Well I have the Dyson cordless but can't find the model number any where on it. So I assume it is V10.
Anyway, I did charge the battery on it a month ago and it's been working great since then, until a week ago that it stopped working.
Here is what happens.
The charger charges, the battery seems fine. But When I press start, the 2 blue lights right above the battery blink on and go off when I lift my finger.
But the light around the max button always blinks 3 times with short pause and then it blinks 3 Tim mess again.
But the motor does not turn on.
Can you help?

I just received my V10 and was so excited to use it. I assembled as directed but the power button will not stay on and has to be held. Is this expected? Secondly, it runs for approximately five or six minutes then shuts off. This cant be right as no one could complete a task in five or six minutes! Please help? To get the most use out of the run time, the Dyson V10 machine will only run when the trigger is pulled. This ensures you are only using energy when you are cleaning.
In terms of run time, to confirm, the V10 has three modes of suction; Max, mode two and mode one. With the motorised head attached the machine will provide up to 35 minutes on mode one, 20 minutes on mode two and 5 minutes on Max. Without using a motorised tool it can run up to 60 minutes on mode one, 30 minutes on mode two and 5 minutes on Max.

I have a dyson animal v10 filter problem. Recently the filter indication came on and flashed but the filter had just been cleaned and was dry, the cleaner carried on working even though the filter light was flashing. This happened several times. The cleaner now pulses then stops. Everything is clean and dry and there are no blockages. Any idea how to fix the problem?

If the motor is stil pulsing there is a blockage somewhere else like in the head or the tube. If you have full power and the light is on, ir may need a reset, but you would have to Dyson how to do that.

I just had this same problem. I cleaned the filter and it was reinstalled correctly. There were no blockages that I could see until I looked into the rectangular hole on the right upper side of the collection cylinder. I stuck my finger in there and it was filled with dust and hair. I pulled it all out and there was quite a bit, and now its working fine. Hope my explanation helps.

Can I use the V11 Docking station to also charge my Cyclone V10.

While the V10 machine will fit in the V11 Dock, it won't fit securely as the V11 machine is slightly larger. Thus, we don't recommend using the V11 Dock to charge a V10 machine.

It is recommended you leave the machine on charge when not in use, even if you haven't fully used the battery. This will ensure it is always ready for your next cleaning session. Just purchased a Dyson V10 Absolute, when unpacked, we plugged in the charger to charge for the first time, but there is nothing happening, no light blinking or whatsoever, is it normal for the first time? Just the light of battery blinks red and that is it. Is it that dead ant it takes time to charge from 0 battery?

Hi Sharon, if the Dyson was fully charged when you took it off a week ago, it should still be fully charged.
The batteries should not discharge that quickly. If they do, their faulty and I would contact Dyson to discuss having a replacement battery sent out.
If your Dyson is fully charged and you plug it in, usually the lights goes off within a few second, at least for the V10.

A full charge from flat will take 5.5 hours, however if the machine isn't completely flat it won't take that long. When the machine is fully charged, all three LEDs on both sides will remain lit for a few seconds, then turn off to conserve battery power.

Hi . I just cleaned my filter . Was a 39 hot day so left it full sun for 5 hours . Lately it only runs for 3 mins on max before stops working . Is a v 10 . Also how long does it take to fully recharge . I always leave it charging in doc . Is this ok ?

Hi Jemma, Sorry i can't help you with the filter as i have only used my cleaner for a few weeks and haven't cleaned the filter yet. If used on the medium suction setting my cleaner runs for about an hour. Sorry not much help to you, hope someone else has some information.

Normally we encourage to let the filter dry for at least 24 hours to ensure there is absolutely no moisture in it. As long as the filter is completely dry, a shorter drying time is fine.

Sorry cant help - not had that problem - maybe filter still wet - manual says 24 hours to dry. Thats one of the reasons I dislike this vacuum so much. I get half way thru cleaning my house and the filter needs cleaning so to have to wait 24 hours before I can finish the job.
