Dyson Cinetic Big Ball

Love my Dyson, had the opportunity to upgrade and had no hesitation of buying another dyson. Dont have to deal with changing messy bags, just empty straight into the bin. the suction is great and never have to go over and over with the vacuuming. my job has been made so much easier

AMAZING

Suction is so powerful its crazy, picks up absolutley everything and comes with heaps of different heads which makes it good to adapt to different floor types. There is a thin head that I use on my bamboo floors and it does no damage or scratching and leaves the floors pristine

Dyson Cinetic - it should be better!!

published

We bought the Animal Pro two months ago to replace our old 12 year old Dyson. We are brand loyal to Dyson so we were always going to replace it with another one. Unfortunately if I had my time again I wouldn't go top of the line and probably would have got the Big Ball Origin or DC37C Origin. I think the "Cinetic" is really just marketing hype!! This vacuum is really no better than our 12 old year DC11. Having said that, it works well and picks up most dirt and without comparing to other vacuums, I suspect it works better than most, but I would not spend the top $ getting top of the line - just get the DC37 or Big Ball origin!

A great vacuum if you got the money

published

The dyson Cinectic is actually louder than expected as it has a spinning turbine head. It picks up dust, cat hair and crumbs so well that even dust I can't see gets sucked in and I wonder how the heck did the rug have that much dust! It is super easy to manoeuvre as it has flexible head. The wealth of accessories that came with it is great for the car or the mattress. Very powerful and worth every penny.

Love my Dyson Animal Pro

published

I love the suction on this machine. It does a great job of picking up the dust, dirt and dog hair.
I usually have to empty it after each clean and sometimes twice if the house is particularly dusty or hairy, but I don't mind as I know it's getting the job done! I still need to work out what all the attachments do, but the one to get the dog hair off the furniture is great and is used all the time.
Am very happy with my purchase.

One feature I really love is the low profile head for cleaning hard wooden floors. I can get under the lounge, tv Cabniet and beds I also love how it swivels. I also love the attachments which make it great for cleaning dusty lamp shades and bed heads.

It's so easy to push around
The suction is amazing
It's very quiet
It's still relatively new so I'm not to sure about the durability, but so far I am very happy.

At the moment I really can't fault it.
Great on carpet and hard floors.

I never thought I'd say I don't mind vacuuming. It fulfilled all expectations.

I tried all types of floors, and the fur that I didn't even know was there miraculousily appeared. I previously thought it was clean! Would recommend definitely, you'll be amazed how much you get & how dirty your house really is! I now give it extra days between the next cleaning.

I use it on all my floors; lino, carpet and tiles. It sucks up cobwebs. It's easy to store and light weight to use. I don't have to pay money for bags. After 2 years its suction is as good as the day i bought it. As a product I'm extremely impressed and happy and would purchase any Dyson in a heart beat. It is a quality product.

Not worth

I think My cheap one from electrolux do better suction power than dyson animal pro with expensive accessories I would suggest go for a good brand but cheaper price. I will not recommed this one at this high price. It is easy to empty the barrel user friendly but not worth the money

Very good vacuum cleaner

published

I'm happy with the performance and Suction. It is not a quiet cleaner but is easy to manoeuvre and relatively light. We have a 4 bedroom 18sq house on one level with carpet, tiles and hardwood floors. The main issue I have is that the power button is not on the handle but the barrel. I find this inconvenient because the last Dyson I had was an upright and the power button was more easily accessible. I would prefer also that I could switch from carpet to floor boards without having to change heads.

As a vacuum this machine is great!

published

As a vacuum this machine is great the down fall is emptying the drum/ barrel. It doesn't always open and it doesn't always want to shut. End up having to vacuum this area again after it's emptied. Having said that, I'm impressed with the level of suction this vacuum has and how the hard floor attachment can move to do your skirting board at the same time.

Amazing machine!

Super easy to use and works brilliantly! The different heads are useful since the house is near a busy road and two dogs live in it. Love the fact that it's so easy to empty & clean the canister and no extra bags need to be purchased. Very light weight and easy to maneuver.

Decent sucking power and very easy to clean

published

Owned an old and big motorhead before, it was the time to update to the latest version. Dyson Cinetic Big Ball is using "air" head instead of motorhead now, but the sucking power is more than enough for my carpet floor.
Animal Pro come with several handy tools which is a better buy over the multi-floor or Harvey Norman's Absolute versions.

Advertised as good, real world use feels cheap

published

The performance of this vacuum is great, it sucks so much dirty from carpets and floors makes them look great, the vacuum is very loud though if you are using the carpet accessory the spinning tool makes lots of noise in addition to the loud noise of the vacuum.

The vacuum is easy to maneuver although the vacuum struggles to go over it’s cable if it has to, the hose attachement is weird as it comes out of the vacuum and goes into another part and a part of it is always touching the floor so you can’t put it flat on the floor which is very annoying.

Please be aware this vacuum does not work on big furry carpets it does nothing and it absolutely useless it works on flat ones, I use it on wooden floors, carpets and tiles.

I love it, it is a must have hor evey home

published

I bought it last year from Harvey Norman, using it to vacuum carpart every week. It is perfect for cleaning hair, I thought my carpart is very clean, but actually it's not. It is very easy to use, very easy to clean. If you are thinking to buy a vacuum, buy this!

Date PurchasedOct 2016

Don't buy it

published

I am so disappointed with this vacuum. It doesn't pick up - just pushes dust around - both on the hard floor and carpet. In order to pick up anything, I have to take the head off and use it without the 'head'; but even then, the suction is very poor. This is my second Dyson and I will not be buying another. I feel that my house is filthy because I know that the carpets and hard floors are not being properly cleaned - only used the vacuum three times since purchasing in mid May 17 - keep going back and using my 'old' vacuum because it just works.

Cinetic Big Ball Animal Pro

We’ve had our Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Pro for about 2 years now and have just moved from a place that had wall to wall carpet, to a place that has no carpet and newly-installed hardwood floors. Three questions: 1 & 2. What are the wheels on the unit itself made from and are they ok to pull along the hardwood floor without scratching at all? 3. What are the best tools to use as not to scratch the floor? Thanks!

1 answer
Dyson
Dyson Team ..Dyson

The wheels on your Dyson Cinetic Big Ball machine are made of plastic, with a softer plastic tip on the sides.

While we don't anticipate any difficulties, we would encourage ensuring the wheels are clean prior to use.

For the most delicate cleaning of hard floors, we would encourage using the Swivel Hard Floor Tool, included with your Big Ball Animal Pro.

If we can assist further, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Dyson Experts via [email protected]. Alternatively, if you are not in Australia, please visit www.dyson.com and press "Contact Us" for the local contact information of the Dyson helpline in your area.

Our power head was accidentally taken over a smelly liquid on the floor and now the brush head smells, can we wash it?

I’m no expert just someone who purchased one recently. Pretty sure the Dyson rep said not to submerge it in water when washing it. I hunk get said he usual damp cloth wipe over. You probably should actually call Dyson and ask them in case there’s electrical stuff in the head that’ll get damaged if wet. Such a pain that this has happened to you. I hope you manage to get it sorted out ok! Goodluck!

Dyson
Dyson Team ..Dyson

Hi Amanda,

The Turbine head for your machine does not have any electrics as it is driven by the air of the machine, that being said we do not recommend completely submerging the head in water as if not completely dry when used again it will damage the machine.

Try using a damp cloth and if the smell remains please call our helpline on 1800 239 766 with your machine handy.

Our helpline is open Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and on the weekend 8.30am-4pm.

Best wishes,

Sam
