It's not strong enough
I find out it's not as strong as Dyson. But it's easy to use. It vacuumed the floor and carpet. If you want something stronger maybe go for Dyson I don't really recommend for big family. Small family it's ok. Um it can vacuum the car as well. It s easy to clean the bag

Loved it at first
However after 6 months it started to lose its battery charge and instead of lasting 10 mins or more was only lasting 2 or 3 and after 18 months I had to throw it away and as it was $269 feel this is too expensive for the convenience. Lithium battery is the only way to go though 18v or more is a must

Had this for 20 months and it works just like new
I had this vacuum for nearly 2 years and the battery is still doing great job. A fully charged battery will get it runs for 30mins enough for me to clean up my 3 bed rooms house. Vacuum my kitchen with tile floor is so easy that the brush roller almost pickup all the tiny bits of rubbish or food left on floor.
I am happy with this product, I am glad that i didn't pay 3 times more for an expensive Dyson product which may still doing the same job great.

Battery wont keep charged
This product worked well for the first few months and did the job perfect was really rapped in the product but about a month ago I had noticed the battery wasn't lasting any longer than 2 mins,as I was given this item as a Christmas present, I'm now very disappointed that it hasn't lasted long at all considering it didn't get used every day I now feel the company should either replace the item or offer a refund to the customers who have purchased this item would love a new one but am thinking of going to another brand.

So easy to use
We bought our electrolux ergorapido sick vacuum for half price at a Harvey Norman end of year sale 18 months ago and couldn't be happier. I thought it was a bit extravagant initially as we already had a vacuum, but it's so handy and so quick and easy to use. Perfect for a quick spot clean before visitors arrive. We use it all the time and is one of the best appliances we ever bought.

Battery life good. Filter and dust capacity too small
Easy to move around but suction was be tad weak once the dust starts to fill the container. Emptying the dust can be depressing as I try to avoid getting in contact... using gloves, masks and goggles to empty this sucker... this is most annoying thing about bagless vacuum cleaners!

Good vacuum cleaner with sufficient battery life
Yes it isn't as good as the ones you get for Dyson, but for the price you're paying for, I think it's worth the compromise. Good suction and sufficient battery life for the whole unit, and the cordless function makes it a lot easier to manoeuvre around the housing unit.

Just stops working!
I liked it at first. It was light weight and has pretty good suction for just a daily cleaning between cleaning with a large vacuum on vinyl tile flooring. However, now it can only run for a few seconds and then shuts off entirely! I have purchased a new cord and base thinking that it would help, but sadly, it was just money wasted! My mother has one that works perfectly and loves. I had previously thought that mine was just a "lemon" but with the outstanding amount of reviews claiming the same problems, I don't think so. I wish that I had kept my old dirt devil when I received this one!

Life is too short!
Unit did a great job for about 15 months and you could not fault it. It was about then that battery life began to rapidly shorten. At about 18 months battery life had more than halved. Unit comes with a two year warranty BUT batteries are considered consumable and only come with a three month warranty. Warranty details state that new batteries can be purchased so I took it to the local Electrolux dealer in March 2017 and paid a $55 service fee. They had it for a week and quoted me more than I paid for the complete new machine, saying that the w...Read more
hole handheld piece needs to be replaced as batteries are not replaceable. I rejected the quote and continued to use the machine until it died completely in April still with 4 months left in the warranty period.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Just as well this product has been discontinued
We bought this product on 14 September 2014 and it performed really well, until about 4 weeks ago. Then it would only run for a minute or so and cut out. We had looked after it impeccably and so we were very surprised. I called Electrolux and learned it was out of Warranty because the warranty was for 2 years. They directed me to a service centre. I contacted 2 repair centres and learned from both of them that this product is renowned for the battery failing at around the 2 year mark. Our problem is also the battery. And unfortunately the batt...Read more
ery is within the handset, and its soldered in and very hard to get at and replace. I was told it's best to either buy a complete new handset at $170!!! or else replace the whole thing, i.e. buy a new one....unbelievable that Electrolux could have foisted this lemon of a product on to the market. Unfortunately, when ours was new and we were impressed, I persuaded 2 relatives, one being my aged aunt to buy one each. When theirs fail, which they will do shortly based on everything I've heard and my own experience, my aunt in particular will be very upset as she is on the Age Pension. It doesn't make sense to spend $170 on a replacement handset because as one service man said - "who knows - another part such as the charging unit might pack up next". So we have no choice but to replace this entire lemon. Electrolux has been making vacuum cleaners for a huge number of years - how is it that they couldn't design and manufacture this product properly? For sure we won't be buying another Electrolux product.3 comments

