Love it
I have a super easy, completely automatic coffee machine that broke just over a year after purchasing. I replaced it with this. It was a little tricky to work out to begin with, but it runs so smoothly. I couldn't do without it now! And my toddler is loving babychinos made with it too. Got to love coffee machines

DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM0411X
Put in the DeLonghi Magnifica which your system said had been replaced by the Magnifica S; there are two separate machines as far as I am aware....purchased a week ago. I bought the Magnifica and not the Magnifica S because I needed a black machine to go on black marble and didn't want this large machine to take over the kitchen. Looks good. The guide that came with it is not great, how to adjust the temperature of the water was addressed but not fully, online they had a video which told you how to change the factory settings which are at 2...Read more
rather than 4 ie the hottest. Like I do not have to grind the beans and clean the containers on a daily basis but tired of putting in water after three days when only make one cup a day, although have to add to the cup that I make as it is small but couldn't use the 2 cup facility because it made too much. Glad I read other reviews to ensure I put a glass under the spouts to collect water otherwise the container in the base would be overflowing probably every 3 days. They really should tell you to add the glass in their instructions...really..and the instructions that came with the product are different to the ones printed out from online... September 28th 2018 Update: Water not that hot Really good, grinds coffee beans, makes the coffee. So glad all I do is have one a day, otherwise I would be constantly refilling the water container (contains 1.7L) and emptying the coffee grounds more than once a week. The water is not hot enough (have it set at top temp), so the coffee is not hot enough; have followed all the instructions (those online were not in the guide that came with it; they seem to have a different written guide on line cf what came in the box, confusing, but its the videos that only contained how to adjust the water temperature up it would seem they have reissued them or the ones in the box are older/newer but no better). The other issue is the serving size is too small. Lke a long black, have got it set to a full cup, but its a smaller serving than I am used to, so have to push the water button within 3 seconds and keep holding it in to get a larger serve....annoying. I would have gone up to the next model but my kitchen is black marble, and so needed this version in the black; the other model only seemed to have come in silver unfortunately, not sure that would have fixed those two issues. The four stars are for the convenience.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love my Magnifica, but very noisy
I use my coffee machine just about daily, and on the weekends it really gets a workout. It produces great tasting coffee, i find it really straightforward to froth milk using the steam wand and a stainless steel jug. The only downside is the machine is horrendously loud during operation. Making a coffee early in the morning with other members of the household still sleeping is a nightmare because of it.
Oh, and I bought mine refurbished by a coffee machine dealer on eBay. I chose delonghi due to good reputation and an abundance of spare parts online, so if it ever breaks I should be able to fix it easily enough as I'm handy with a screwdriver.

Good coffee machine
We bought this in replacement of the pod machines! Love it, just don’t like the turn nob to steam the milk it’s really annoying and it sometimes feels like it’s too much of an effort to even make a coffee because of the steaming milk function. However easy to clean and filters last a while!

Great Coffee Every Time!
This is a very easy to use coffee machine that produces great coffee every time. An affordable machine that I have to rave about. Our machine gets used on average 4-8 times a day. The machine uses ground or whole beans and after a few practices, the milk froths just like a barista. Easy to clean and requires a descale around every 100th coffee. Once again, simple to descale, the machine does it itself. I recommend this machine to anyone who wants an affordable, easy to use machine. I just need to teach the kids to use it so they an make me a coffee!

Love this coffee machine!
Purchased this coffee machine last year from the good guys and love it. I had another DeLonghi before this one and it was good as well. This machine is so easy to use, easy to keep clean, easy to understand the manual and makes a good cup of brew (no more burnt coffees from the cafes) DeLonghi's warranty is great and they have always been available to answer any questions that come up. They have even offered a number of times when I was having issues with my frother to come out and fix it and at the same time give me some lessons on how to get ...Read more
the full benefits out of owning this machine. This machine even comes with us on our caravaning adventures and seems to draw people out from the smell of freshly ground coffee! I love this machine however it will be updated again in the near future as I would prefer to have a machine that is FULLY automatic (by this I mean do the milk frothing as well)Similar opinion? Just love it
Without a doubt this is the absolute best buyof 2018. I couldnt be happier. The machine is so simple to use, easy to clean and looks great. Ive used a pod machine for the last few years and thought it was good, which it was. The new machine however is fantastic. Sure it cost a bit more but it is so worth it. If you love good coffee you will love this machine!

A Little Disappointed
We replaced our trusty and beloved Delonghi coffee machine about six months ago with this machine due to age. Despite many attempts to de-calcify this machine, the calcification red light keeps on flashing and have asked with the same machine and understand this is common. And despite making adjustments to the grinder, the coffee's just aren't as good as the ones coming out of old machine.

Absolute Delight To Use
This is a wonderful machine. It looks beautiful and gives me a little thrill each time I use it. if is FULLY fully automatic meaning you just put you cup down and bingo! The machine takes care of everything in about 30 seconds you are looking at a steaming cup of coffee without lifting a finger. magic! I carefully researched and these are quite reliable despite their complex internals so I am expecting many years out of it.

