It just works
washes well, is mostly quiet in operation and though sceptical about full auto it does a good job in selecting fabrics, spin speed and wash action. Powder through the top is easy and never found anything undissolved. You can set how you like or just press start, now been running for 3 years including a move out of Sydney.

Strong smart loader.
Plenty of options to choose from when washing. Have put in large loads consistently and seems to do a pretty good job. I have used Fisher front loaders but prefer the top loader edition seems to get the job and stir the suds around more effectively. Can be too aggressive

Good washing machine but...
Negatives first: 1. Take the top off to load washing powder 2. Left oil stain on white shirt putting down to clumped laundry powder 3. Chewed up new sock under fin probably due to low water usage on auto water level. 4. Plastic bottom part of inside drum already scratched probably from press stud on polo( recommend turning clothes inside out)
The machine washes heaps better than my old Whirlpool. Lots of different cycles. Much quieter. Have used all cycles including washing pillows on bulky all very good. Recommend reading manual to know how e...Read more

Good product
This washing machine cleans and washes clothes great. It doesn't wear out the clothes and it is quiet once the door is close. The only thing I dislike is that it auto drains the water unless you put it on pause. In an older previous model the washing machine could be switched off and soaked the clothes. With this model if you turn it off it will auto drain which is frustrating and a feature you can't turn off. It has been a while since I bought a washing machine and I wish I had known that auto drain was a thing. Other than that the machine is great and I have had no issues. It is very simple to use!

The little washer that could
Purchased in 2013, were were a little worried about the push-button controls, having only ever owned rotary knob washers. Since that time, we've been very impressed with the washer performance. It senses the level of clothing in the bowl, and adjusts the water level accordingly. It's saved us a bit of money on water usage, and it's ability to pre-program washes based on the dirtiness of clothing, rinsing, soaking and drying options is virtually endless.
Clothes are cleaned and rinsed well - there's no soapy residue (as we've experienced with ...Read more

Not liking some features
It is really bugging me that the designer of this machine thinks everybody is an irresponsible mother of a toddler who will fall into the bowl and drown. I am 66 and don't even know any toddlers, let alone have one playing in my laundry, so why do I have to suffer the machine emptying water out of the bowl if I leave the machine on pause for more than 3 minutes? In this country it is a sin to waste water like that, let alone the washing detergent that was in it. Has anybody found out how to turn this crazy feature off? The other thing I d...Read more
on't like is that I can't easily tell what part of the cycle the machine is at. Sometimes I might wash something by hand and just want to throw it in before rinsing or the spin starts but unlike the older version I had of this machine which had lights to indicate what part of the cycle it is on, this one has a count-down to end of cycle timer, and it is too difficult to work out where it is at any time.Similar opinion? Bought for my mother
For the price it is a good machine. My mother wanted it because it had an agitator. She used to have an old washing machine and she had read up about how when it doesn't have an agitator it does not wash your clothes as good. She also needed a top loader as she cannot bend down.
This model was a good size. Not too big and when it is just her she can put it on the short cycle. It was simple to hook up and the controls are simple to use. It is average when it comes to noise. No noisier then mine that I have at home.
So far no complaints.

Hmmmm....too early to call!!!
Replaced our 10 year dud Simpson with this one but it's too early to judge the performance. My other half is not enterly convinced yet! She chose this one because it had an agitator so am staying right out of it!! However, it's not as versatile as stated on the brochure! On the hindsight maybe the basic model would have been a better choice.

Love washing with my new miracle machine
I am happy with my new washing machine that I have purchased for a growing family of 4. I can fit lots and lots of clothing in this 8.5 kg. I previously owned a 5 kg washer. It makes a big difference and I would recommend it for growing family needs. Good length of cycle and clothes come out clean and less creased. It is not that noisy when spinning.

It makes my life easy. I like it!
I like a washing machine with an agitator compared to the one without. I set and forget this model so I really like it.I don't have to keep changing the settings. It has a timer so I know when the wash is going to finish. It has a pause button in case you need to add more clothes. The only thing I don't like is, it doesn't collect the lint or it doesn't have a lint bag so sometimes the lint are left on the clothes specially the blacks. Overall, I am very happy with it coz it makes my life easy.

Not the best.
Cleans clothes fine but we have had to have it serviced twice.
The agitator wings broke off through normal wear and tear. Had to replace that.
The computer died, had to replace that.
Otherwise, it's a washing machine, it does what a washing machine should do.
If I could go back, I would buy a machine without an agitator.

