Easy clean cleaner
Not our first Dyson and not the last. We did stray and tried another bagless brand but clogged too easy. Dyson kinetic with no bags or filters at all is a great step and easy to clean.
The new styled connectors are easier than previous models and comes with a handy adapter so you can use the older accessories.

Filter blocks faster then the canister.
I clean a doctors building and the cord is too short, good thing it rolls back to position when tired over. The filter gets blocked faster then the canister, i need to empty too many times. It didn't come with a hard floor brush, so using the power head on the hard floor doesn't get into smaller spaces which means I need to bring my home vacuum in to clean thoes areas. Had others come into work with me and they all complain about the vacuum.

Could not be happier!!! Amazing product
The suction on my Dyson is amazing. It's super light. Works great on my vinyl and carpeted floors and goes straight from one to the other without changing and settings. Also found out that if you already have a Dyson that is out of production (not being made anymore) if you contact Dyson you can get a really good discount on your new Dyson. Kind of like a "trade in" except you get to keep the old one

My wheels fell off too !
The vacuum works ok but Paying $799 the wheel should not break off after 9 months ! Told it is a common problem where the machine heats up and melts the plastic components. I was only offered it to be repaired not replaced. Anyway if i did get a new replacement the wheels will probably fall off again. I don't believe it is worth the extra money! It may be due to Hype and good advertisement to command such a price.

Easy, flexible and full of convenience!
Living in a 1 bedroom unit with a partner that is prone to allergies we purchased the Dyson Big Ball Allergy.
Use on carpet which is 80% of the unit is fantastic and thorough, easy to use with the big ball that follows you where to go. The extendable Arms are the easiest I've used - push buttons to release the hold - fantastic! Use on tiles equally as efficient and easy.
The tools that come with are again the best I've used. Fantastic for annoying tasks like cleaning the car - all those nooks and crannies are easily managed and reached with...Read more

Totally happy. Use it over all types of floors weekly. Clean it every time I used it and hence suction is "spot on" The see through cylinder catch was distorted on delivery and became a bit of a problem. heated it up gentle and slightly reformed it. So Far So Good

Great but......
Easy to manoeuvre until one of the wheels broke off. Expensive machine needs a bit of Twerks in terms of aesthetic functionality. The power head and floor heads are a bit ordinary. They don't cover a very big space and I seem to have to go over the same area. Bagless great. Must empty every clean to keep it optimal.

It just keeps moving the dirt around on our hardwood floors. So disappointed.
I have the same problem as Maria. My husband can't stand this vacuum as he said it just moves the dirt around on the floor. I am just in the middle of vacuuming now and I am so incredibly frustrated hence why I have taken the time to write this review. It now takes me twice as long to vacuum. I was reading Maria's review and like her, wasn't aware of the difference between the balls otherwise I would have chosen the correct one for hardwood floors. My entire house is timber floors. How do I get an attachment for the Allergy Ball vacuum that is suitable for hardwood floors.

Lives up to expectations
This is the first Dyson product I have ever purchased and I have to say I'm glad I chose this vacuum cleaner.
It is so easy to use - it has great manoeuvrability and it has great suction too. It is so light compared to my old vacuum cleaner. It's also great to clean and empty, no messing around with bags and cleaning filters. There are also a lot of extra attachments for different cleaning jobs. all really useful. Love it !!

Disappointed
Very disappointed in this vacuum. It is so loud on hard floors, the head doesn't follow walls very easily and most of all it doesn't pick up all the dirt or larger bits on hard floors. What use to take me 20mins to vacuum it now takes me an extra 10-15 because I have to keep going over the same spots to pick it all up. It's like the head rotates to fast and spits the dirt out. At times you can feel it hit your feet. On the other hand it is good on carpet, I am so disappointed that for $800 the technology is meant to advance not get worse.

Hi Maria,
I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with pickup on hard floors. ... Read more
Due to it's low inlet at the front, the turbine head may push bigger debris across the floor, however we don't anticipate you'd have any troubles with the Swivel Hard Floor Tool which is included with the Cinetic Big Ball Animal. I would recommend for you to give this tool a try, and if you have any further concerns, please email [email protected] and we will be happy to help. Best wishes, Shan Facebook.com/dysonMy apologies, I have brought the big ball allergy.

Brand New Dyson Cinetic Big Ball - Wheel falls off
Yes, the wheel issue happens to me as well. I've got a new Dyson Cinetic Big Ball vacuum cleaner and as I took the vacuum out of the box the wheel fell off. Not sure, if Dyson is aware of this wheel issue with this particular model. I've contacted Dyson Customer Care and I have been advised that this wheel issue is NOT normal but it looks like a common issue with this model as many other people has the same issue.

