I bought one from Radio Rentals, but there is no Serial Label any where in or on fridge. Only the Sale Card states its 2017. Rf522 ADUB5. 519L, but mine is Stainless Steel, NOT Black. It has water on right side door. What model could it be that was built in 2017 please?

Hi Audrey, ours came from appliancesonline.com.au It is in stainless steel without the water dispenser though. You might need to speak to Fisher & Paykel Customer Care Team to obtain your specific model & serial number.

Hi I recently purchased the RF522ADUX5 and received it today. I have tried to flush the ice maker per the instructions but no water is flushing through it into the ice tray. I have checked the ice tray is positioned correctly and water is being dispensed via the water dispenser. Is there a certain amount of time you have to wait to be able to flush it?

What colour are the LED internal control panel lights to adjust temperatures?
I've just noticed that mine are red, and I thought they were normally yellow ... wondering if there's a problem, but manual doesn't tell you what colour they should be?

Well after talking to F&P, and a fridge technician they recommended - none of whom knew, we have discovered they are supposed to be red! Not clever - red is the universal colour of 'problem' or 'danger'. Can you sort that F&P? Saves annoyances like mine!!!

This just happened to me. I believe your spring flapper has broken. It is a small spring at the bottom of the flap that keeps it pulled in until the flapper slides into the grooves when shut. We have a brand new fridge and it's so noisy!! It rattles constantly. I read the instructions and they say it's probably not balanced but we have tried and nothing changes. Is it just the fridge? It sounds like a loud vibrating rattle.

We've just bought our 2nd French Door fridge as I love the inside configuration. However, this 2nd fridge doors are really heavy and stiff to open. Nothing like the 1st fridge. Everyone comments as too how heavy the doors are to open. You need real muscles just to open the fridge! Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Mine feels like it opens normally, you should just have it looked at under warranty

ActiveSmart RF522ADUSX5 (Stainless Steel with Ice & Water)

For my newly purchased (second hand) slightly older model RF522ADUX1, is this the correct water and ice kit #836854 (see link below)? Do I need a 350kPa PRV (it also mentions a 600kPa valve)?

What is strange is the genuine article (see link) is $190 while all the online companies and trade site(s) are asking $219 - $223 (with 'RRP $395') for the exact same kit!!

https://secure.fisherpaykel.com/au/Catalog/ItemContent.aspx?ItemNumber=224270&CatalogId=003&CatalogDetailId=31&NSM=Y

Can I connect my fridge directly through a PRV and into the unit without a filter? Melbourne water is perfectly fine, I don't see why I need to filter it and get into the replacement filter buying cycle. Thanks in advance for help.

If you are happy drinking Melbourne tap water.
Defiitely fit PRV - guarantees constant volume and reduces risk of ruptured water hose.
Most times F&P parts are cheaper than 3rd party.

I have just got this fridge yesterday, its a good looking fridge, fit perfectly to my kitchen. My concern is the gliding noises when every time pulling out the freezer door. Has anyone had same problem?

Ours sounds the same. It's probably the roller bearings. The freezer specification says 159 litres. That's a lot of possible weight. So they probably had to use heavy roller bearings to carry the weight and survive being open and shut so many time in its lifetime. Maybe they made it loud so you know when someone is after the icecream also, lol.

Exactly, probably just for the purpose of saving ice creams ;)

Ours is having the same issue. Had the service guy out the day after we bought it. He has ordered new set of rails in the hope it will fix the problem. My issue is none of the display models we looked at (in multiple stores) had this issue, they were all quiet.

My RF610 French door with water, the left door does not close. It needs to have more tension to pull the door closed. It is not the flap inside. Is there a way that I can adjust the tension as the door will not pull itself closed from any position?
