Don’t buy. Terrible after purchase service.
After only a few months I had issues with my machine. I have now been without my coffee machine since December 2018. I have had nothing but empty promises from Breville. The most recent offer of a bag of coffee beans to appease me hasn’t worked either. They’ve not sent the beans and I still don’t have my machine to use them! I’ve held off lodging a bad review but feel Breville has had plenty of chances to right their wrongs.
Purchased in December 2021.

My coffee best friend
This was a great machine.
10 years of service, 2 coffees per day.
easy to use, easy to clean, great coffee.
No issues for 10 years, until it finally gave up last month.
Its been very sad each morning without it!
Only complaint was the noise the machine makes when grinding and warming up
Purchased in August 2021.

Barista Coffees At Home!
A constant hum in our house is our coffee machine. Compact, sleek, easy to use and the built in grinder leaves its competitors for dead. It’s a tad pricey but a worthwhile investment.
Purchased in January 2021 at The Good Guys for $855.00.

So happy!
This is my first coffee machine that is not for pods or not automatic. I'm not a barista or not good at making coffee, however the machine is very easy to use and always make a great coffee. So happy and satisfied. Simpy buying a bag of great coffee beans and the rest is done by the machine. I highly recommend this to anyone - in my view you don't need to spend over $1000 to get a tasty coffee at home.
Purchased in November 2021 for $648.00.

Proof in the pudding
I have been reluctant to offer a review of a coffee machine because from 2003 until 2011 I went through four of the expensive fully automatic machines. My purchase of the semi automatic Breville was the result of losing faith in the automatic machines. The Breville just has a built in grinder with grind and quantity select and a group flow selector. Not one thing has gone awry with this product in almost seven years. It heats quickly, the switch from brew to steam is almost instant. The only downsides are the small bean hopper, (rectified on la...Read more
ter models) and the water reservoir which warms up too much. This necessitates emptying the unit every day. The grounds tray is a little fiddly to clean but is better than most. I will certainly have another when this one finally cries for mercy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great little machine, makes the perfect coffee will last you forever if you take good care of it.
I've had this machine since 2009 and have used it at lease 300 of the 356 days a year, each and every year since. Makes a great coffee just the way me and my wife likes it and the little thing is still going and works like the day I took it out of it's box. The only thing I've had to do was change is the rubble seal after it's first 5 years and that's costed me about $18.00. I have a spare seal just in case it goes again but haven't had to yet. Brilliant little machine, best investment I've ever made.

Great all rounder!!
Great all rounder machine that produces decent quality coffee at home. Not interested in multiple seperate objects so this all in one does the job..
took a little bit of usage with the grinding/coffee beans and cup sizes to get the quality that i was happy with..
Easy to clean & maintain due to the stainless look..
produces consisten quality within batches of coffee but always adjustments required between brands/batches..
the default milk container is a bit on the small side serving gets away with 1 person easily, possibly 2 depending on the level of milk..
saves me going out for coffee in the morning which is an additional bonus!!

Great machine. No issues ever.
Quality of coffee great for a startup domestic machine. Refining the coffee to your taste by grind size or by amount is a nice offering. Coffee pours well, depending on bean grind thickness and pressure applied to group head but all in all very happy with the machine for the price paid. Bought 5 years ago. No repairs needed so far. Only fault I can find is the base paint has come off the right side of the water collection plate, most likely due to contact with water and milk over the years. AAA plus for the money. Well recommended for first manual machine.

Love my machine!
This machine is so easy to use. I live being able to make great coffee at home. It can be a little tricky to get the milk frothed going sometimes as it seems to take alot for the machine to get that going. We have had this for 4 years now and it is still going strong!

Great coffee machine
I've been using this machine for 3 years and it's faultless. Coffee made is vastly better than most coffee shops.
Once you get the grind courseness and volume right coffee extraction is almost perfect. Even makes average coffee taste good.
It's so good I even took it away with me on hols. Beware with one of these you'll turn into a coffee snob.

Not bad, but didn't last long
It was a pretty good machine for the price, easy to use. Made good coffe but it only lasted about a year and a half or 2 years before it died, and I didn't replace it with the same brand. I liked the fact that it had a built in grinder which made it nice and compact.

Absolutely love it!
I absolutely love this coffee machine! I have some experience in coffee making (nothing too exciting) but wanted a coffee machine that made cafe style coffee but didn’t break the budget or take up too much bench space. This coffee machine was absolutely perfect for that and continues to impress after 5 years of use! It’s easy to clean and cleaning products are readily available!

Amazing machine.
Makes a great coffee. Better then ones I’ve made using much more expensive machines. And good control of grind size. Only issue is the grind amount. The min amount is what fills the basket. Meaning that you can’t really twik it.
Milk Froffer works pretty quickly.
And it’s very easy to clean and maintain.

Love my coffee machine ❤️
We love our Breville Beists Express. We use it everyday so no more paying for my morning coffee before work. It is very easy to use and clean. Have not had any problems with it at all and we’ve had it for about 3 years. Even my 7 year old can use it (and makes better coffee than us).

Had this baby over 5 years and hasn’t skipped a beat
Honestly worth every penny, has worked wonderfully over the past 5 years, makes perfect coffee. Does what it’s designed to do. Has different settings for different shots I call it the his n hers setting. Machine is still going strong. I think tho it’s because we only use rain water in it, but it gets used 3 - 4 times a day.

Great Little Coffee Machine - Long Term Review
Awesome little machine. Still pumps out a strong coffee. Get the odd coffee stain behind where the group head goes so well recommended cleaning there. Also cleaning the milk wand can be difficult. Only issue i have had was with the grinder, but i upgraded to their standalone grinder for a more precise grind. Would recommend the unit, as its now just short of 5 years old and still no issues with the pump or the quality of coffee outputted.

Perfect machine
Easy to use, plenty youtube videos to show you how its done. Got it for 550 at Myer when therewas a 20% off. Try out the dial on the side might need to test it out a little before finding a sweet spot for your taste bud. Loving it! You should get one.

Efficient and compact coffee machine
This is a handy little all-in-one machine that I use every morning for my espresso. The main positive of this machine is that the grinder is combined, and takes up less space. Cleaning is quick and easy. The steamer is not as powerful as I would like but for it's size and price, I think this machine is great value for money.

Good machine and easy to use
Got the machine as a gift and found this is good reliable coffee machine and easy to use.
Easy to clean but hard to remove coffee beans from inside the Grinder.
Steamer takes time to heat up between dispensing coffee shot and frothing milk.
It requires some skills to make a consistent coffee compare to pods type machine. A bit of guess work to set the grind size setting to you taste and coffee bean type.
Overall a good machine.

The Perfect Home Machine - used daily without missing a beat.
The coffee tastes amazing, thanks to a fresh grind every time, and a quick espresso pour. This was a wedding present from my Nanna 6 years ago now and with Daily use is still going strong! Love the option of grind coarseness, as we can use the beans in our work coffee press too (make coarser or finer as required).
With a regular clean and descale, this machine's coffee tastes perfect everytime. No need to buy regulation Breville Descaler - Aldi have tablets that are far more cost-effective!
If it ever dies, we will replace with the newer model at the time!

I have a second hand breville BES860 and the grinder button has started just turning on and off on its own. Has any one else struck this? I've tried compressed air and food safe spray lube but no dice.

Out of nowhere and it was used this morning, my breville coffee machine wont hold the coffee dispenser where you attach for the grinder of coffee section. Do you know how to fix this?