Magnificent Manifica - We Love It
This really is the top of the line in automatic coffee makers. It is fully automatic like those ones in 7/11 except WE get to choose all the variables such as the actual coffee and grind fineness. It is every kids inspector gadget dream! We are used to it now but I reckon I drank way more coffee than is healthy in the first week just watching it run. We have experienced 100% reliability and expect it to keep running for years - we love it

Excellent Top Range Coffee Machine
This was a little birthday present to myself. My cousin had one so I know just how good these machines are. It is the top of the range from DeLonghi and it does it all. You literally get coffee at the push of a button. It takes care of everything. The whole process takes around 30 seconds. You have to do the milk your self but thats easy and kind of fun.. This is not cheap but its a real luxury.

Makes the best coffee
The coffee is delicious Amazing taste as it’s better than the cafes! The cappuccinos are so definitely delicious as friends and family says it’s the best coffee they ever had! The milk frothing is very easy to do and cleaning afterwards is very simple The maintenance of cleaning is very simple and very easy to use. it’s the best coffee machine I’ve had so far as I had at least three and this is one of the most tasty coffee I’ve had! I recommend everyone to buy this product!
Thanks,

solid unit, you need a dishwasher though
The coffee from these is definitely better than some other machines (ahem pods). It is a reliable mug each time as long as the removeable parts are kept free from debris and scuzz. It is basic to use and can be done from a machine-off state in about 4 whole minutes. The cleaning cycle is not to be skipped and I will recommend filtered water also. The beans tray does get full after 4-7 cups, but the hinge is very smooth and is not booby trapped so that's cool. ...So yeah if you like the look of it for your kitchen pick it up, but as the by-line mentioned having a dishwasher for the trays will be perfect.

Magnificent Magnifica
I'd owned the previous model of this coffee machine and was delighted with it so when the time came to buy a new one, it was always going to be one of these. It's definitely a slight upgrade but mainly due to the design and quietness of this model.
After a few slight adjustments the coffee tastes amazing and it's a breeze to operate. I'd recommend this machine to anyone who wants to make excellent coffee at home.

Coffee is weak, not to my taste
The coffee is weak and not for people who like strong Italian coffee, it is very simple to use and easy to clean. I am not sure why it has weak coffee but the machine does seem to be working perfectly, I change the coffee grind maybe alright without milk, but I do like milk in my coffee

This does the job and our Aldi coffee tastes great
My husband loves using this machine. It's easy to use. Easy to clean and produces perfect coffee. This is our second Delonghi Magnifica. Our first died a natural death. We have always used Aldi coffee and loved it. This new machine makes an even smother cup of coffee. We love it.

Caveat Emptor
I gave this 2 stars because although the Americanos made with this are fantastic, we have had five of the Magnifica machines over the years and all but one has quit working shortly after the one year warranty was up. The engineering to make these easy to use is impressive, but the manufacturing standards relegates these to the expensive consumer throw away scrapheap. We have spent appropriately $6500 over the last decade buying these machines and now, this morning, the latest one passed away. What now?

great coffee the way you want it
Make a great tasting brew (as long as you use your favourite beans). Set the grind to the way you like it and enjoy.
After a little familiarisation with the controls and the way it uses notifications on the front screen, your good to go.
Just keep up with the periodic descaling.

Makes good coffee but...
We have had our coffee maker for about two and a half years and have been relatively happy with it's performance, it is easy to use and makes a fair coffee (I like mine strong so have a double shot. But have had trouble with the grinder, it jammed the other day and I cleaned it out and all was good for a while but now it has failed altogether, I think the motor has burned out which for a 2 year old machine is not good. I made enquiries for another grinder unit but found out they have discontinued production of that model. I probably would not buy another Delonghi Magnifica.

When too much great coffee is never enough!
We are into week four of our new DeLonghi Magnifica coffee machine are very happy with it so far. We tweaked the grind settings marginally and have settled on what we believe to be a perfect cup of coffee every time we use it. Visitors also remark on how enjoyable their coffee is. The only problem is that they often ask for a second cup and we're going through more beans then ever!

Court Mitchasked
Hi there. Have had this machine for just over a month. Makes a great coffee- however, the steam wand runs out of puff if I do milk in the jug for 2 coffees. Or make one coffee with milk then make another coffee a couple of minutes later. Is there some recovery time on the steam wand or have we got a faulty machine? Very frustrating if we have people over to not be able to make multiple coffees with milk.

I’m just gonna ask the obvious mate, did you check the water tank has enough water in it? I’ve had the problem of the steam wand running out of puff a number of times and it was always due to there not being enough water in the tank
Hi Marc. Yep enough water and waiting for the flashing steam button to stop. Maybe I’ll try it with a totally full water tank?

Hi I have a DeLonghi Magnifica S ECAM22110SB about 2.5years old, always descale, but now when we turn it on, it goes thru its usual cycle of starting up, spits out water from the 2 sprouts, and when itys ready to go to the next cycle of starting, it just trips out and trips the whole power in the house
what can we do

Can u use a de longhi magnifica coffee machine without using a water filter
1 answer
Cheryl B.DeLonghi
Hi Maria,
Absolutely! The water filter is designed to help the flavour and the hardness of the water. So if you are using already filtered water or are in a location that has very soft water its okay not to use the filter. The machine will still work without it.
