You can, but they won't be very strong. I always make one cup using the 2 cup symbol, which means both "shots" go into the one cup.

I have no idea but doubt it. You would need to look at the product description. It has options for steam and to heat milk but thats all as far as I can see.

Hi Deane, Our Dedica has an on and off switch for steam but you can vary the way the steam nozzle froths so it can make thick textured cappuccino milk or hot flatter milk. This also acts as a hot water tap.
here is a link to the video showing how to use the steam so you can see how it works.

Yup - descale
It has a timer it seems that sets that off and it will not go off unless you descale exactly as per the manual.

Do you have your instructions? I had to read them really well to understand how it works. It might need cleaning or steam lever might be on or it could need descaling. Also check water level. If all fails turn off and on again.

Thank you Kim maree but I can’t even get to the reset programming or descaling option. Turning in and off isn’t resetting it at all. Lights just flash till it turns off

Double shot is only giving out a single shot amount. Why and how to fix?
Single shot works fine.

Either the machine is playing up, or you have accidentally programmed the amount for the double shot button.

To set the amounts of water/coffee you would like to be delivered see here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96W3PLno76I&list=PLEMc1V_7ahGFfYhViWfQ5zUyZ435LMuo8&index=15&t=0s

Hello, can you froth milk without heating it up? So have cold milk with froth?

No. A jet of steam is what is used to froth the milk. You need heat to create steam.

Cold frothed milk would require a mixer to manually stir the milk - search 'milk frother' on Amazon.

we brought a dedicated 2-3 years ago and last coffee we made water came out of the coffee part after use now it turns on and nothing at all happens. the lights flash bit no noise or liquid will come out. what can we do to make it work again? or is it just done

1 answer

If there is no noise at all, the pump is not working. Therefore, it probably needs a new pump.

If you hear the pump as normal, but no water comes out, one of the filters could be blocked, or an air bubble in the water supply line that leads to the coffee.

Bought my machine online in October, took it to service agent because descale was happening each 3 weeks and some coffees frothed well then it starts overfrothing and going up over the jug . They fixed the descaling problem and gave me suggestions for the frothing. I now have 4 different sized milk jugs but the over frothing keeps coming back. Is this a common problem

It could be an air bubble in the water line to the coffee dispenser. My ec680 had this problem. I thought it was the water pump not working. I even bought one to replace. But while looking for videos on how to take the machine apart I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjvZrsX-M1w

I can' t understand him, but I can make out the word "pump", then laughter. He indicates both water lines, then releases some of the pressure on the coffee line. I did this and a burst of water & air was released - an air bubble. Then I tightened the screws up again, and it worked. So it might for your machine as well :)

Hi Cwissy,

Thank you for your enquiry. Please press the steam button first before opening the steam dial. If you open the steam dial only, it will dispense water and not steam. Please refer to the video in the link:

Yes, it will. It would take a complete re-set to reverse your selection.
