Will be the last time I purchase a Fisher & Paykel
614L French Door RF610ADX4 (Stainless Steel)Purchased this product 22/12/2014 from the good guys for $2371. It wasn't my first preference. Electrolux had a visually identical model, but much better quality from the finish & the doors opening & closing, as the salesman agreed. However Electrolux didn't make them in the 600L+ capacity so I had to purchase this one. The fridge started to sound an alarm everytime you open the doors. I spoke to a technician over the phone and he said that wiring on one of the doors has broken. He said it is very difficult to pull apart and repair, and h

What I don't understand is that if there were severed wires in the french doors, why is the LED lighting on the doors still functional. If this wasn't enough another alarm has commenced on the fridge. Every 1 or 2 hours an alarm starts and the only way to shut it up is to open the door and mute the alarm from the electronic key pad within the fridge. Its the bottle chill function that's faulty. Technician couldn't resolve the problem over the phone. Its starting to get very noisy operating too. So for about 4 months we have been getting up to shut the alarm. Also the stainless steel finish scratches easily too. Before the alarms started, there is a long rectangular plastic back panel on the inside of the fridge that kept on popping out. Its underneath the Activesmart Technology writing. It was obviously a manufacturing fault. In the end I had to sticky tape it into place, from both sides. This occurred about 3 years ago. There is a little water build up happening as well. Definitely not worth the price tag. Since it's out of warranty, I don't believe its worth repairing & will purchase a Mitsubishi, perhaps the WX series. Mitsubishi are the best affordable fridges on the market. I have family friends who can swear by there quality. Not to mention the countless 5 star reviews present on this site. Their inverter compressors are of a high standard. Fisher & Paykel was acquired by some Chinese company, and is no longer a New Zealand brand. They weren't that good as a New Zealand brand anyway. In short, stick to Miele for washing machines, dishwashers and Mitsubishi for fridges.Great Fridge
614L French Door RF610ADX5 (Stainless Steel)I really wanted a French door fridge when the time came to replace our old one and the Fisher & Paykel 614 litre fridge was perfect. I love the width of the shelves which is great for large items. I even surprised myself with how much I could fit in it. We purchased this just before Christmas and it was great not having to jostle for room for everything on Christmas day. I would definitely recommend this fridge to any large family you can't go wrong.

614L French Door RF610ADX5 (Stainless Steel)We received this fridge via delivery from The Good Guys as part of a Kitchen renovation and to up grade an old fridge for my elderly In-laws home.
When the packaging was removed, I noticed the draw handle and draw face was badly damaged. I contacted F&P on 11th Feb and then had to wait another week before there Tech could call by to inspect the obvious damage.
I sent an email 2 days ago with no response so I called F&P and was told the parts are still coming (with no way of checking) and that I should wait for a call from the Tech in the near
Warning do not buy!!
614L French Door RF610ADW5 (White)This fridge - silver metal one - was one of the most expensive for it's size at Harvey Norman and F & P came highly recommended. Within 6mths generator failed and was replaced. Now 3 yrs later - hinges rusted which F & P as a good will gesture replaced, now joins in fridge and top of fridge rusting despite regular cleaning. 2 months ago the rubber seal started to come away from freezer door. F & P silent on doing anything regarding the rapid decay of their product. I am pleased I purchased Harvey Norman's product care replace - as I will need it!!! Fridges always have moisture within them so surely they should not rust or perish - especially in 3 years.

