many times I reset and restart the dryer, items are still damp. Completely unable to put a load on at night and know it will be dry in the morning. A basic cycle is about 4 ½ hours. Very very disappointed.

ey use less energy. That may be the case, but when you’ve spent almost $1.4k on a dryer you really want some high speed efficacy too. My old dryer cost a quarter of the price, dried at a quarter of the time, and I didn’t have to constantly re run it for it to do job. Sure these new dryers save energy - but as the cost of getting the job doneSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very happy
Decided to go the whole hog and buy a heat pump dryer ... and after quite a lot of research settled on the Bosch Serie 4. I had read a few reviews from people saying that it didn't dry properly, but I have found it to be quiet, and reasonably quick to dry a variety of laundry. It does a great job on towels spin dried at 1200rpm in the washer first, and seems to be at its best if you keep the load reasonably consistent in fabric types. That said, on a few occasions I have just put everything in together and it seems to be fine.
The controls ...Read more
offer a number of separate programs, and drying options (cupboard dry, iron dry etc), or you can just pick a time (20 mins, 40 mins etc). I don't see a discernible change in my electricity bill either. I would strongly recommend this product. Could not be happier.Purchased in May 2021 for $1,299.00.

Bosh heat pump dryer
We bought this WTH85200AU one days ago from the harvey norman thomastown and start using it today. It keep stopping itself, we thought the cloth should be dried, but it’s not! We have tried all the different programs, all the same! my wife keep complaining why I spent nearly $1300 for a dryer doesn’t dry cloth properly. Our old $300 dryer worked very well.
I have checked the other model dryer from Bosch, it seems a lot of people have the same problem as we have.
Hope Bosch can fix it!

Love! Love! Love! Quiet & No need to vent!
I have had mine since since August 2018, I even bought one from home clearance with a couple scratches & dents plus a crack on the door. Mine works perfectly and most of the time I use the delicates, mixed, towels settings... sometimes it does leave my plusher towels a little damp but nothing another half hour on the timed program warm with fine adjustment to +++ always does the trick. And hint: the same program is great for the towels just before you hop in the shower in the midst of winter. Sometimes though having to press the start button repeatedly on the panel does frustrate on the odd occasion if you're in a hurry. So much better now I don't have to deal with mould issues with no need to vent this dryer.
Purchased in August 2021 at Home Clearance for $1,087.00.

Makes doing laundry a whole lot easier
I bought this tumble drier to replace an older tumble drier and I am really impressed with it. It dries the clothes really well once you are able to fine tune the additional drying setting. The filters are built well to ensure that no lint gets through to the condenser system. It does take quite a while to dry the clothes but that's what one expects from an energy efficient drier. Clothes are uniformly dried. The only issues I have are that the first filter easily gets blocked when one is drying towels and the cycle stops indicating that the is...Read more
a blockage in a filter. This is resolved easily by cleaning it out by hand and resuming the cycle. Also it doesn't finish a cycle with very small loads. It runs quietly as well which is a bonus. No lint seems to get trapped in the back of the drum which is a problem I had with the older drier.1 comment

Please, please tell me what is the quickest and HOTTEST drying cycle?

Hi Don,
Thanks for your question regarding the Bosch WTH85200AU.
As per your user manual (pages 23-24) the Cottons Extra Dry option would be the hottest for durable fabrics. Super Quick 40' is the quickest cycle but most cycles can be reduced in time to as little as 20 minutes but this does reduce the temperature

We purchased the WTH85200AU dryer last week from the Good Guys. We are using it as condenser dryer so have not added the drain hose. We have used it twice and so far the condenser drawer is completely dry! We called the Bosch hotline and they were just as complexed as we were and said just to monitor it. Any ideas?

Hi we bought our Bosch heap pump over 6 months ago, we are pretty disappointed with the performance as the dryer needs to run for at least 3-4 hours to dry the clothes. Whats the point of having a dryer if mother nature can do it in less time. We are still trying to work out which is the quickest and hottest setting for drying things quickly, for those items that we need in a hurry. I'm ready to get rid of this dryer and go back to buying the old school style..

Just a thought - maybe you need to spin dry at higher rpm, or maybe overfilling. I’ve never had more than a 1.5hr drying time.

Hi Beth,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WTH85200AU Dryer.
Please refer to your manual.
There is a quick 40 minute cycle for synthetics and light cottons (max load is 1kg)
For lightly damp clothes you can use the timed program (max load is 3kg)