Cleans like a dream
After our Hoover decided to die after 18 years I decided to go for something a little more intelligent. The Fisher & Paykel 10kg washing machine is an absolute beauty! a major upgrade from my previous washer. It cleans clothes perfectly and is easy to use with all its pre selected modes. It's great on water efficiency and runs fairly quietly compared to my previous machine. I love the feature of the washing detergent being circulated when the machine is filling up.

Love my new washer!
I was on holidays and stayed in a serviced apartment which had this washing machine. I was very impressed with all the features, like the length of the cycle, how quiet it is when washing and the quality of the washed load. When I came back to Sydney I started looking for the same product & found one in the 2nds World. I am very happy with my new washer!

Not as good as expected.
Frustrating that you can't fill the machine with water and pause or stop it for a few minutes - or longer - and start it when you want. The machine will drain the water out...They say it's a safety feature however it's quite a tall at almost 1m high at the front. Well I'm sorry if someone chooses to put their heads into the washing machine while it's filling - or stopped - who am I to stop them... Tells you how long left to go - which isn't accurate - and doesn't tell you what part of the cycle it's on eg wash/first rinse/second rinse/ or spin...Read more
. I find this extremely annoying - if I want to add something to the spin cycle I can't - it goes back to rinse again. Seems hard on clothes. Would prefer better lint removal. Do like it can hold more items - but that's one reason why you would get it in the first place. The hoses are flimsy - not like previous F & P washing machines. Did prefer previous models.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not as impressed as I was hoping to be.
I was a bit unsure about this machine as I'd read a few reviews that said it wasn't very good at filtering the lint out, but I'd also read a lot of good reviews. I'm mostly happy with it as it does a good job of washing the clothes, however I do sometimes have a problem with lint, especially on the towels.
That being said, the 10kg capacity is absolutely fantastic! I can fit twice as much washing in as I could in my old Ariston 8kg front loader, and it washes them quicker too.
I'm overall fairly happy with it, but the lint issue can get a tad annoying.

Good wash and quite machine
Wash options meet our needs and the whole wash cycle is very quite. The only issue is that all liquid or powder soap has no soap dispenser within the top of the cover as earlier models had. You can certainly load this up with queen bed linen plus other whites an accepts the load with ease. Prefer to nominate the water level and not the auto water level.

Would Definitely Recommend
I have had 2 previous F&P top loading washing machines.
The first "Eco-Active" model I sold to my mother when I had to downsize when moving into a unit. She totally loved it, as did I.
The second was the smaller version on the original and after approx 13 years of loyal service it started to get a little tired.
There was no hesitation in buying another F&P machine. In fact, I was a little sad to see my old machine go ... but ... I think I am a little in love with the new machine.
I have read some of the other reviews but can't agree. I have always been a laundry sorter and have never had a problem with lint.

Such a bad experience
I had the previous Fisher and Paykel Fabricsmart washing machine for 15 years. It was awesome. When it died, I replaced it with the latest version of the same model. That was a mistake. The new one constantly goes out of balance, it leaves white residue on everything, and the absolute worst bit, at only 2.5 years old the agitator fins have snapped! This meant that it put holes in my clothes! I rang Fisher and Paykel to request they fix the agitator fins, and they told me the machine is out of warranty so I would have to pay to get it fixe...Read more
d! I pointed out that under the Australian Consumer Law goods have to be of an acceptable quality and durability, and if they fail outside of the warranty period the manufacturer is still obligated to repair the issue if it is reasonable to expect that the goods would last for that amount of time. I asked them if they thought it was reasonable that an $809 washing machine would fail after 2.5 years. They said yes! They also said that the consumer law did not matter to them, and they are bound by internal processes, not the law. So... now I'm deciding whether to just ditch the thing and replace it with another brand, or whether I go to my local office of fair trading and spend the time and effort to fight them. Please be very wary when dealing with this company. Anyone who considers themselves not subject to the laws of the country they are trading in is a matter of concern.Similar opinion? Best Machine Ever!!
Got rid of the over $1000 Panasonic front loader always chewing up my clothes. After extensive research I went with this machine. Best choice I ever made. I am so happy with this machine, it cleans clothes really well and the agitator is not too big so it doesn't tangle clothes. The only thing is there was a fair bit of lint on the clothes, it's suppose to be a no filter machine that washes away lint. I called Fisher and Paykal and they sent me out a filter. I will give it 5 stars for quality of machine and service. ★♥¨*:•.THANK YOU.•:*¨¨*♥
