I bought this model some months ago at Amazon. Some days ago the orange light on the steam button started blinking. Following the instructions I ran a descaling using the EcoDecalk Delonghi product. However, the orange ight keeps blinking. Can you please tell me what the problem could be? My product is still under warrantee. Thanks a lot for your support.

Sorry I'm not so sure. This may sound silly - but have you actually unplugged and turned it on/off again? That might help.
Otherwise go through the whole setup process again? Hope that helps.

Thank you. In fact I repeated the whole process once again and this time it worked. What I still don't understand though is that the machine needed a descaling after hardly some months since I bought it and although I use soft water.

Try setting the water quality setting on your Dedica to Soft. (see instructions) Hopefully that will mean it will ask you to descale less often?

I have the same issue. Did you get an answer to this?

That seems normal. Pumping in a small unit sounds like it's thumping, but all good.

The pumping noise of my steamer in forthing milk mode is also noisy. Like hell. And doesnt make any foam.
Just blowing my ears and worming the milk.
There is an answer for it?

After I have pressed the "steam" button and used the frother, the single and double cup buttons flash and I have to turn the machine on and off to get it to work again. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Thats because the temperature of the themoblock is at the temperature required to make steam and is too hot to brew. To cool down the temp, turn the knob on the right to the steam position and it will expel steam for some time and once it starts expelling water, turn the knob off. Now the sing and double cup lights will stop flashing and the machine is ready to brew espresso

Bought it recently and my son poured milk in water tank to make hot milk (made it 2 or more). Rinsed it with water no smell still I'm worried. Should I descale it or use vinegar water solution. Can anyone know??? Please??
(Sorry for bad English)

Yikes!! Use the steamer to heat milk. I'd be running soap and water through the system about 10 times and clean water 20 times if I had milk through it.

What are the best pods for this machine???

It takes the ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) pods. Not be confused with the various plastic capsules such as Nespresso.
DeLonghi have a range of ESE pods but you can use any brand as they are all standard fit.

I tried the pods and they were awful. If you like weak tasteless coffee then pods would be ok. Really it's a ground coffee maker, that's what it's best at. With ground coffee I cannot fault it. I'm on my second machine. Best machine I've owned.