The wheel has fallen off twice!!!!!!
I bought this $800 vacuum as my son has allergies. As i took the vacuum out of the box the wheel fell off. It was brand new! So i returned it and it took them 2 weeks to send me a new vacuum. After about 3 months the same thing happened.... the wheel fell off. So again i sent the vacuum back and it took 2 weeks for them to repair it and send it back. Imagine not vacuuming the house for 2 weeks. And the Customer Service staff never apologised.
Poor quality for such an expensive vacuum.

Rubbish, no feel and ruins short pile carpet
It is absolute rubbish.
The head and stem is light giving no feel.
The head has damaged my short pile carpet.
It doesn't suck up much. Especially animal fur. I have a long haired cat and a short haired dog and it gets like less than 50% of it. I have better luck with a first generation Dyson stick.
It is damn near impossible to empty the tiny barrel thing. It doesn't hold much.
It tips.
The customer service for Dyson has gone to merde too. I have complained several times and requested my money back and I'd give them their 'vacuum' back a...Read more

Dyson Cinteic Big Ball Allergy doesnt pick up dirt
I had problem of this vacuum cleaner not picking up the dirt properly after few use and nearly gave up on the vacuum cleaner. I recently found a quick fix for my problem. All I had to do was to remove the dirt off the brushhead. Works the charm now!

Wheels break for a second time . Not happy Jan!
The first ever Dyson which was given to me as a gift from my sister whom had a dyson for many years was a great surpirse, but as we opened the box the wheel fell off, so we took it back. The company replace the vacum with out question which was great. 4 months on the same thing has happened again, the wheel cover has broken off. It is the same issue as before you can see the molding has snapped inside were it was connected. I feel this come down to poor design. Looking through the reviews I am not the only person this has happen too.

Bad if you have allergies
I have had this machine for 1 month now and every time I use it it makes me sneeze as I use it. I have to take it outside to empty it because when I empty it the dust goes everywhere. It is also difficult to close. The motorised head pushes the dirt around as much as it sucks it up. This is the first time I have bought a Dyson and it will be the last.

Best vacuum ever
I am very happy with my new Dyson. It is easy to use and clean and much lighter than my old vacuum. It does a great job on both the carpet and hard floors as well as the car. The only negative thing I can say about my new Dyson was the price, a bit stenep for a vacuum cleaner

Disappointed
I am a Dyson user for over 10 years and loved their products, so have decided to upgrade to the latest Cinetic Big Ball, but after purchasing and using it, I am quite disappointed with the new range. The suction isn't as strong as the other range and models I have and although the barrel is nice and compact, the head tool isn't. The "ball" attached to the head tool for ease of use is extremely giant and bulky and I can not longer vacuum under crevices that I used to can with their older models. That same ball bit also leave marks on my floorboa...Read more
rds when reaching under my couch or under crevices that the ball allows me to go under. It is also difficult to vacuum on rugs as the motion of the turbine heads when going forward will cause friction while trying to vacuum back and forth. The latch for the bin compartment is also really weak and comes undone easily when detaching it from the machine which drops all the waste onto the machine itself and the floor. Besides that, the wheel broke off with less than 2 months use. Brought it back to the store for a replacement, but only used it once before the wheel broke off that too. I am now put off with the Cinetic Big Ball range and probably Dyson altogether now.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

We have a dyson cinetic big ball allergy ... the power head has just stopped working. We have dismantled and reassembled the head and there are no blockages and there are no blockages in the machine. It still has good suction, just the power brush is not working. Any ideas?

I have a Dyson 214891-01 Cinetic Big Ball Allergy Barrel Vacuum and recently bought a Dyson 920018 Swivel Hard Floor Attachment, but it does not fit my vacuum! This is despite it being advertised as "fits all models except DC01, DC21 Motorhead, DC23 Motorhead and cordless models". Is there an adapter to make it fit?

Hi Rain,
Thank you for your query.
In the box included with your Cinetic Big Ball machine at time of purchase, there is an adaptor included to allow use of accessories purchased at store. You can see it in use here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGAgc2Cw6wg

Dyson machines are designed for residential use rather than for commercial use, though some cleaners do use our machine for this purpose. Hence the power cord is designed for the smaller space in a home. The turbine head on this machine is designed with a spinning brush which is specifically designed maximize the pick up of hair, please contact us regarding alternative head with a flatter profile, suitable for this machine to get under low lying furniture. The filter in the Cinetic Big Ball Allergy is not accessible, and requires no washing or maintenance. Many other machines do have a washable filter however.