Words couldn't describe the performance of this cleaner
Purchased from THE GOOD GUYS 03/01/2015 ; when it actually runs its quite good but the problem is that it wont run for more than 5-10seconds at a time ; we are so angry at its performance that we refuse to use it ; it is without doubt that worst electrical appliance we have ever purchased

Terrible investment
I bought mine in January 2015 & by December 2015 it had an electrical fault, so it was replaced under warranty in January 2016.
By January 2017 I noticed the battery life was getting shorter & shorter until now when it will scarcely last 5 minutes, straight off the charger.
As the replacements are almost $100, I don't feel inclined to throw good money after bad.

Pretty good considering
The on/off button on the hand unit was always a bit funny. And would work intermittently. I put up with this for a long time but a few months before warranty was due, I took it in for a service. They thought they fixed it the first time but the problem continued. I took it back and Electrolux agreed to replace the hand unit. It has worked brilliantly ever since. Its basically a new machine now and works like one. I find its good for all light work. I use a bigger unit for some parts of the house.
I dont like the hand unit so much as the end isnt the right shape. I find it a bit awkward, its too square or something.
I would buy one again.

Not even 2 years old and it's not working.
I was really pleased with this as I am unable to use large vacuums. Unfortunately it isn't holding its charge longer than 10 seconds now. It's 2 years old in 2 months but considering what u pay it should last much longer. I had one previously without a lithium battery and was told this one would last longer not so!
April 4th 2017 Update: Electrolux Don't answer emails
I posted the review below last week and straight away Electrolux posted on the site to contact them care of their customer care. Guess what you don't hear anything back from them when you bother to send an email. They immediately respond so it looks good on site but then zilch contact.

Great vacuum, but short life.
I have had my vacuum cleaner for two years, and been very happy with it, and you don't expect rechargeable batteries to last much longer.
However for the original price, battery replacement is ridiculous, almost half the price.
Because of this I would not purchase another Electrolux. It's more to buy an electric one, my last vacuum a Vac Pak lasted 18 years Commercially and is still going.

Won't run.Probably due to battery charging problems. I've checked that power is getting to the remov
Very happy with it WHEN IT IS WORKING. Has failed after very limited period of use.Trouble is that now it starts but runs for only a couple of seconds. Possible that battery has residual charge.
PS Had an earlier model whose battery failed after a reasonable period. Made the mistake of ordering a replacement battery pack for about $100. Required the skills of a watchmaker plus others to install and eventually I just gave up.. Hard to believe that the company would sell such a pack to other than authorised service agents.

Buy and you'll be happy
Wow!what a surprise. This was bought as an extra so that I didn't have to get out the larger cleaner for a quick small job. To my amazement this picked up some dog's hair I did not know was there. Being able to take the smaller hand vac from the larger machine I was able to do windowsills easily. The battery charge lasted heaps longer than I expected which meant an extra area was done before needing a recharge. The hand held piece is great for the car cleaning. I could not be happier and so are the three friends who have purchased their own vac.Easy to handle on both carpet and tile floors. Try one to prove to yourself that what I have passed on is totally true

Easy to use
I have tiles floor all over in my house. The new 2 in 1 vacuum does a very good job in cleaning my 2 bedroom unit easily. It's handy and last for 20 mins when fully charged. I am very happy to have this vacuum anytime when there are some dirt.

Electrolux customer service - please respond here !!!
Where are you?
What are you going to offer all these unfortunate people?
What does your r&d department say?
Is it the lithium battery failing to hold any charge after 1-2 years?
Waiting for a response !!!

Replace the battery but it may need soldering skills. Battery cells can be found almost everywhere also see your model some may have 18650 lithium ion battery or similar before buy check details on your. Like voltage and mah. Type etc.. easy job on soldering.

Our unit quit after using it one day. Took it completely apart; full of hair & lint all up in the motor & circuitboard area. Cleaned it thoroughly & reassembled it. Put it on the charger stand; blue light comes on for about 3-4 seconds, then goes out. Checked the voltage from the charger base - 14.3 VDC, all they way up to the contacts on the stand. Opened up the hand-held unit again & checked both batteries - they read almost 4VDC. Unit won't run or charge. Any ideas???????
