I have a code 37 which I have read that this is the most common problem that occurs with Fisher and Paykel . . Do I need to replace the secondary pump or would a clean sort this problem?

Is not a common problem, very seldom happens (more chance of a controller or inlet valve)

I have had my My Fisher and Paykal Intuitive W812 top loader for 11 years.
Now when I do a wash, the machine starts to fill up with water, then a short time later it beeps and stops with a message saying "Help I'm not getting any water". I then have to press start to recommence the washing cycle.
Can anyone help?

HELP, my wife is not happy. I have a Fisher & Paykel 8.5KG top load washing machine not sure what model, but its about 5 years old. I have a problem, but it only happens once out of every 3 to 4 washes with the spin cycle and it doesn't drain. As it does work most of the time the pump is fine and it is not blocked. Any suggestion, maybe the control panel? also is it a cheap fix or do I look for a new machine.

1 answer

fisher_man

Depends which machine, each slightly different.
MAy have drain pump that overheats and cuts out, cools down and restarts, then cuts out again.
May take 3 - 4 washes to get hot enough to cut out.
When it cuts out wait and see if it turns on after 5 - 15 mins, runs for 10 - 30 seconds and cuts out again.

I am not a WM mechanic, I have a different model to yours, my model doesn't give fault codes in numbers. Sorry I can't help.

fisher_man

Need to select the size of the machine
the Controller can fit different sized machines.
Documentation with controller will tell you how to set the size.

Hi Aceking, how did you go with your machine. I have the same model number as your, and I think I need a controller board I was wondering where did you purchase your from and how much. Is it easy to put in (or fix) Thank in advance for your reply.

Controller needs to be configured for the machine its in.
You should have received instruction on how to do.

how long does it take to wash a full 10kg load?

It depends on what options you choose for the cycle. I mostly use the normal cycle, which takes about 55 minutes.

Sorry can't be specific. It depends on what you are washing and what cycle you have chosen. To get an idea you could download the product manual. Having said that though even though it says 'xx' minutes to go you can be sure it will longer. Even my husband noticed this. You can't look at the display and think ok there is 25 minutes left and think it will be finished then - 5 minutes to hang out and you can leave the house in 30 minutes. You don't even know what part of cycle it's on - is it still washing, is it rinsing, is it about to go to next cycle?.... There was one load that had problems balancing to spin. Over and over and over again it went back to what might have been a rinse cycle and refilled and started from there each time. I didn't realise it initially the time but when I did I noticed the display went from say 13 minutes through to 7 minutes then it was 12 minutes to 6 minutes then 10 minutes as so on. I tried to figure out what the hell it was doing . What a bloody waste of time and water.... In the end I stopped it, moved the items around and just turned the knob to spin the items... The last F/P machine I had would try and rebalance without intervention from me and if it couldn't it would stop and beep for assistance...

I'm sorry if I've given anyone tge idea that I'm anything but a very happy F&P Washing Machine owner.

My review was to hopefully help people who are looking at purchasing this machine.

But I am unable to help with your technical problems, etc. I suggest you get in touch with the place you purchased from or F&P Customer Service.

Good luck: )

fisher_man

The machine thinks the lid isn't locked, even though it is.
To open lid, lift up hard. it will pop open.
The first thing I would try is another lid lock - It locked, but didn't tell the controller.

Wew have had a fabric smarter a couple of months now it keeps moving out from the position where we have installed it after each wash cycle.

Suspect it is the spin cycle which causes the problem

How do we stop this happening?

Thanks

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to this. When our was delivered and installed, the gentleman checked the level of the nachine. Ours stays in place and to tell you the truth, I'd hardly know it was spinning, it's so quiet.
Maybe check with the place you purchased it from to see if this could be the solution.
Good luck: )

Ensure the feet are evenly supporting the machine.
If so then the suspension has worn out and needs to be replaced.

Water is leaking from the lid. This started happening after I had washed a pillow and it must have gotten stuck because the pillow was ripped and tiny fragment pieces of plastic from the machine came out too. It's a fisher and paykel top loader fabricsmart model number wa80t65fw1. I have checked the diverter valve if there was any plastic stuck in it but there wasn't any. Any tips is much appreciated. Thanks

Sorry I don't know. It's funny how it's leaking as the water is nowhere near the lid. Maybe the jam has effected the auto water level indicator and now it is overfilling? Try selecting the level manually.

error 37. what does it mean?

2 answers
Izzy
Izzy

Hi Dave, I'm sorry i'm not much help, I'm not sure what that means as It has not happened to my machine ( yet!!). It sounds like a generic code for machine being overloaded or a blockage. Try turning it off at the power point then turning on again. Here is the link to the website, https://www.fisherpaykel.com/au/support/expert-tips/how-to-videos.html. Failing that I think they have a help line you can call or the shop you purchaced it from.

fisher_man

No change in water level when draining.
Blocked pump - esp if you washed the pet blanket or mohair rug.
Kinked drain hose etc.

How do I cancel the Delay Start option to zero. Seems I have to with for the machine to start at the lowest available time slot which is 5 minutes. Surely there should be an instant start up or is this normal?Any body know if there is a stop function to the Delayt Start mode option?

1 answer

Try this - it will reset everything back to factory default mode.
On at power point, off at machine.
1. Press and hold the KEYLOCK and STARTPAUSE buttons together for 3 seconds. Three quick beeps
will be heard, indicating that the Option Adjustment mode has been entered. (The machine will show the
default setting for the cold wash temperature.)
2. Select the EASY IRON cycle.
3. The LED display will show rst. Press and hold the START/PAUSE button until the machine powers off to
reset the washer.
Let me know how it goes.

No fuse, most likely controller faulty - call F&P technician.

No fuse, just sorted my f&p fabricsmart. The motor contoll unit had blown. Make sure everything is unplugged etc. remove the lcd screen/ cover. Only 2 screws. Module is bright yellow/ orange. I took mine out. Take note or pics where all the wires go. Once you have the brightly coloured module out . Just pop the cover to have a look inside. DO NOT TOUCH THE CAPACITORS INSIDE !
the brightly covered cover will have burn/ scorch marks on the inside.
Just order a new one from f&p and refit new module.
Once turned on you will need to select the drum size otherwise fault code 9 keeps coming up. Hold down lifesyles and left arrow button after turning on. Select drum size and your good to go :)
