Don't waste your time and money!
Ecostar TQM530Have had nothing but trouble with this unit since it was installed in April. We had 5 warranty repairs within the first few weeks and months and now this winter the problems have started again with the same error messages the assured us had been fixed. We got a lemon of a unit and I regret buying a Braemar, would never buy another one again!! Hate to think what I will be paying once the warranty is over!

Ecostar Ducted Gas TQ SeriesJust over twelve months from installation, for service calls, each one apparently a different problem and now it has locked itself out and can only be restarted by a qualified service contractor! Apparently some part was getting wet and had to be moved - surely poor design - and some other part was obstructing the connection to the pilot light - for goodness sake - but all with the same message to do with flame rollout.
We bought Braemsr due to being Aussie made and efficiency rating - now think this was a bad decision.

Braemar never again!
Ecostar TQ430Where do I start! After having a Brivis unit for 18 years, it finally died. Got talked into buying the Braemar TQ430 Ecostar with MagiQtouch Controller. They told us it was one of the most energy efficient units on the market. I tend to agree as on the coldest month of the year it breaks down & therefore it is efficient because we cannot turn it on & it takes weeks for Braemar to come out & fix it. Bought the unit last May & on the day of installation the installer needed to get Braemar out under our warranty to fix it due to fan not working. 2

The installer come out again & as the unit was under warranty Braemar need to come out & fix it. How it works is that you initially need to get the installer out to check whether they have installed the unit properly or whether this issue is a manufacturer fault. Installer cannot fix if unit is under warranty. Installer then calls Braemar to get someone out to fix. So you play the waiting game twice. Anyway Braemar came out & yes the fan they had fixed died. August last year unit stopped working again. Installer out first then Braemar & this time the Mother Board had died. Braemar decided to check the controller out while they were there & found the MagiQtouch also had a fault, so changed that too. This is all from a unit that is 3 month old. Fast forward to now August 2017 & we play the waiting game again. The unit heats up to 17dg & decides to turn off & display an error message. I wonder what could be wrong this time. Thankfully we paid the $500 5 year extended warranty.I think we will need it. At the end of warranty I think we will look for another system. Never another Braemar it's been the biggest lemon we have ever bought.Heating: OK. Controller: Terrible
Ecostar TQ523The heater unit works well, although is a little noisy - mainly because the installer installed it right under our bedroom :( But heat-wise it does a good job. The MagiQtouch, however... there is nothing magical about it. There is nothing user-friendly about it. And there is certainly nothing sophisticated about it. It is basically a 1980s user interface - and a poor one at that. Flexibility is not in the dictionary of their software designers. The program mode offers you two times to turn on and off your heater. The max fan speed is a

And sadly, because Braemar refuse to follow any form of industry standards, replacing it with a smart thermostat like a Nest or Ecobee is near impossible. I wish I had researched the controller before spending so much money on this. I was told it was a better heater than the Brivis, but I now wish I had bought the latter. At least I could have had a decent controller...

Simple unit works well
Ecostar TQ320We have now had this unit TQ320 for 4 weeks, it is doing what is expected, it is quite and simple to use. We had it professionally installed. We have 8 outlets, all will warm the home up fast( 4 bedroom house floor ducts). First night it locked out with a fault ( fault19 inlet air) service man came out and checked the settings and has worked fine since We did go for the upgraded wall control looks good but can past on it if you like to keep it simple to use. At this stage we are happy with it, will keep you posted on any change,

Best purchase I have ever made
Ecostar TQ415Purchased ducted gas heating. Absolutely awsome!!!! Set timer to come on at 7am (off at 8.30am)heats whole house to 22 degrees in about 5 mins when 2 degrees outside! Turns on again at 5pm and heats house again including four bedroom and bathroom in about 2 mins. Silent and SUPER powerful We have six ducts and air pumps out super hot and silent. Awesome on stormy 3 degree winter nights.will heat the house to over 30 degrees if required super quick. Makes a joke of old wall mounted heaters.

Been told by the service man there's something faulty and if it happens again just to call them. Well now a week later it happened againg stopped working. So waiting for them to come fix it again. Not happy at all, its not cheap and having to deal with this issues at this time.

Ecostar TQM632We chose this system due to its efficiency rating, price and name, and just wished we replaced our dinosaur of a heater years ago! Very Very Happy and can't wait for the first Bill to come in to see how cheap it is to run compared to our old 1 star heater.

Would not recommend this product i would be asking for compensation from the company.
Works really well - a lot better than my old heater
Ecostar TQM6X32+To date it has worked really well far better than my old one. I would highly recommend. All the vents that struggled to pump air now have a strong gust of heat- Rooms are warm now. Unit is a lot smaller and not as noisy as the old unit. Has a nicer look as well.

Ecostar TQM632Installers were great, very professional and friendly.
It has been a great addition to our house. Can not hear it and it keeps the zones as programmed. We relied on wood heating for years which was great, but coupled with this new system we get the best of both worlds.....whole house warm and great ambiance in the living area's. Win win for us. Don't know why we didn't do it sooner.
Nice and quiet
Ecostar TQ532Purchased after our old system died (well exploded actually). Recommended by supplier and fitted with new zoning system (3 zones) and new R1.5 ducting to floor vents to minimise heat loss.
System heater works fine as a heater. Not too noisy and the zoning function keeps my gas bills the the minimum.
The magicTouch controller (smart digital controller) is ok for basic stuff on/off and turning other zones on an off but is terrible when it comes to programming automatic on and off times /days and dates so much so I gave up even tho I usuall

Ecostar TQM5202 weeks to the day of installation it stopped working, then approx 6 weeks later it breaks down again, customer service is a disgrace as well!! 5 days to get someone to even look at it in the middle of winter is appalling!! If my asthmatic sister ends up in hospital you'll find yourselves in court.

Ecostar TQM520After having this unit installed 2 weeks ago, we have not had a 24 hour period where it has worked properly. issues range from
- incorrectly installed fan, that was loose, rattling and not blowing any heat into the house. Technician called to fix fan installation which had been cross threaded.
- Unit would fire up for 30 seconds and then cut out. This would occur for 45 mins to hour before it would sort itself out and finally 'work properly'. Technician called to investigate. and replace circuit board as that 'might' fix the problem.

Faulty software replaced.
Ecostar TQ420Finallly after so many error messages due to faulty software, a technician was sent out to install new panel. Ask questions about the software if purchasing this unit. As under warranty it could be fixed and It is now working well. What a difference from a previously unreliable unit with connectivity problems to one that works efficiently providing a warm home almost immediately.
