Fantastic Machine!
Purchased this machine less than a month ago and am nothing but happy with it. The coffee that it makes rivals even professional barista made coffees. The only tricky part is getting used to the different settings and programming your favourite brew. The Temperature of the coffee made is also great and hot enough.

Fantastic coffee machine - the best -love De longhi coffee machines
This is the third coffee machine we have owned. Started off with Krupps $2400 machine. Looked brilliant, but had lots of problems. The repair company said the De longhi's were the most reliable and easiest to repair.
We purchased an earlier similar model to the Eletta.
It made fantastic coffee we drink 8-10 coffees a day.
After 2.5 years and around +-5,000 coffees the water heater died..The first problem we had. Luckily we had taken extended warranty. They exchanged the old model for a new Eletta..
Virtually the same top quality, reliable ...Read more

Great espresso, could easily compete with the local cafe.
Love, Love, Love this machine. We don't drink milk based coffee so the espresso has to be perfect. This machine produces a coffee just like you would buy from a cafe. It took some time to get the right grind but it works like a dream now. We needed to play around with lots of different blends and have finally found one from a local cafe.
The machine is very simple to use, and very easy to clean.
And it looks very stylish on the bench.
Couldn't be happier.

Love this machine
Great machine, had it 8 months, easy to use, easy to clean. Has temperature and grind adjustment. Makes very good froth. Like any machine the coffee is great when you get the beans and the settings to suit your taste. My visitors comment on how good the coffee is. Highly recommended glad I spent the money.

Purchased this machine 4 months ago to replace pod machine (Pods = Landfill) Could not be happier. Those that say the coffee is not hot enough should read the manual and be patient. The instruction book and accompanying DVD make the learning process easy. Cannot fault easy to clean and descale. Easy to fill, easy to empty grounds and great coffee. We are using locally roasted beans.

Love it
We bought this coffee machine a few months ago. It is very easy to use. Has a good size water container, which is accessible from the front. Coffee is hot enough. I especially love a latte in the morning. The machine makes a good froth. We always buy good coffee beans and the coffee tastes excellent.

Just short of two years thinking about replacing it with a better brand.
Its only been just under two years now since I purchased my Eletta, It was great for over one year. them it started needing a De scale every two or three weeks, The Creamer is on its last legs won't froth now just makes warm milk so the machine wont make a cappuccino anymore automatically and that's what we got it for. This is not a cheep machine. It never made hot coffee apart from Cappuccino's just luke warm coffee shots. going to shot it out and purchase a manual machine of a different brand. Just wouldn't recommend it.

I love De longhi
I had a different make of coffee machine for 11 years and was looking for something similar.
The De longhi is better than the similar I was looking for.
The instruction booklet is easy to follow and you have the choice of auto or manual milk frothing, plus many other options.
Adjustable grind for me was just perfect. Excellent temperature.
Only takes a few minutes to clean and refill and not cumbersome.
Auto on is great in the mornings, then you can Auto off if needs be.

DELONGHI ELETTA CAPPUCCINO ECAM45760W
Purchased this machine a week ago:
1. I got white really lovely
2. Nice looking machine all the bells and whistles
3. the coffee IS NOT HOT it does not even reach 50 degrees in a mug even having the cup heated and rinsing the water through the machine. I may as well drink hot water from the tap it is hotter. Delonghi I would have expected better from an italian made machine and am very disappointed and waiting for Delonghi to get back to me. Considering the $1,990 cost - don't buy it.

Great machine
I previously had an expensive manual Neopolitan machine. After about 14 years it finally was not cost effective to repair. I looked at many machines including refurbished professional machines. Eventually I settled on the DeLonghi Eletta Cappuccino machine. I would suggest making a few cups of coffee you intend to waste to get used to the machine and set it up how you like. The coffee seems just a little bitter out of this machine and temperature is a little to cold unless you pre heat the cups and run a rinse cycle directly prior to making a ...Read more
coffee. Alternatively you can manually froth the milk to get temperature right. It heats up quick from turn on which is great. About a minute and a half. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and I'll be trying some different coffee beans to find some that don't have the bitterness. I had to change about to find the right beans for my taste for my last machine too. Edit: After adjusting grinder to finest grind the slightly bitter taste disappeared.1 comment

Incentive to buy
Rated only ok because of the poor service and non receipt of a $100 cash rebate promised following purchase. In spite of many contacts and Delonghi saying the rebate is on its way, I'm still waiting after 4 months. David Jones were the seller and they are not interested in helping in spite of there promoting. They ignored my contact.

