Cyclone V10

I have a Dyson cyclone v10 and it’s a year old. It keeps blocking in the moveable part between the floor piece and the stick therefore no dirt is going into the cylinder for collection. I unblock it after every use but it happens time and time again. Any help? Thank you

My dyson V10 seems to auction but when you turn it off all the dirt falls out. We have checked everything for a blockage and don’t see anything blocked. Please help, my machine is only 1 1/2 yrs old.

Our Dyson dies after 10 seconds using it on max but will work fine on other settings? Just over a year old anyone else had this issue? So disappointed considering the money

I have the cyclone V10 motorhead model It no wont run it pluses and the symbol next to the charge light comes on. It almost looks like a u drain pipe symbol. What does that mean to me? I cleaned the filter and it still does it.

Thank you I finally found that online and discovered there was a blockage. I cleared it out and have used it once and then after that I constantly keep getting the pulsing on and off what would that be

My coal stove went all over my kids used the dyson now my filter now won’t clean and I’ve lost suction any suggestions how to clean it . Water is taking forever!

As the machine is not designed for picking up ash and extremely fine debris it is possible that the Cyclone is clogged as well as the filter.

To ensure this is resolved 100% we would recommend bringing the machine in to one of our service centres.

When I use the power button it works fine. When I release the power button it does not shut off. I have to manually pull out the Power button to turn it off. Not very handy at all. What’s up with that?

My Dyson has a sticker showing that you should not hold the power button down. It is uncomfortable to hold down whilst vacuuming but I can’t she how to vacuum without holding the button. Can you help?

To confirm, the machine is operated by holding the power button down, however we encourage the power button is not pressed while emptying the machine.

With the main attachment (wand and direct drive) it works fine and as expected. However if we attach the Crevice Tool or the Combination Toll it works for only 45 seconds then stops. This is even if it is fully charged. We put it back on the charger for a few seconds and it will work for 45 seconds to a minute again. I have check the tools for blockages but there are none.

As I said if I then put the main attachment on, it will work until the charge runs out (about 10 minutes on max) any help?

have you washed your filter? if no, wash and give it at least 2 days to dry properly before re-installing and if there is still a problem, call dyson customer care

I just received mine and I’ve only used it once. When it’s fully charged, it only works for 5 mins before it stops and the light indicators are telling me it needs to be recharged again. Please help. It’s brand new!!

To confirm, the V10 has three modes of suction; Max, mode two and mode one. With the motorised head attached the machine will provide up to 35 minutes on mode one, 20 minutes on mode two and 5 minutes on Max. Without using a motorised tool it can run up to 60 minutes on mode one, 30 minutes on mode two and 5 minutes on Max.

I got v10 total clean about an year ago .it s suction has gone too less on 2nd mode and in first mode it does not work .it goes in and off and shows blockage light .i cleaned everything but same .any recommendations?

Press the red button in and hold in and slide the tube down. They are a bit stiff when new.

I had a problem with the filter replacement warning lights remaining on after the filter was washed. In fact even when a brand new filter was installed (you really need a spare so that you can use the appliance whilst one filter is drying after being washed), the problem persisted. The Dyson engineer called and the warnings had gone and it was fine. I can only suppose that when the warning light was on, there was some sort of thermal cut-out and this was resolved after a few days inaction. Am I right ? I'm hesitating calling him out again.
