Cafe coffee at home
This machine is easy to use, easy to clean and stands head and shoulders above other home coffee machines. The taste of the coffee it makes at home is on par with that of any cafe, and the milk texture it makes is silky and smooth. I would recommend this machine to any aspiring barrister or anyone who wants the taste of coffee from a cafe in their house.

Great machine but it now overflows and coffee goes everywhere
When putting the coffee in it is overflowing and dripping everywhere
Think the parts should be more readily available to fix
It is easy to clean and use but must be careful to not over tighten it and be careful what you put the grind size on
We have the matching set

Amazing - life changing buy
I bought this almost 2 years ago and it is fantastic. Great coffee, good steaming. Very robust, I have the grinder too, and both have changed my life. The only downside is now when I go to a coffee shop, what I thought was a good cup is now average!

Great at what it does
The coffee machine does a great job at grinding the coffee to make it nice and smooth. It is really helpful having the water tank at the front because I have things on top of it and it's hard to reach the back. The coffee is also good and I feel like a real barista and there is nothing better now than making coffee every morning.

Decent machine for the price
After having a breville coffee machine for 5yrs which died, i decided to purchase another breville middle of the price range very similar to my old machine but produces much better coffee, love the clean me feature and the timer for automatic start, who wouldn't want to wake up to their coffee machine ready to go in the morning!

Love it
Jumped from Sunbeam to this one and love it. Love the auto turn on feature so its ready for me when i get out of bed. The only additional feature a would have liked is a milk temp gauge like to the sunbeam i had.
Great quality build.
Would recommend this machine.

Excellent coffee machine
An awesome coffee machine. Lots of little things they've done right, which makes using it a dream. Front filling water tank is great if you've got cupboards above, storage for the tamper and tools make sure it always looks neat and tidy. Ow and it makes really good coffee when you've got nice fresh beans.

Love coffee at home in the morning!!
This coffee machine is totally meet my expectation. Really like to start my day with a cup of coffee with this machine. I purchased these two items at the end of financial year sale with a pretty good price. The best thing is I can have coffee at home which tastes as good as the restaurant one!

Your best friend in the morning
As a coffee enthusiast, I was hesitant to buy a regular consumer branded coffee machine for fear of poor coffee quality. I have been proven wrong! I've had this machine for 3 years and it has never failed me! It extracts coffee to perfect crema; and steams velvety smooth milk. Highly recommended,

Best way to start the day
This coffee machine can do it all. Takes a few coffees to have it properly primed, but even those are pretty good. (Takes some commercial machines in excess of 20 or so to get there so not really a con) No problems doing latte art, short blacks or even over a scoop of vanilla icecream for the best affagato - YUM!
Good automatic features, easy to clean and I like the automatic reminder to clean the machine once I have made a certain number of coffees. I have had the machine for over 5 years now without any problems, and it also comes with me on...Read more

Don't expect parts backup
This machine is great when working, but when it's not, look out!! I have spent the last month trying to source a part that should never of been installed.
What I have read is that the collar insert (which is plastic) is common to break and cause the group head to leak. Which should be a simple fix. Well that's where things go south. I contacted Breville and they inform me that part is no longer available (my guess it was causing them grief) and I would require a whole new group collar that has been redesigned and it would cost $200. Excellent for everyday use
We bought this after we sold our coffee shop. The machine heats up quickly and seems to hold the temperature even after making many milk based coffees in a row. Good size water reserve and good steam pressure. The dual boiler allows for quick and effective simultaneous pour and steaming. Easy to clean. The grinder is good and is responsive to minimal adjustments. Very little waste.
We love it.

Descaling kills what is otherwise great machine
I bought this machine in 2014 and have had it sent for repair 3 times. All 3 times issue was related to issues caused from descaling. Last time service 3 months ago and cannot descale at all. I'm taking the matter to VCAT. It's a joke that companies can sell and get away with design technical faults and not have to deal with them.