Good coffee, easy to use and no mess.
Upgraded from a manual machine and we are really pleased with coffee quality and the ease of use. And no more mess! Once you spend the time customising the setup for your own taste and cup sizes, it really is a simple one button job to make a good coffee. As with pretty much all auto machines, the milk from the auto frother isn't terribly hot, but it's not supposed to be, is it? The variety of coffee types, settings and customisation makes it a good machine for nearly every taste. Auto on is a good feature, the machine is up and ready in the morning waiting to deliver your first hit of the day!
Really like this machine.

Excellent machine
Consistant performance, great coffee, very reasonable price. Easy to clean, simple to use. I replaced a Jura with this machine and I am very happy. Takes a while to get the hang of programming, but all in all much better than my previous Saeco and Jura brands. Large coffee hopper and water container does not need constant filling.

NO steam!
Just packing our third Delonghi machine and first Eletta, that have ALL for some reason STOPPED making steam at around 2000 cups! NOT happy, with us now having all the inconvenienece of packing and sending for fix or replacement. Thank god for the Harvey Norman extended warranty. I think we'll be going to another brand now!

This Product is not good
Expensive machine, delivering cold coffee ( not hot enough) while setting on highest temperature, I used cheaper coffee machines before buying that one with better coffee taste, and hot enough with better taste.

Makes good coffee but expensive.
Makes good coffee, especially the milk based one (latte's, capaccinos etc). The milk carafe is particularly well thought out, easy to use and keep clean.
It's pretty quiet, easy to clean and seems well made.
The only negatives are that it is a little bulky, and the coffee it produces is good, but not great. I've had cheaper machines that make better coffee (particularly the Sunbeam EM9600).
And this machine is quite expensive by comparison - triple what my old Saeco and Sunbeam cost. But those previous machines also didn't last, so we shall see whether this has been money well spent.

Just an update. the machine has a minor fault whereby it doesn't warn you when the beans container is empty, it just continues trying to grind (non existant) beans.
I contacted DeLonghi Customer Service and they were absolutely no help whatsoever.... Read more
Just thought I'd let everone know that while the machine may be good, DeLonghi customer service is pretty much useless and non existent.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love it
Purchased from Harvey Norman in white. Took us a bit to get the hang of it but we are now happily loving our machine. A few minor issues for example the Coffee grounds always needs to be empty even when there is only one cups worth in it. We found that when you heat the cups properly and do a pre rinse the coffee comes out hot where as if you dont its only warm. Produces a good quality coffee!!

Questions & Answers
Alyson W.asked
Hi we just bought this machine but the coffee just drips out I.e doesn't flow. Is this normal?
1 answer
Cheryl B.DeLonghi
Hi Alyson, perhaps check what grind and aroma setting you have the machine on if the grind setting is too low a number the grounds will be too fine stopping the water from pouring through the coffee and if the aroma setting is on max as well as the coffee being too fine it will stop the coffee from pouring smoothly.
The grind control is the numbered dial inside the bean container.
Hope this helps let me know how you go.

Hi I am having issues with the buttons on my machine.
Unless I keep my finger on the button for the entire process it stops - even if it has already started pouring coffee into my cup.
I have lost countless amounts of ground coffee and it is getting frustrating!
Any ideas on what may be causing this issue?

owest number on the dial ) and to its hottest setting. The menu set to long and strong then press the cappuccino button. Makes a good strong cappuccino in a small mug. The beans I'm using are reasonably cheap. Caffe Aurora Medaglia Doro Espresso beans (not the italian blend). I rinse the mug with hot water first and get a beautiful strong and smooth cappuccino and Latte.
