The one at my cousins' house doesn't automatically switch off in windy weather.

Great heat output, easy installation job

I had a different and reasonably painless experence with the purchase and installation.
I chose the powerflue due to the flexible installation options... I had an internal wall that I wanted to install it against and needed it to flue under the floor.
I knew it was going to cost a little to flue it down, but am very happy with the end result. The heater works well and looks great. I haven't had any performance issues so far.
reliable, efficient, energy efficent, installation optionsm, inexpensive for the heater unit
I can sometimes notice the noise of the heater

You can operate the heater manually by pressing the ON/OFF button once. (Located on the side of the unit)
Or if you have the remote thermostat, select manual mode by pressing the A/M button until Manual appears on the display, then press the up arrow to the desired temperature.

That's what I'd like to know. Service guy has been out 3 times now for this problem and it is still not fixed.

Hi Heater, when the heater beeps 4 times, the heater turns to safe shutdown mode. It will beep 4 times every 30 seconds to alert you to the fact. Press the ON/OFF button once to restart the heater during this time. Wait at least 20 seconds before attempting to turn the heater on.

If you still experience problems with your Cannon Fitzroy, we recommend you contact our Customer Care team on 1300 727 421 or email your details to service @ixl.com.au with "Product Review Comments" in the subject line. Our team are keen to assist you resolve the issue.

With mine the controls are 4 small buttons on the right side of the unit, top corner, electric start so unit must be plugged in, turned on and have gas valves in on position if you have safety valves in the line .

The top button is the start button and after oressing you will hear the automatic starter ticking rapidly, it should light within 2-4 seconds if gas is connected and flowing .