Great coffee machine
This is our second Breville Dual Boiler. Our previous one was great too, however the group head faultered as soon as the warranty expired which was a nuisance. We purchased another one though and got the newest model and it has been great also. Occasionally when I turn it on it makes a bit of a noise and switches itself off straight away. But if you turn it on again its goes no problem. The coffee tastes like a barista made coffee. The grinder that came free with it is great. Measures the coffee perfectly. The machine itself if simple to use, and its easy to do a clean function. But the descaling function needs improving. Its quite complicated. Overall I would recommend this machine.

Prefect. makes our day
This is a great buy and a great replacement for our Breville BES 860 that lasted us around 4 years.
This is a more complex machine and the need of a good grinder and fresh coffee beans are essential.
Has a bit more of a learning curve especially if you use the single basket.
My only concern is the durability of the machine. Bought extended warranty from HArvey Norman for peace of mind. Price was right in our budget as it was a runout model

Excellent Coffee machine, love it!
this is the coffee machine you can compare to the commercial coffee in shopping center, although this is a little over, but the taste and texture of the coffee is A1 level.
brought from Harvey Norman, and used for 3 months, love it, although you need time to learn how to make a perfect coffee by this kind of manual machine (if you are newbie of coffee), but it worthy to spend some time on it, and the milk steamer is fantastic, easy and quick to make the perfect steam milk for Latte or Cappa.
All in one word, this machine is recommended if you are a coffee lover.

Excellent coffee machine
Great coffee machine. Automatic start function is great so that the machine is ready to fire as soon as I get up in the morning. The steam wand is very powerful and has the ability to froth milk in about 40 seconds. The only negative is that the single cup filter is slightly too small for my liking.

Awesome coffee machine
This is a great machine. After using a lower model Sunbeam for the past few years, I upgraded to the Breville Dual Boiler and boy am I impressed. It makes great tasting coffee as long as you maintain the Group Head and machine regularly. The steam wand is strong and makes steaming milk a breeze. Careful as it gets insanely hot though. It takes a while to heat up when first switched on too, so be sure to switch it on a couple of mins before use. Highly recommend for cafe quality coffee at home. It's not the cheapest however, and so you would expect such results. It doesn't disappoint.

Great espresso machine!
l love my morning coffee, and this machine never lets me down. The double boiler consumes a fair amount of bench space, however my 920 has definitely earned it's place in our kitchen! Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good coffee and doesn't mind a little bit of a learning curve. If you love pod machines this is probably not for you.

Great coffee machine!
Got it during the EOFY sales where its on clearance as I understand that the model will be discontinued. Despite it, this is still a great coffee machine that produces great coffee!
It has separate boilers for the steamer and the coffee and it's easy to use. Haven't encountered any issues as yet but it works great with the accompanied smart grinder.

I have recently completed a descale on my dual boiler. Reset and all good, however, when I turn in machine, with Water tank half full, i can hear machine filling up with water then reaches temperature and extracts well (9.5 bar) and steams milk, however after I turn it off, water must be leaking from machine as within few hours the drip tray is completely full of water and the water tank is empty - didn’t do this before the descale? Any ideas?

I have just purchased BES920 today, and this machine makes a big noise when brewing. Checked YouTube and found same problem someone posted but he just ended up to use it as is. Pp suggested it is the air trapped in the boiler, but my machine made the noise since the first coffee. Anyone knows I can fix this?

Hi there. I need some help with my BES 920. It has run faultless for the first 12 to 18 months but after that the pre infusion randomly plays up. Sometimes It works normally but most of the time when you press either of shot buttons you just get what I assume is the solenoid valve humming and no pre-infusion until it reaches the 7 seconds before full pressure comes in and pours a less than acceptable shot. After searching for the problem I have replaced the solenoid valve thinking that was the issue but it still does the same thing. I have learnt to get around the problem by dispensing some hot water and then doing a shot which works every time but just a band aid for the problem. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be? Anyone else with the same problem? Looking for a solution. Thanks
