Good fridge
This fridge is very quiet and easy to clean. The ice making machine does make a sound when it's unloading the ice and filling it with water but otherwise it's very quiet.
Only problem with the fridge is finding an accessible place to mount the water filter as it is an external filter.

I was told by F&P to OPEN THE DOOR SLOWER to fix door scratching issue!!!
First new fridge in 20 years!
All good at first until: -
-The flap spring on the left hand door broke.
-8 technician visits (Including extra visits due to wrong parts ordered)
-two new right hand doors (left flap scratching the right hand door)
-3 new springs
-1 new flap
-Loose Freezer handle (Was tightened by technician)
AND after the technician stated 'OPEN THE DOOR SLOWER' we are NO closer to a resolution.

Noisiest fridge I have ever come across
We purchased this fridge after doing a lot of research. Our final decision was based on features, appearance, and the Fisher & Paykel brand. Price was also a consideration but not the deal breaker.
The most disappointing thing about this fridge is the NOISE. It's ridiculous. We had a lovely quiet home until this fridge arrived, and now it's just what feels like one continuous low pitched buzzing sound. Nobody can stand it, and anyone who come into our home asks about THAT NOISE, within minutes of arriving.
We had Fisher & Paykel service ...Read more
technician come out and look at it, and he changed the mount clips that mount the compressor with new ones that vibrate less. He also told me that the buzzing was "normal" and it was because of new environmental regulations forcing them to use these parts that vibrate. It buzzes for 20mins, then goes quiet for 20. Over and over. I had to resist not laughing at him, honestly. I understand that fridges can make some noises, but I have since been to the homes of many friends with perfectly quiet fridges, and I have spoken to those selling other brands fridges, and all have agreed it's a ridiculous notion that I have to accept this. The new clips made a marginal difference, however it has since returned to being as noisy as ever. I would love to upload an audio clip for people to hear it themselves. At no point during the research stage, the purchase stage, nowhere did I read or was I told how noisy this thing was. If it was a television, or some other thing which buzzed all day and night, nobody would tolerate it. I am currently in the process of pursuing whatever measures I have, through warranty or otherwise, to have this fridge changed, or to receive my money back.Similar opinion? So far so good
My fridge died and I quickly had to make a decision on a new one. So far love everything about it. The lighting, the water dispenser (which has a great flow, apparently the older model the water only dribbled out) and the layout. It is very quiet and looks fabulous. Very happy with my purchase and the bonus of a $250 cash back promotion.
Six months on and our family is still so happy with the fridge. The fridge is quiet, easy to clean . My only comment would be that once there is some weight in the freezer drawer it does not run as smoothly as when you test it out on the showroom floor.
Recommended to my sister. Very happy.

Very happy with our purchase
I researched buying a french door fridge with ice maker for a long time. In my head I was 'sold' on another appliance however when I went to Harvey Normal to purchase, the fridge was too big for our space. I was told about this fridge and as it is a little smaller - it would fit in our space. I didn't get a chance to research in store, I just bit the bullet and purchased it. I couldn't be happier. Its a lovely looking fridge, very sleek and fits in the kitchen nicely. The water dispenser and ice maker are great, the ice maker is located in...Read more
the freezer - which is great for little kids - no ice missing cups and landing on the floor. The stainless steel is easy to clean and the shelves inside are easy to adjust and wipe up any spills. The fridge itself is very quiet, even when filling water / ice. I've only had the fridge for a couple of weeks, but very happy I made the on the spot decision to purchase.Similar opinion? Can't live without it
We bought this fridge 18 months ago and loved it. It gives you filtered cold water and ice cubes any time you want. No more buying ice cubes when you throw a party. The only down side is the the freezer drawer. It's ok if you don't have too much food in it. Otherwise it would be buried easily.
Overall, it is a good machine to have.

Good fridge
Bought this Fridge last december on boxing day, so far so good. Ice maker is working perfectly,it makes ice every 4 hours. Water in the dispenser doesn't really get cold, it gets cool but never cold. The only issue that we had with the fridge was the door handle, it was wobbly, we didn't have the proper equipment to screw it in properly so we called their support, since it's within warranty we arranged for a technician to screw both doors properly free of charge.

Great fridge
Thought I might give back to the community seeing as I'm always using this site for reviews. This fridge looks brilliant, every part of it is 100% functional and I love using it every day. It might be a bit small for a family of four unless you have a separate chest freezer as the freezer is quite small. The fridge compartment makes up for it though as it's quite big considering the smallish external dimensions. For my bachelor lifestyle this fridge is perfect.

