They dont answer their phone ???
Just trying to call them to ask a few quick questions, but they dont even answer their phone, same with the Ipswich store. Must be company policy to be arrogant, as usual with companies like these.

Feels good to be in America
I visited a costco for the first time this month. Great Organic beef burgers. Hot dog with drinks for $2.
Hugh isles with just tones of crap. Meat costs decent and large servings of old classics.
Snacking away on a bag of 1.35kg of Reese buttercups. Loving life.

Extremely disappointed! Do not recommend!
I shopped at the Canberra store today and bought the 2kg tub of Chobani yogurt, dated with an expiry date of 4/10/19
I was disappointed to find the yogurt was off.

Good place for things that you need, but you need to know what other retailers charge!!
All items are not cheap at Costco!! You really need to know your prices and compare them with other retailers. The only thing is that you get Kirkland products which are exclusive to Costco. The range of tablets are great and their nuts are pretty good too.
There are long waits to pay for your stuff and I always check the online catalogs, as I find that Costco sometimes don't advertise the items that are on special.
The meat is good quality but a bit more expensive.

Costco Fuel
Costco fuel is consistently cheaper than any others in the area. After checking various apps, Costco nearly always comes out in front. The $60 membership fee is quickly reimbursed with the savings made on weekly petrol.

Very rude check out staff
Went there with my friend as she is a member. I spent more than $300. The lady at the checkout was very rude and unprofessional. First She tasked to see my friends drivers license. She didn’t let me pay with my key card and said ( only members are allowed to pay by card, none members pay by cash only! ) honestly she made us feel like we were stealing! Don’t shop there unless you’re a member otherwise they won’t make you feel welcome. Never going back. Worst shopping experience.

One stop shop for groceries and petrol
Usually go to the Auburn store on the weekends, but happened to visit the Casula store last week.
There is plenty of parking and not as packed as the Auburn one.
Everything you need in bulk.
Unleaded petrol here is about 20cent cheaper than the servo we passed on the way home.
Staff were nice and friendly.
Will be back for our weekly shopping and to fill up the family car.

Could be great but too much friction in too many ways
After you make a purchase you have a long wait to get out as there are lines of people pushing and jumping in front of each other to get their receipt checked off. The registers seem well manned and managed I dont know why they need this extra check exiting. Last weekend I spent 10mins waiting at the registers to finally go to pay. After that I waited another 10mins in the line to get out and be checked and there was a lot of pushing in front of each other and awkward moments. Really ruined the shopping experience so much that I will only go th...Read more
ere now on off peak times which means I cant go there when I want. Today my wife and I were busy working and we needed to get a few things we couldnt get on the weekend due avoiding the peak time rushes. So we told our son to grab our card and get what we needed. He was stopped at the front and our card was confiscated. So this means we can now only shop there when my wife and I have the time to go shopping. So now we cant have a good experience at peak times and can only shop there when my wife and I are free. These points of friction are increasing to the stage that the initial great experience and referring to many of my friends has now changed to I prefer going to Coles and Woolies and am telling friends and family to do the same. Shame could be such a better experience.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Where going to give you food poisoning
Well off to shop at Costco again thought I’d try and get one of there cheap chickens again they are big but it really puts me off when I get home and start to cut it up and it’s not cooked again it’s red raw around the bone and breast flesh still red and raw .
This is the 3rd time I’ve purchased these and 2 out 3 times there not cooked .
There cooking staff should be BBQ for this lack of skill to cook a chicken.

Overrated
paid $60 to join but after this first experience I won't return. Rude staff at the door were impolite and off putting. Inside bargains were average, careful shopping elsewhere will get you as good or better savings. Bought fuel and they have you estimate how much you will get which is then taken from your bank with a promise to refund excess $ if you don't use the full amount. 10 days later and the $30 I didn't use is still not returned.

Checkout staff - very, very poor service
Firstly when was the last time your feedback box in the shop was cleared? It is 3 feet high and no space for another form. Secondly after presenting my Costco membership card with my clear photo why was I rudely asked for additional ID by staff serving on aisle 5 at 4.40PM on 29/6/19? When asked why, she said it is her right! Do you think it could be poor training or a bit of personal dislike for people of other colour other than caucasian or she has optical disability?

Impolite behaviour
I went there yesterday for the first time in my life. At the entrance door, there was a lady who asked me if it was my first time visiting there. I replied yes and she said you must go to the counter filling out a form. she did not let me go inside first. her behaviour was not polite and friendly.
at the end of my visit, she asked me to open my bag as if I stole something from their shop! it was very rude. I won't put my feet there ever again.

Rude Supervisor
Went to the shop yesterday on behalf of my wife (who is at home recovering from a hip replacement operation). Learned that I can't use her membership card/credit card - despite the circumstances we find ourselves in.
Okay, I can handle that - rules are for protecting everybody.
However, the self important and belittling attitude/tone of the senior supervisor (at Docklands,. approx 1.30 pm on 19th June 2022 was appalling. She confiscated "our" card and left without even explaining how i would get out the notoriously dodgy carpark and stormed off without a single attempt to even try to soothe the situation.
Wont be back!!

Outstanding customer service
I bought an expensive item and didn't save a receipt. Customer service representative found me in they system and proceed with refund immediately. It took 6 min while we had a lovely casual chat. Stress-free, worth every dollar. Thanks

Petrol savings over the year make it worth the $60 fee
As the heading suggests I generally save $7-10 filling up at costco fuel per tank
Yeah buying in bulk maximises the savings, but even the the bulk items you need to calculate if it’s cheaper than Coles or woolies, you’ll need to know what’s worth it and what’s not when buying there.
Like CK business shirts for $19.99 are worth it, their coupon specials (catalogue sales to members generally have good deals)
As the whingers will talk about $60 annual fee, unfriendly staff, packed on weekends, have to buy in bulk, waiting for petrol, or to get...Read more
service or their membership cards / photo looked at prior to entering the store. To simply avoid this come in during weekdays or if you need to go weekends come in when costco opens earlier in the morning simple as that, and you’ll have a positive experience unlike some of the complainers you’ll read about here. Don’t listen to them, customer service is overrated in this time poor day and age, if you can’t figure it out yourself (read the how to signs, observe other people) and let the Costco staff do their thing you will be fine.Similar opinion? Ideal for those who understood costco policy
I felt compelled to put my 2 cents share on here after reading some bad reviews about Costco.
Firstly, $60 membership. Costco has clear policy... don’t do it if you don’t see the advantage of bulk buying. If you cannot afford to get a membership card or less likely to visit Costco, then don’t become a member.
Second, poor customer service are everywhere in Australia! Go to Bunnings for example.
Third, I hope for Costco to add more products like Clear and Free for sensitive skin (laundry).
Fourth, Costco fuel ofcourse will be long queue a...Read more

Do you have toilet roll now
1 answer
The issue was never about the availability of toilet paper but the number of ar$^%*les who were storing it.
I didn't buy toilet paper at Costco's as I have always had a months supply in the house, but this isn't answering your question. The local supermarkets seem to have a good supply now and also of different brands. As far as Costco is concerned, I do not know.
