Clairol Nice 'n Easy
118 Natural Medium Brown, 100 Natural Lightest Blonde, 102 Natural Light Ash Blonde, etc... (See All)Reviewer Photos & Videos
Really disappointed with product. Have used before and therefore did not feel need for allergy test. Used to enjoy product but this time left scalp burnt and extremely itchy. Nape also burnt and behind my ears and on ears badly burnt and still weeping. I actually got sick and am healing now. NOT IMPRESSED CLAIROL! Apparently though black hair dye has ingredients in it that lean towards this type of reaction. Perhaps a review of your ingredients is needed.
Purchased in July 2021 for $17.99.
I used lightest brown and was mortified it was almost black.I have had to buy lightening shampoo and it still nowhere near light brown.I would never use nice and easy or any clairol dye, I am so upset

Since it was on sale I thought I’d try it out what a huge mistake that was. I wish I read the reviews before I put it in my hair it’s pitch black what a disaster.

After using SB1 OR SB2 (cant remember original numbers before these) for 10years....and having beautiful results i have noticed something major has changed!!!!
My roots do not turn the lightest blonde they used to, they now only go to yellow blonde????
My hair is medium blonde naturally so I know my hair always turns maximum blonde when using the original shades....What have you changed???
I have also noticed more blue/purple deposits than ever before, and I only put on lengths for 5mins after roots have developed!!!! Surely that should not happen!!!
I'm sorry to say I will be trying a new brand, which I'm gutted about as they were very gentle on the hair :-(
I used this colour for years now I’m struggling too replace it. Please bring it back. People always commented on how good my hair colour was. Bring back the mahogony

This is for the box now called 8A but not the newest version which has the pink flowers on the box. To begin with my hair was a light gingery brown from previous faded hair dye with my natural dark blonde regrowth. I chose the ash blonde because I wanted to get the ginger out of my hair. After dying it my hair was a very pretty dark blonde/light brown and it looks very natural, even to the point where it does look like I’ve got blonde highlights in my hair, so like the box says it is multi-tonal and it’s a very even colour that didn’t leave my...
Read more ends darker than the rest. It also covered most of my grey hair except the odd stubborn one which still looks more blended. The only negatives though is that it does have a strong chemical smell and did sting some parts of my scalp. And despite being a pretty colour, it doesn’t seem that ashy/cool so I’m almost expecting the ginger to come back. It also makes your hair really dry and brittle when you wash it out but the conditioner makes it soft and silky again without any apparent damage. Overall I would use it again because it’s a very pretty colour with highlights, covers grey, which a lot of other brands don’t seem to anymore, and my hair is still in good condition.Purchased in October 2020 at Woolworths for $9.

Touched up my hair had very dark brown ( mousey) roots.... following instructions to blend through after 25mins, however I sat down to read reviews & got a bit nervous about leaving it on any longer. However it's not too bad, was hoping slightly lighter, but I think has blended ok with existing color. Overall I left in for 30 minutes....

I’m using the newer version called 8WR and I’ve never used it before so I can’t comment if it’s different to the older version, but after reading a lot of negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised, it turned my light brown hair into a very natural looking dark copper blonde, like a caramel colour, not a scary orange I was worried about. It does make your hair feel dry but the conditioner it comes with fixed that. I do have a few grey’s as well that I noticed didn’t get covered but that’s not a concern for me. I haven’t washed it yet so I can’...
Read moret comment what it will look like after a few washes but so far I love it, it was exactly the colour I was hoping for. EDIT: After washing my hair a couple of times the red/copper hue it had is only really visible in the sun or bright lights, otherwise it’s turned into a very pretty still and natural looking caramel blonde. I think if you wanted more red try the darker red shade which I think is called natural auburn?Purchased in April 2020 at Woolworths for $9.

I bought this as liked the colour on the box. I already have red hair but with grey coming thru abit. The process was easy enough but the colour is awful it has a dirty tinge to it and its completely wrecked my hair drying it out so much. I so regret using it

Doesn't cover grey at all. I left it on for at least 30 minutes over the recommended time. Damaged my hair for nothing. I'm very disappointed in this Clairol product.

Easy to use but darker then expected.
I have been colouring my own hair for years and using this product recently. It is very easy to apply and so much cheaper than a salon colour. The dye gives excellent grey coverage and does not fade. I wash my hair twice a week and the colour lasts until the regrowth needs recolouring in 4 weeks. My hair is curly and dry but the supplied conditioner is very moisturising and makes my hair feel soft and smooth. I left the colour on for the recommended time but it was quite a bit darker than I was expecting. Overall I’m happy with the results and will continue to use this product.

I am very dissatisfied with the "New and Improved" formula for Nice n Easy. I have been a faithful customer of the Clairol Nice & Easy product for over 25 years. I used the 118 Medium Neutral Brown color and my hair turned out very natural looking with streaks of highlights built in. I used to get compliments from strangers on the street asking me which salon I went to. They could not believe I colored it myself at home with Clairol Nice & Easy. Now, the same shade comes out a flat dark brown with no shine. The beautiful highlights are gone, it...
Read more only covers half my gray and it washes out within a week or two. Please go back to your liquid formula with the highlights, it was perfect! I don't want to start looking for a new brand I just want your old product back.Purchased in December 2022 for $6.99.
Nice & Easy 9PB just AWFUL I have read other reviews on this product, so glad I did. I thought it was just me. I even double checked that I had bought the correct shade because the colour is just nothing like the older version which I had used for years. Do wonder if Clairol have made a mistake in production or labelling of this product. Will try some other Brand won't use 9PB again.

I have just used the new clairol Natural Instincts range. I used the Light Brown colour which looked just right in the colour results. But its not! Its not remotely light brown. My hair has turned out the darkest darkest brown ever, and my hair was a dark blonde to start with. Very unhappy with results. This is not light brown so don’t use if that is the colour you are after.
