Horrible product
Evo2 EndureThis stopped working in an year. It's in our pergola. Only switched to "show off" few minutes when friends come over. I can assure you that it's a cheap product sources from some Shanghai factory and sold to a hapless customer.
I regret every day about this purchase. Reading other reviews comforted me, because I didn't end up in a hospital

Evo1 PrevailI purchased 2 x EVO1 prevail fans a few years ago which ended not getting installed due to COVID etc. I am now ready to have them installed however very concerned in what I have just read in these reviews. Blades coming off, LED not working. Concerned I have had these fans for a few years, not installed that I am going to pay money for an Electrician, plus the price of the fans, I am going to have Blades flying off which sounds very dangerous. It seems I now have no where to stand and hoping issues raised in all the reviews does not happen.

Dangerous product..Beware!
Evo2 Endure2nd Fanaway fan,blade snapped and flew across the room landing on our dining room table..Unbelievably no one was hit!
This the second Fanaway we've had..first one replaced with same problem,which keft a big gouge in our kitchen wall.
So dangerous, how these haven't been recalled and discontinued is beyond me,Avoid at all costs!

No replacement diffuser available
Evo1 PrevailI purchased 6 of these light fans. The covers are very yellow so I travelled to the nearest Beacon store to see about buying replacement covers. I was told they needed a SKU number for the part. There is no SKU on these lights only a model number. Its very disappointing to be told that the florescent tube turns the cover yellow and it can't be changed so after buying 6 of them they all need to go in the bin. I feel very ripped off and this should be a recall issue if new parts can't be offered and the lights are rendered useless because of the combination of the florescent tube and the plastic!!!!

Malfunctioning LED lights
Evo1 PrevailI bought 2 fanaways which were not immediately installed as we were renovating. When installed the light malfunctioned and turned itself off and on and then stopped altogether. I sent a message to Fanaway about the fault - NO REPLY, I went back to the Beacon Lighting store I bought it from who told me to go to Middys electrical. Middys told me to go back to Beacon Lighting. Fan is fantastic I just keep bumping into things in the dark. I have a second uninstalled Fanaway for a yet to be renovated bedroom. Not intending to install it as they are crap. Beacon lighting and Fanaway service are also crap.

Avoid the EVO range at all costs
Evo 1 / 2 / 3Terrible. We have had nothing but problems with Fanaway EVO fans. The lights failed to function after one year. Beacon originally honoured their obligations and sent out a technician but we continue to have problems. The lights don't work when you want them to and then turn on randomly in the middle of the night. This is less than ideal when you have sleeping babies in the house! Beacon sent out replacement parts and told us we had to install them ourselves. The replacement parts did not fix the problem and Beacon are now denying any responsibility for the product which is clearly defective. Stay away!

Dangerous product
Evo 1 / 2 / 3This product is extremely dangerous.
2 years ago we had a Blade brake off and imbed itself into our bedroom wall. Beacon replaced the unit.
A few weeks ago the same thing happened! This time the blade hit the wall and fell on my sleeping partners head leaving a massive cut. This is not good enough and the product should be recalled.

Blade snapped off while in operation
Evo1 PrevailThis fan was installed when we built the house in 2009 since then we have replaced the bulb numerous times then the transformer needed replacing and just 1 week ago while on fan speed was on 1 (the fastest) the blade flung off and took a chunk out of the corner of a wall 4 metres away! Why has this product not been recalled yet by beacon!! I would like action taken on this fan before it causes serious injury.

I will not buy another
Evo1 PrevailI purchased two of these fans in 2017. Last year the light in my daughter's room started playing up - turning itself off and has now not worked at all for the last 2 months. The fan is fine - but it does not get used very much.
My electrician says it's the transformer, but when he tried to get a replacement has been told that replacement parts are no longer supplied for this product. He was offered another new fan at half price. They must be joking! Why would I purchase another of these?

Evo2 EndureAt first I loved this fan, we purchased 2 of them they looked and worked wonderful.
Yesterday however the fan blades just snapped off and catapulted through the air near missing my husband and myself.
What is more disappointing is beacons response, 'this is a good fan and that the reviews are not the norm' and hasn't happened often'. Really Beacon, that's your response? Terrible, it shouldn't happen once let alone many many reviews I read of happening all the time, is it going to take a serious injury before this fan is recalled? Will never recommend this fan or business to anyone ever again!

Details
While the Fanaway Evo series of ceiling fans with clear, retractable blades sounds innovative and chic, reviewers discover it has a dangerous design flaw.
Potential to cause injury
At least six reviewers were in the room when the fan blade snapped off and fell to the ground. Sometimes the hurtling blade hit and damaged furniture or walls along the way. In one case the blade collided with a lamp in a child’s bedroom and then proceeded to hit her in the face, leaving her with marks and bruises.
Other reviewers reported these problems with the Fanaway Evo models:
- The fan often simply stopped working or slowed down to the point where it became ineffective
- The noise level was difficult to put up with, even with the fan on a low speed
- The casing/ underside of the light discoloured over time, becoming yellow
- Overall this was an expensive fan to maintain, as reviewers racked up bills to replace faulty remotes, receivers, ballasts and bulbs
- Once the product fell out of warranty, there was often no respite from the main retailer, Beacon Lighting.