. The freezer drawer being difficult to close is nitpicking and a non issue, and trust me i'm the most fussiest of buyers. This fridge makes my kitchen look great teamed together with the fisher and paykel dual dishdrawer and fisher and paykel oven.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect for our family of four!
This is a great french door fridge! I did a lot of research - my requirements were that the fridge had to be french door and was capable of having plumbed filtered water. Water had to be available from the door and it had to make its own ice. I was also limited by my cabined height (1770mm) and this F&P fridge was one of the few french door refrigerators that was under that height (most are 1780mm and above). The fridge looks great and was easy to connect up to the water supply (tap was already installed). The ice maker is awesome and keeps fil...Read more
ling the bin in the large freezer compartment until the bin is full or until the ice maker is turned off. I didn't need to have ice available on the door and prefer to have the slimline LED lit water dispense which my wife and I and the kids love. The fridge is spacious and keeps foods fresh. Separate fruit and vege draws are great too. I saw in some reviews that people said this fridge is noisy. I haven't found that at all and apart from hearing it fill icetray when making ice and dropping ice into the bin, I don't notice it at all. Fisher & Paykel have put a lot of effort into getting this fridge right and it shows. I highly recommend this fridge!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Was Very happy with this fridge until second break down
I was quite hesitant buying this fridge because of a few negative feedbacks that very written about it but on reading it most complained about it denting easy and that was probably least of my concerns as apposed to it running well and reliably. After reading the feedback on all the other french door fridges I chose this one because of the least complaints. I have had this fridge for a year now and it's been great. Yes it did mark when it received a knock but if that is the worst thing about it I am happy. It is a bit louder than my old fridge ...Read more
but not enough to be of a major concern. I was originally recommending this fridge as a five star until now. Just wanted to add some more information to this review!! This fridge has now broken down twice since my original review and Fisher and Paykel were very ordinary with dealing with my concerns over having to pay for a repair after only such a short time In fact when I asked for a person in charge to contact me no one ever did With this in mind I would like to warn people that whilst I was originally happy with this fridge I now am disappointed that it's been repaired twice in such a short period and one at my costSimilar opinion? Excellent
Bought this fridge and have been the proud owner for about a month.
Everything is running smoothly and couldn't be happier with all the features and aesthetics of this fridge.
Was a bit put off by some of the reviews I had read about the previous model but couldn't find anything as stylish that was plumbed with water and ice that didn't take away from the internal space within the fridge.
This fridge is huge and loving the space within. So thought I had better write a review to let people know that I am more than satisfied with this purchase.

Friends get jealous of my fridge
We weren't sure that spending the extra $200 to get the automatic cold water and ice machine would be worth it, and now we couldn't live without it! Both my husband and I drink more water because of it being so readily available! The fridge space is excellent and I love that we didn't have to sacrifice internal space to have the water, which a lot of the other fridges seemed to. The only negative is that the freezer is a bit on the small side, but this is the case with a lot of the other freezers anyway and it wouldn't put me off buying it agai...Read more
n. Our fridge sits on top of floor boards and the only noise we notice is when the ice tray is being filled and for the few short seconds it takes when getting more water from the tap but again, it definitely wouldn't put me off buying it and the noises only last a few short seconds.Similar opinion? Noisy
I find this refrigerator excessively noisy so purchase it with caution. F&P have only been marginally helpful but the vendor has been great. That said the problem has not been satisfied to my satisfaction. I have had it about 3 months now and remain frustrated and irritated by the compressor noise.
Layout, design, function
Noisy and difficult dealing with Customer service in NZ.

How do you get colder water from the water Dispenser?

Hi, We've had this model since January 2015.
It's been great until the last few weeks when we noticed that the items aren't cold enough. Food and milk have started going off quickly. Even the bread in the freezer is no longer rock hard.
We have a thermometer designed for measuring fridge/freezer temperatures, with markings for advised temps. Ours is showing well above these.
Fridge temp is between 11 and 15deg, and freezer only down to about -10deg.
I think this problem has been developing gradually without our really noticing it.
Experimenting with the temperature control changes little. In fact, contrary to what the instruction book says, the temperature is actually cooler with more lights. Currently I have it on full lights and the temperature inside fridge is 13.5. Foolishly last night I set the temperature in the other direction, a little below half lights, and food had spoiled overnight, temp reading this am was 15-16deg.
We need some help please!! (Brunswick, Victoria)

Its still under warranty show you should gwt it looked at by FP service department. Something must be wrong with motor.
Thanks, I phoned late this afternoon and someone is coming on Monday morning! Much quicker than I expected given the number of people on here who say service is bad.
I'll try to remember to update here with results.
Well, here I am again! I forgot to update that all was good for a couple of years after the fridge was taken away to repair a gas leak.
BUT! the same problem appears to be happening again. I'm in the process of testing the temperature in various parts of the fridge/freezer.
The freezer this morning was +1deg in the bottom drawer and +3deg in the top drawer.
Fridge was between 12 & 14 degrees.
I've changed the temperature settings and am leaving the fridge closed for minimum 3 hours.
I'll phone F&P this afternoon, but I'm not expecting much because the fridge, now more than 4 years old, is well out of warranty.