Had to get it serviced 11 times in 8 years
614L French Door RF610ADJX5 (Stainless Steel)We bought the Fisher and Paykel refrigerator 8 years back . In the very first year itself a fault in the freezer tripped our power . As this was in the warranty we didn’t have to pay for the service at least despite the extreme inconvenience and wasting hundreds of Dollars worth of groceries.
This was only the start though.
After that the ice maker alone had to be serviced more than 4 times for different issues . Then the refrigerator started leaking water and had to be serviced again After this the temperature gauge stopped working . Now i
Good solid fridge
614L French Door RF610ADX5 (Stainless Steel)6 months since purchase. Couldn't be happier. Had a single door f&p before. Inside is basic and does the job. Door handles very good unlike the hollow ones on others

614L French Door RF610ADX5 (Stainless Steel)This is OK for a large volume fridge, but it has practically nothing inside. The main storage area in the freezer is a large bin (with 2 small drawers above that), so you'll be digging through the large bin looking for frozen food. Very cheap and messy solution. The fridge also has very little inside - not even egg trays. For a $2,000 fridge surely F&P could have afforded to include fitted egg trays? I paid a premium for the F&P brand over other fridges, but definitely got less.

Reliable and the most quiet fridge
614L French Door RF610ADX5 (Stainless Steel)The F&P fridge has a very smart temperature stabilizing system, and it's almost not there at all., so very quiet.
The shelves are adjustable and very practical to suit all types of users.
It has NON-squeaky doors and are easy to open and close and they don't close with a bang like others.
power usage is great too. easy to clean and access inside of the tray compartments. true value for money.

Fridge # 2 & still faulty
614L French Door RF610ADJX5 (Stainless Steel)Purchased original Fridge Jan 2018. Original fridge serviced multiply times and eventually replaced. Fridge # 2 faulty for the day it was delivered. Deliver guys not interested. Dropped fridge and ran. Delivery boys complained they had to lift fridge up 3 stairs, not 3 levels just three stairs. Technicians have serviced second fridge at least 5 times with a carnival of errors. For each technician its Groundhog Day, never checking the history of the last service. Continually arrive without replacement parts after confirming with customer service
... Read more they have the parts. Last visit arrived and had the wrong replacement parts. Customer service and technicians obviously don’t consult with each other. It’s now 11 months since we purchased original fridge and today they are coming to service again. Fingers crossed they can get it together and fix the fridge. To unlikely customers, please do not purchase this fridge, it is absolute rubbish. The service department is completely disorganised and ineffective.Stylish yet practical!
614L French Door RF610ADX5 (Stainless Steel)Love this fridge. The French Door makes it easy to access the food and drinks, fits everything in so well due to the well laid out shelving including the door shelving and the tubs in the freezer. It's stylish, easy to clean but very easy to keep everything organised and see what you've got. Perfect fridge for my family!

614L French Door RF610ADJX5 (Stainless Steel)We had no problems to date. Functions as described. Ample soace inside. Seperate compartments for storage makes easy access.
Easy to open and close and has an alarm when doors are accidently opened.
One disadvantage is the weight of the fridge. Its pretty difficult to move around. But expected with a large fridge.

Great fridge
614L French Door RF610ADJX5 (Stainless Steel)Very quiet and an amazing looking. Keep the temperature very well, the freezer is a good size too. Well built, light, with plenty of space for a couple and enough room for a small family too.
Well. My family all love the spaxes it provides and the good division of all the foods that you out. We strongly give it a good thumbs up.
Also love the fact I can have lots of my protein stocked up in the freeze. And it is very energy efficient too. Love it.
Looks great but the ice tray takes up a lot of room
614L French Door RF610ADJX5 (Stainless Steel)Looked around for months to find a nice double door fridge but with also freezer which could also hold loads of food this was the one we picked but the ice tray takes up a lot of space so we sometimes remove it to free up extra space. The default settings seem to be set just right too.

614L French Door RF610ADX5 (Stainless Steel)Seems to maintain a very consistent temperature inside the fridge, including the door where I keep my milk and it seems to stay fresh much longer than my last fridge. The layout of the fridge and freezer is great and versatile with how you can set up the compartments. We opted not to get the model with the ice or water dispenser as it just adds more filters to clean and replace and takes up space in the fridge itself.

Sydney power rates ( dearest in the world i know )
I don't know how they could give you a definitive answer, as it depends on the temperature of the room, how packed it is, and how often you open the doors. The motor specs would give you a rough indication - very rough.
