Hello, can you froth milk without heating it up? So have cold milk with froth?
1 answer
No. A jet of steam is what is used to froth the milk. You need heat to create steam.
Cold frothed milk would require a mixer to manually stir the milk - search 'milk frother' on Amazon.

How do I slow down the time to make a coffee to the cup I see from the internet the flow to the cup should be about 30-40 seconds but I cant get past 18seconds what can I do to extend the time

If your coffee was't designated as Espresso coffee, it might be too coarse of a grind and water would just run through it.
I don’t know the coffee I purchased says suitable for espresso machine, and I have tried (bought ground coffee); and( beans)as I have a good grinder.
It is like the delonghi dedica is set to 18 seconds and nothing I do can change this setting.
I like this small machine as I am the only person who drinks coffee in the house.
I would appreciate some help

My Delonghi coffee maker EC685 does nothing when I follow the instructions to descale it. How can I get past this?
2 answers
If you search (use google as much as I dislike it) 'delonghi dedica descale' and follow the delonghi how to or 'goat toaster 9' tutorials on YouTube you should be well on your way. I thought the instructions included in the packaging were a bit double dutch initially.
The Oracle has a bit of a fault fixer for the 680 model if there are problems after descale. If no satisfaction after following instructuctions take it back to the shop. I hope this helps.
Thank you, will will look that up. I could follow the instructions that came with the machine but the machine did not react according to the instructions. A tutorial sounds like just the thing!

After 3 months I did the descaling process with the provided Kit, but after that the descaling, the yellow alarm light is not turning off. I did the descaling a second time and still the light is on. I resetted the cofee machine as per manual procedure but the light is still on.
Can you help me?

Sounds like the machine has developed a fault. It's under warranty, take it back and ask for a refund and buy a good machine. The one Aldi had on sale for $299 is a far far better machine for less money.

Sorry no idea but I wouldn't expect it to last. Take it back under warranty.

Hi everyone, I just bought this machine last week and I have problems frothing the milk. It produces large bubbles and I've already tried to remove the pannarello wand as suggested in previous posts but when I start to froth the milk, the rubber thing that froths the milk pops out! My machine is just new so I know it doesn't need to be descaled. Any suggestions on how to solve this? Has this happened to anyone?

Hi Guys, I have just purchase this coffee machine. As this is my first ever, I am not sure whether it is meant to make this loud noise? When preparing coffee it has a loud "vibrating/shaking" sound before it starts pouring, when it starts pouring the sound is different and slightly less noisy. Advice?

Just purchased a Delonghi Dedica Deluxe EC685. I have the impression (in comparison to other machines) that the cup warmer gets hardly warm. How warm should it get and how long should it take for it to warm up?
3 answers
Mine seems to take an age to warm up, so I don't really bother with it. My machine is permanently in standby, so when I want to make coffee I press the round "cup" button on the top, which for the lights to go steady, then pull the shot. Then I froth the milk, pour and enjoy my coffee. The machine switches itse;f back to standby after a few minutes.
Correct, the cup warmer takes forever. To compensate for this shortcoming I chafed the setting of temp. to HIGH
Get cup. Press the double esp button without coffee ie just water. Repeat this process & leave to the side. Now you can make your coffee and empty your hot water from the cup which is warm. Magic

I am not sure I am using the steamer properly as all I get is hot diluted milk YUK! any ideas?
6 answers
Make sure you have pressed the 3rd butt for steam and turned the round knob onto steam side of machine
Also ensure you go up and down whilst keeping nozzle in jar to get a good creamy froth
Once you have pressed the steam button wait untill the light has stopped flashing before turning the steamer knob

I bought this model some months ago at Amazon. Some days ago the orange light on the steam button started blinking. Following the instructions I ran a descaling using the EcoDecalk Delonghi product. However, the orange ight keeps blinking. Can you please tell me what the problem could be? My product is still under warrantee. Thanks a lot for your support.

Sorry I'm not so sure. This may sound silly - but have you actually unplugged and turned it on/off again? That might help.
Otherwise go through the whole setup process again? Hope that helps.
Thank you. In fact I repeated the whole process once again and this time it worked. What I still don't understand though is that the machine needed a descaling after hardly some months since I bought it and although I use soft water.
Try setting the water quality setting on your Dedica to Soft. (see instructions) Hopefully that will mean it will ask you to descale less often?

I got this coffee machine a week ago and when using the steamer it makes a very loud pumping noise, it that normal? It there a problem with the pump?
3 answers
I have the same issue. Did you get an answer to this?
That seems normal. Pumping in a small unit sounds like it's thumping, but all good.
The pumping noise of my steamer in forthing milk mode is also noisy. Like hell. And doesnt make any foam.
Just blowing my ears and worming the milk.
There is an answer for it?
